Pasquale's is located in the small community of Boaz, Alabama and when reviewing this place, I must take into consideration of where it is and the type of food being offered. I was traveling with a few clients to a business meeting in Boaz and they selected here. Honestly, my expectations were not too high. I will also say that ultimately, my expectations were met and were exactly as I thought that the food here would be. We all went with the buffet, which consisted of a small salad area, a couple if kinds of pasta with one sauce, garlic bread and a few types of pizza. The pizzas were plain, vegetable, sausage, and pepperoni. The dough was those terrible pre-made one that are akin to frozen pizza that you run through an oven conveyor. This is the kind of pizza that makes places like Domino's or Little Caesar's seem better than they are. The tomato sauce for the pasta though was not bad. Honestly, kind of surprising. I am sure it came from a jar or a can, but I thought it wasn't bad. The service here was friendly enough, but you just order at the counter, so I would not say it offers any kind of servers. my wife works school over 30 minutes away. I came to pick up her meal. they don't have bags put the salads in so you have to carry the boxes out bear handed and they don't have cupholders and when I ask them for cup holder I was told to "put it in a bag and tied up five drinks on a 30 minute ride in plastic bag. I also asked if I could pay for the food and pick it up after I had my meal but instead I had to swallow my whole meal really fast because I was shoved my other food out. They don't even let you pay for your food to pick it up before you leave now you pick it up right then right there no questions asked just downright rude. read more

I grew up eating Pasquale's in Boaz. It has always been one of my top "go tos" when I am in town. Today i had one of the worst meals I have ever had in any restaurants. I opted for the buffet but quickly regretted it. The entire bowl of lettuce was brown. The emplyees and what appeared to be the owners who were cooking and running the show, were aware that the lettuce was wilted and brown. They told me that it's the time of year and that's how it was delivered. I ended up eating a salad without lettuce. That lettuce should not have been served. Next, the 2 pizzas on the bar were cold and very sparsely topped. The lukewarm spaghetti, tomato sauce and garlic bread were the only things edible. The wall at our booth was filthy with spatters and finger prints. It saddens me to say that i will not return and I wouldn't recommend to anyone. The ham sandwich and their buffet were always my favorite. This is my adult son's second bad experience there in recent days. I can't imagine they can survive long unless quality and cleanliness change drastically. read more

I just noticed that Pasquale's only has a 2.7 and I don't understand why it's so low. This pizza place has been there my whole life and I'm glad it's still there after all these years. It has always been consistently good IMO. I've never had any issues with poor service. The atmosphere is not fancy, but I don't think it's expected to be and I for one, don't want it to be fancy. My family and I ate at the Pasquale's pretty frequently at the Anniston location in the '70s. I was in the area during lunch hours and decided to stop in for some old school nostalgia. It didn't happen. The pizza was bland and tasted like nothingness. If I would have chosen to smother the slices in Parmesan cheese and pepper flakes, it might have tasted better. Unfortunately, both shakers were covered with some type of residue. Everyone was nice, and the lunch buffet was only $7.50. today was ALMOST a perfect day, we got there at 4:12 and the buffet started 5:00 The workers were ignorant and forgot to do our order and had the confront them TWICE, the workers were working on others food but not ours ( i understand that but we were there for an HOUR at this point) and we didn't even get our pizza when i looked down at my spaghetti there was a big fat cockroach crawling around on my spaghetti we walked up to the stand and said " there is cock roach in my spaghetti" and we stood there looking at the worker for at least 5 minutes before they got they're boss and gave us a refund and we left and got little Caesars. read more

Pasta selection of spaghetti noodles and elbow noodles. A very sweet tomatoe sauce. Salad bar is very limited. Basic iceberg lettuce with a few toppings. From the talk inside, the sandwich selection is good and tasty. The biggest drawback is the sneez guard over the salad. Looked it it had been true to it's name and overworked. Please clean it. There are four words to quickly describe this place: one of a kind. Their pizza is delicious. A little greasy, but delicious. At their buffet, they have different toppings and dressings for a salad, along with a few different kinds of pizza (such as pepperoni, cheese, and sausage). There is also pasta on the buffet, and little pieces of garlic bread; the greatest garlic bread I've ever eaten. My goodness, the garlic bread is something else. The texture of the bread combined with the amount of garlic and butter are a true treat to the taste buds. Most times I come here, I get a whole plate full to go with the rest of my meal! Going into specifics with their pizza, it's on the thin side, but they are generous with the cheese and sauce. The crust has a bit of a crunch to it. They seem to narrowly cut the slices for their buffet pizza. They were somewhat busy during tonight's visit, but this didn't affect their speed of keeping the buffet stocked and fresh. Our cashier wasn't very vocal, but during past visits, I've interacted with other employees that were much nicer and made me feel valued as a customer. I've been eating here from time to time since I was little, and I've always loved it. Pasquale's will always be one of my #1 favorite pizza places. This was our second time coming here. The first time I ordered the roast beef sandwich and it was pretty good so this last visit, I ordered the same but also an order of garlic bread. The roast beef was very tough, chewy and in small, junked up slices. The entire sandwich was just slopped together. Totally disgusting. The garlic bread was just bread with a swipe of El cheapo margarine. Such a big waste of money getting this mess. Definitely will not return to the place. We visited this weekend for. Band competition and stopped by for a late lunch. Disappointed explains the experience! A restaurant manned by teens and college students maybe, dirty dining room with dirty plates on most tables, dirty chairs and crumbs all over the center of the table. The salad bar was not fresh(wilted brown lettuce) - how can you put out a whole bowl like that? The pasta bar was fair, the dessert pizza was unattractive and no one changed it out and no customers took a slice the whole time we were there. The pizza bar was the only saving grace as they put out a Stromboli with cheese and ham fresh - it was gone in minutes. The pizzas were fair but lacked variety- pepperoni, sausage, cheese... One with mushrooms- as the pans got low they crammed all the remaining pieces onto one pan until all were gone- despite the preparation time...... Sad. read more

A little late night reminiscing on yelp led me to realize I had never left a review. My family and I have eaten here quite a few times. From what my parents say, it used to be better. The last time we went it was good as far as just the plain pizza goes. I'm a pizza lover, and the flavor of their pies is pretty awesome normally. My brother likes pasta and breadsticks from here. The only reason I am giving a 3 is due to the cleanliness and overall upkeep of the place. This is a nice local maw and paw pizza place. The buffet is small but they keep the pizzas rotated. The food was good for the price. The staff was very nice and everyone seemed to be working hard. The only issue I had was that of the 30 tables half of them needed to be bused. The 45 minutes that we were there, some of the same tables didn't get bussed.
