This was our first time at DA Vines. My husband and I attended a ticketed event called the "Old Town Showdown" dinner, where two local wineries, Rubix and Da Vine, went head-to-head with a blind tasting. We were served a 6-course dinner paired with a wine from each winery, and then we voted on what wine we felt paired best with the course. It was so fun. We decided do stop at this spot on our way to Jerome and so glad we did. Not super busy on a Friday 2pm. Walked in and get outdoor seating and most of the patio was shaded. Thea was our server and she offered great suggestions. The wine flights 3/16 is a great deal and we got a poor. 2 ounces each poor is a steal. I got the ham and gruyere sandwich with duck fat frites and it was so good! Very chill and relaxing spot. Limited but really good food menu. The ham and cheese melt was simple and delicious made with with tasty toasted bread. Crispy duck fat fries were served with fresh made ketchup and garlic aioli. French dip was excellent served on a tasty baguette and a green garden salad. The patio is mostly shaded in the afternoon by large trees and is very pleasant. Came here to try out the Wines because I had a Groupon deal. The outdoor patio was so calm and relaxing. The views during fall mad it the perfect afternoon stop. The staff here were so attentive and took really good care of us. The wine was very tasty. The appetizer and food tends to be a little bit overpriced, but the charcuterie board was quite delicious. My wife and I were very excited to finally get to visit this Bistro and tasting room. We always enjoy seeing them at festivals and sipping their wine. I got the French dip and my wife got the Bree and a salad. The presentation was nice and showed attention to detail. The fries were crafted in duck fat. They were nice and thin and perfectly cooked. Thinly chopped chives were sprinkled over top, even the catchup had finally chopped fresh herbs in it, tasted wonderful. I really enjoyed the sandwich and I think I drank all of the liquid goodness afterwards. The layout was very welcoming, and the tables were a very intelligent design. I wanted to buy five glasses of wine just to hang them in the little slots on the table but instead we bought two bottles of Cab Franc and was told they were the last two bottles in the store. An excellent place to hear local music. However, note that if the music is taking place in the patio, that is a very small place...just a few tables. What I went there specifically for was some music, but also their salade nicoise (with grilled ahi). This turned out to be excellent, and I would highly recommend it, though not cheap ($29). So what is good to learn is that, unlike Sedona's sweet Vino di Sedona, the music place/cafe here in Cottonwood can do good food. Also a lovely waitress. I am not a big fan of Arizona wines, so I did not try these. BTW if you go for live music, you should make a reservation. They might be able to take you without, or maybe not. read more

We got step-ford wife style repeated information about the one wine we were interested in "Smoky front with green pepper ending." No table service - They poured a first taste - you had to go back and stand in line to get a second pour. 3 pours for $30 and they asked for tip. Forgot I wasn't in CA. What a delightful treat to visit this place. On a sunny Saturday afternoon I took a day trip to Cottonwood to experience Da Vines Vineyard Wines & Bistro. I had a Groupon for a wine tasting for 2 with a charcuterie board. Coming from South Phoenix, it was well worth the trip. The wine tastings were refreshing and the charcuterie board was delicious. I also ordered duck fat fries to try which were very good. The wine flights - 2020 Mourvedre (my sister's favorite)/ 2020 Sangiovese / Sangria / Jolie Cerise Rose' (my favorite) / Muscat Blanc / Cabernet Sauvignon. All tasted very good and not very sweet which is what I like. The inside was very well lit from the sunlight which made it all the more pleasant to enjoy the decor and ambience of this quaint spot. Service was great learning about the Vineyard and wine. I look forward to returning to enjoy a bottle of the Jolie Cerise Rose. read more

We had the best time here! We went on a date to have the charcuterie board and flights of wine. Enjoyed it very much -- loved it! Prices were reasonable too. They had a musician starting as we arrived, it was planned we heard it was a bit classic rock style and we stayed until closing to watch the guy play guitar. He took requests, it felt like the place was smaller and more intimate. The service was fantastic too. The waitress came out with our order fast and she was friendly. This is our third time visiting the area, but first time in Cottonwood. We've been to more than a dozen vineyards and tasting rooms but found Da Vines to be the best for heavier reds. DA Vines was our favorite wine and food winery. All wines are homemade unlike others that produce the wine and then blend them. We each choose a 3 wine flight - one white and one red. Incredible quality, flavor, and complexity of all their wines. We had a Groupon for 2 wine flights and a charcuterie board for 2 for about half price! We read the reviews, and our hotel had a 20% off coupon. We ordered 2 Croque Madam, the French toast board, and a quiche. I ordered a flight of white wine and my friend ordered a glass of 5 Sisters. I included that as one of my choices ij the flight, and I really enjoyed it. My husband attacked his French toast so fast I blinked, and it was gone. He said it was really good. French toast is one of his favorites, and he liked the board presentation with various toppings. The quiche was beautiful; spinach marbled through the egg mixture. The croque madam was piled high with ham and prosciutto. It had more meat than any croque madam I've ever had. It was all delicious. Besides the wonderful food and wine, this restaurant is set back from the main area downtown. It had easy parking and didn't have a long line to wait. I don't have pictures because we ate it so fast. The wines here are excellent especially the Mourvèdre and Cab Franc. They also have an excellent little bistro where you can grab a bite to eat with your wine. The tastings are 2 oz. Kinda disappointed after reading so many great reviews. The wines were very good, the inside bistro area was very nice. Not a fan of the techno music that was being played, we were hoping that it would be a smooth jazz vibe. The baked brie, bread and jam were fantastic, the French Onion Soup was ok, the Beet Salad needed more beets, goat cheese and candied pecans rather than pine nuts would have complimented the salad better. Unfortunately, we are big on service, and this is the area where they fell short. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful until a big group came in and was seated on the patio, then we never saw her again. Once we received our check and paid the tab, we were pretty much invisible. Not sure if we will be back, maybe for just a glass of wine on the patio. read more
