    Cheesy bread
    Lisa M.

Stopped by for lunch for the salad bar. We also ordered cheese bread. While the salad bar was sufficient their dressing choices are not. The bottles are not labeled and when we ask the staff what they were they were not pleasant with their response. The cheese bread came out and was not appealing by sight and the taste was sweet not cheesy. The marinara sauce tasted like ketchup and was not warm. I've ordered the bread before and it was nothing like this and was hot and tasty so I'll chalk it up to an off day for the cook. Salad bar is the only one in town and grateful to have it. I wish they would add more items and salads like tuna, potato and pasta to the bar.

Does anyone see the extra pepperoni I ordered?

Tried it again... this time I requested extra pepperoni and advised the young boy taking my order that I was happy to pay for it regardless of the cost! When the pie arrived I asked him to confirm that this pizza had extra pepperoni and he assured me that it did! Skimpy portions... pass on this place!

I've eaten at this Pasquale's quite a few times but this was my first visit under the current new ownership. There used to be a lot more Pasquale's around but this is one of the few left that I know about. They used to have a great pasta and pizza buffet here but they have decided to end the buffet forever. The pizza is still good here while I was a bit disappointed in my stromboli as I liked the version with red sauce and cheese but they only offered the version with gravy. Their spaghetti and meatballs is still really good and I would say the pasta or pizza are probably the best things being served these days. Overall this place hasn't changed much at all other than not having video games inside anymore so there is a lot of nostalgia in here and it is an enjoyable spot for pizza or pasta. To see across the dining room one has to shield one's eyes with one's hands.... Paint the walls gray, and put some shades on those bright lights! Best to ask for the other dining room which has a much better environment for your eyes and senses. Flatware is the CHEAPEST sold to restaurants, terrible, just like the cheap flatware used by The Loft. Server was friendly for sure but not professional. None of the servers could tell you anything about any of the wines... except for the difference in color! Owners, teach your staff about the wine list! Your servers should know what a Malbec is and that it's from the Mendoza region in the Andes of Argentina, for example. We each had a dish that included a flatiron steak. Sadly our steaks were incredibly tough and chewy. I was able to eat ZERO of it... first bite... chew chew chew until it arrived at its destination, in a paper napkin. Same outcome for bites two and three.... Both ended up in my napkin! The server failed to notice that everything on my plate was gone but the steak appeared untouched! She should have noticed that the other foods were disappearing but the steaks sat appearing untouched on our plates. Green beans, shrimp, pasta dishes all a 10 out of 10! We will go back as overall this is a decent place to eat! However, still waiting on the down town Laurel restaurants to class it up! After all, we are a tourist town (HGTV-Home Town fans) and our guests are here daily from all over the country and world. Train the staff, learn the wines, ditch the cheap flatware, think about adding cloth napkins... and paint the dining room and dim those flood lights!

Served with a horseradish sauce! Than to the gumbo with a dear rich rouge flavor and crab and shrimp (could use more crab and shrimp tho). Red beans and rice I would rate a 6. Seamed to have an off flavors. Not balanced. Drinks were decent. But dessert was the star! the Beignets were so delicate and creamy on the inside, covered in powdered sugar and fried fresh and just right. Heavenly! I highly recommend this place. Understated and welcoming with efficient, friendly service

Evidently there was a cover charge to go in and see a band that was playing in the back. I have run bars, music venues for many years part of venturing onto my other occupation. Let me just throw my two cents out there... First off we were too young ladies trying to get a night cat before hitting the bed. It's not like there's a lot going on in Laurel Mississippi at 9:30 at night on a Saturday night. We went in and saw where the band was gonna be playing in a really nice outdoor seating area . The band had not started playing yet. We were just going to go take a quick look. Honestly, I'll be really wanted was a nightcap. Had I been running this facility? I would have put the covered charge desk at the other end of the bar where the exit to go to the outdoor seating area was. I think they're losing a lot of business from people who really don't have time or care to see the band. It makes sense to me. They have a great little bar that's not being utilized unless you're going to the outdoor seating area to watch the band. May want to rethink this O

I ordered the grilled shrimp basket with new potatoes (small red skin potatoes) and it comes with bread. There were a generous amount of shrimp but not a lot of favor. The potatoes were good with a little spice kick. I was with a group and someone ordered the fried shrimp and they looked really good. This place was hopping at lunch when we were there. I would suggest finding a table first if you're dining in. Enjoy!

There were nice options for seafood - crawfish, crabs, shrimp, catfish, etc., with preparations from fried to boiled. 2 in our party shared the catfish and shrimp platter, and took some home for a late night snack. 1 shared the seafood platter and a pound of boiled crawfish. The staff at the counter assisted us, and were patient with our numerous questions. The seafood platter had a deviled crab, fried catfish, large fried shrimp, boiled shell-on shrimp, corn on the cob, boiled potatoes, fries and the choice of cole slaw or a side salad. It was delicious, and even more yummy as leftovers for brunch late this morning. I wish I could give them 10 stars!!
