I teach piano, guitar, bass, and other stringed instruments. In just a few short years, I’ve built a roster of students, young and old, who began their music journey with me and haven’t slowed down since. My method doesn't stop at students learning music theory, building repertoire, or mastering their chosen instrument. I aim for the fundamentals and disciplines with a more open-ended, explorative approach to reach that aspect of genuine, soul-fulfilling enjoyment that keeps my students engaged. With proper balance, the things they ought to practice become the things they want to practice.
Meet the Business Owner: Steve P.
I’m a musician with a focus in fretted string instruments. I’ve been in practice for over 20 years, and counting. I began teaching piano, guitar, bass, mandolin, and ukulele in music stores and independent academies across the metro Detroit area. After only a few years, I had built a roster of regular students that called to open y own lessons studio.
If I have anyone to thank for my success, it’s the troupe of musicians with the most prominence and longstanding pertinence in my lessons of music and life—my family. The guidance from my parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles taught me to balance practicing music with being a positive role model for the little guitar players and pianists down the line. This led to being prodded by the troupe to take up teaching, where I found the calling that I was meant for.
