What a fun spot! I love that they feature wines you can't really find anywhere else. Although nestled in a row of wine tasting rooms, they pull out the hidden gems to give you a taste of some special Arizona wine flavors. The folks here are also really knowledgeable, helpful and excited to share the story of Arizona wines (and their local wine makers), so don't be afraid to ask! Wines aside, the art here is amazing! I wanted to take home so many of the paintings. The sitting areas, super comfy couches, back room which host small events, are all wonderful spaces to hang out and sample some of Arizona's unique and wonderful wines (and art!)

Such a beautiful and vibrant spot! The aesthetic and artwork are absolutely stunning -- you can tell a lot of thought went into the vibe. We came here to celebrate my best friend's bachelorette party and had the pleasure of meeting Val. She made us feel so welcome and comfortable from the moment we walked in. You can genuinely feel her passion for what she does, and it made the experience that much better. We asked her to pour us her favorite wines -- and wow! I've never liked Chardonnay before, but the one she recommended totally changed my mind. Out of all the places we visited in Old Town, this was by far our favorite. I can't wait to come back!

We finally made it in to The Eureka Room and it was even better than expected-amazing selection of wine and great service, fun vibe. Val was awesome and had great recommendations for wine. We can't wait to go back!

Came by on Saturday afternoon and it was such a delight! The place is eclectic and full of local art, which gives it a unique charm and a sense of creativity around every corner. There are several little rooms and cozy seating areas to choose from, each with its own personality, making it feel like you can find a new favorite spot every time you visit. It's the kind of space that invites you to slow down and really enjoy the atmosphere. The wine was delicious and paired perfectly with the relaxed, welcoming vibe. Overall, it's absolutely worth a stop if you're looking for a laid-back afternoon destination that combines local culture, character, and great drinks!

A view from a table alongside the front window. People watching in one direction, art and conversation in the other. It's a perfect perch.

We have been amazed... that the Southwest and especially the Verde Valley area has so many viticultural qualities that stand out. Being somewhat connoisseurs of good vino we're always on the lookout for more extraordinary and delicious wines in Arizona. Wine enjoyment is very subjective, and our tastes may not reflect yours but what we have found here at the Chateau Tumbleweed Winery defines the regions wine eminence and potential. Of most the wines tried an overwhelming number we found to be of high quality. Their white, red, and rosé varieties are a refined sort, giving each a uniqueness that one can distinguish from other vintners. They have made a specific point of utilizing some of the best of the best vineyards across Arizona thereby designing their own distinctive approbation to their own product. Some our faves on our visit are the refined Cimmaron Vinyard Mourvèdre 2022, the pixelating Picford Blanc 2023, the refreshing Rex 2022 and the exhilarating Miss Sandy Jones 2023. We took some home! Miss Sandy, Mourvedre, Rose and Dos Amigos. Enjoying a few wine choices at their location is a relaxing, enjoyable and flavorful happening as they offer a calming and comforting outdoor patio area conducive to sipping and enjoying. If you're wine connoisseurs like us, you will enjoy a pause here for some refreshing and enjoyable sips on the patio.

While making the reservation I made a note that our oldest son is autistic and non-verbal and his only form of communication so that staff was aware we decided to give this place a try. After spending close to $800 on food for our party we decided to exit the restaurant and that is when the problems began. As we were walking out another customer at the bar a patron at the bar decided to squeal at my son but also yell into his face. When who I assumed was her daughter realized we saw what was going on she covered her mouth and told her to stop. Being adults and understanding of others different situations we decided the best method was to approach the management team and explain the situation. I then approached a manger who was wearing a pink colored collared shirt and explained to her what happened and her response was "that hurts my heart, we do not stand for that and we will definitely do something about this." We waited outside for about 15 minutes to see what was going to be done and once we saw nothing was I went back in to speak to the general manager. This was definitely the worst part of the night. Tiana came out to speak to us and I asked her to speak on the side so that other patrons were not affected. Her response to me after explaining the situation was "since we did not see it we cannot do anything." I let her know that was an inappropriate response and that since it was a private business they could remove any patron for any reason but if they did not want to do that then she could just openly tell me that. I then gave her an example and stated "if I stab someone and you do not see it then you would not remove me?" Her response was "we definitely would," to which I stated that goes against what you just openly told me and she that there is damage from a stabbing. I then stated to her that physical damage is the same as emotional and mental damge just in a different form which she seemed to easily dismiss. She then stated that the first manager I spoke to was doing her due diligence to find out what happened and I then pointed out that that manager was actually waiting tables and we watched her do this the entire time so I was not sure when due diligence was being completed. We went around in circles, I asked her to give me the ownership information to which she stated "the owner is too famous for you to know," but eventually gave me the name which I had already searched for in my phone. At this point I openly stated that she could just tell me they were not going to do anything and that transparency would be more appreciated to which her response was "you are not currently dining in my restaurant so you need to leave my property." We did walk away but I hope that this is addressed and not pushed aside. All that to say, I hope this type of discrimination was not because we were Hispanic (the restaurant was filled with 90% Caucasian clients), because we were from out of town (from California) and mostly I hope it is not because the stance of the restaurant is not that people with disabilities matter less. I hope someone reaches out to me to address this concern and I hope no other family has to be a part of what we went through tonight. Tiana seems to be invested in the business and that is great but should also understand her customer concerns. Update to this review: Called this morning (2/17/26) and the hostess said she was not going to help me with any information, that I was a weirdo, to grow up and then hung up the phone on me.

This place is not looking to slam out every table rather let folks enjoy the experience, sit back, relax, live in the moment. For some, speedy service is necessary. Not always the case for us - thankfully not the case this evening. The table next to us were celebrating a 30yo's bday and complaining to the manager about slow service until they got comp'd... then we heard the guy complaining that his cc was maxed out... - food is locally sourced, much of it owned by the owner so the prices are VERY unexpectedly reasonable. We read the disclaimer on the bottom of the menu stating possible risk of cross-contamination and informed our server that a member of our party has celiac disease, despite this declaration we were served allergens TWICE. Both the fried gnocchi with the steak and a pizelle cookie hidden in the ube gelaska were served despite our clear notice. Food safety is a significant responsibility, and it appears the kitchen staff ignored the modifier on the service ticket for the steak (the server forgot to add the modifier on the dessert dish) and the server did not pay attention to the presentation prior to delivering the dish to the table. While the manager was lovely and effective at de-escalating the situation, the initial server's reaction was to walk away. Celiac disease is a serious health issue, not a dietary preference, and requires strict precautionary measures. Unfortunately, the carelessness displayed by the staff deters us from returning, as this lack of attention to detail poses a serious health risk to your patrons. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously to ensure better safety protocols in the future. It's a beautiful establishment with an incredibly unique menu that deserves better service and care from the staff.

We had been in the car all day and we were looking forward to chatting about the wine and learning from the tasting room employee. We haven't been to Cottonwood in several years and thought it would be a nice chat. Nothing too involved. We didn't want to take her time from other customers. We just enjoy these types of interactions at wineries and that's how we learn about the wine, the industry etc. Well, we walked up to the bar and we were told to take a seat wherever we'd like. (There was only one other couple in the tasting room at the time, so it wasn't busy.) The employee told my husband, "we serve you like a restaurant here" and she gestured towards some chairs. My husband followed up and said "so, we can't stand at the bar?" She then became very rude and snippy and said "this is where I work." So... we grabbed a couple of menus and took a seat, but at this point we were so upset by how rude she was being that we couldn't enjoy the wine and I suggested that we leave before I said something to her about her behavior. To be fair, yes, the bar is where she "works." It's a wine bar and we were there to drink wine and I can't imagine any other work she would have to do that would take precedence over selling wine to excited customers who were interested in paying for a tasting and we probably would have bought a couple of bottles as well. I very much doubt that her boss would think that whatever "work" she was doing at the bar was more important than selling wine and taking care of customers. We aren't loud, we aren't annoying and we certainly wouldn't have bothered her if she looked like she was in the middle of some kind of project, but not to allow us to even stand there was just jaw dropping. I didn't get her name, but she had long black hair and looked late middle aged. Very disappointed. Appalled even.
