What made the experience truly shocking was what happened after we left. The manager, along with several patrons, followed us outside the restaurant, where we were taunted and subjected to shouted insults. No customer should ever have to endure harassment simply for dining at an establishment or expressing concerns. A restaurant's management sets the tone for the entire business, and in this case the manager's conduct created a hostile and intimidating environment. Regardless of the circumstances, treating customers with basic respect and professionalism should be the minimum standard. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on our experience. The food is secondary when customers are made to feel unsafe, disrespected, and harassed. I hope ownership takes these concerns seriously and addresses the behavior of both management and staff before someone else has a similar experience.

The drinks arrived on a wooden palate and were enough for the two of us to enjoy a variety. All of them were delicious. (You can also try their spirit flights.) What's fun is the drinks are served in beakers. Big Spirits has a bigger place in Bellefonte which we've been to as well. Just be forewarned that they lock their door fairly early. If you do buy a T-shirt, I want to say, while the shirts are great, wash up nice and feel really comfortable, make sure you buy an upsized shirt. And I got to speak with (I think either the manager or owner) about the music they were playing. They were playing songs from my favorite singer, Bob Seger. I have every Bob Seger song he ever published on either, CD, Cassette Tape (yeah, still got one that works), or vinyl record. Told him he needs to check out the Bob Seger song Little Victories. I actually have a vinyl record with just that song. It is the large 78 version. That was a rare find and I actually found that in Germany in the mid 80's. The song says a lot. Anyway, after speaking with the man, my daughter said I could pick out and mix my own six pack of beer. Let me tell you, Rusty Rail makes some really, really fantastic beer. I would have to say my two faovrites are Wolf King, a stout with coffee & oatmeal and the other is Fool's Gold, Peanut Butter Hefeweizen. Oh my God, those two are absolutely great beers. I should be living in Mifflinburg because I would be making a weekly stop at the Rusty Rail. And for all you ex-military people, the Rusty Rail does give a discount to military. And as a compliment to the Rusty Rail, I want to add this. When I go out to eat, one of the first things I do is use the restroom. Why? To see how clean the restrooms are. If a venu's restrooms are dirty, find another place because if they can't keep the restrooms clean, then they don't care about your food much either. They import and sell exclusively Italian wines, and they source their wines directly from farmers who are dedicated to organic farming practices. They also import many wines from young winemakers as well as female winemakers (from regions where female winemakers are not very common). The tasting room is very comfortable and had plenty of seating for people on a Saturday night around 6. You can drop in for shopping (they offer all 50 of their wines in their bottle shop) or to hang out (they offer rotating flights, glasses of wine, and a build your own charcuterie board menu). I was there for the $30 tasting (which is by reservation only), which included five wines and a some snacks (some chips, some cheese, some olives, and some fresh preserves/jam). Bailey, their somm, took such great care of me throughout my tasting. He brought me a map of Italy and described each wine and the winemaker with incredible detail and insight. I enjoyed all of the wines and the snacks! I also left with a few bottles to enjoy later at home! I had a great time at Vine Bar. They're doing something very cool and different from other wine bars, and I'd love to return for another tasting or just to enjoy a glass of wine or two at the bar.
