Let me start by saying that all of the women I interacted with were very sweet and welcoming, and this review is not a reflection on the personality of my specific tech or any of the other women that work there.
I went by last week for a mani/pedi with CiCi. I ended up being quite disappointed with the quality of the work and the facility's setup for the rather expensive price ($170 w/$20 tip). The facility is in a little house so it feels a little awkward (still a shower in the bathroom, uneven floors, and a poorly set up pedi area). We didn't get off to a great start when CiCi was on her phone for the entire first half of my mani (possibly buying something off FB Marketplace) which I felt was very unprofessional. She also cut my cuticles to the quick several times, even though I mentioned it every time it hurt, it kept happening. I now have several small scabs on my cuticle area on several fingers. I was going to try the builder gel, but it was super painfully hot when it was being cured with the UV light. CiCi said it can be a little "spicy" when it is curing, which I thought was an insulting understatement. After I yanked my hand out from under the light the first time was the first I was warned of the pain! Totally unprofessional not to mention that it can hurt but, honestly, from the research I did online afterwards, it appears that the builder gel hurt like that for one of two reasons: 1) The gel itself is a cheap brand and/or 2) It was applied too thickly. Builder gel should be applied in several thin coats to prevent the extreme exothermic reaction that I experienced, which could have caused major damage to my nail bed! I even mentioned that the layer was super thick when she did the application, but she brushed me off and said that it would be filed down after curing. CiCi ended up taking it off after I experienced the same issue on the other hand and then pivoted to a classic mani instead. The Pedi setup is uncomfortable, to say the least (see picture). The recliners are not elevated, so I had to keep my legs pulled up and tense my thighs to keep my feet in the correct position, which wasn't great. CiCi cut me to the point of bleeding a couple times while doing the cuticles on my toes, just like on the fingers. The steam and massage after the polish was better, but I still had sugar scrub between my toes and lotion all over my feet when she finished, so I had a hard time walking (my feet were sliding around in my flip flops) to the car. Later that night as I was getting ready for bed I noticed that the polish on both of my big toes did not cure correctly and had a matte finish instead of gloss. The polish itself was also patchy on one toe and just not well done. My heels were also not very smooth and look much the same as they did before I went in. My fingernails look ok, but CiCi did not do the undercoat color well and left it streaky, so the more sheer pearl color on top shoes the streaks beneath it in some places. Pash is not worth a try, in my honest opinion, and, although CiCi seems very, very sweet, she did not do a very good job and hurt me several times throughout the process. I was able to go back a few days later to get the toe nail polish corrected on the big toes, and even then she hurt me by pushing super hard into the ends of my toes with her nails while fixing the polish. It's possible the other techs are great for manicures, I can't say, but I definitely would not get a pedi there due to their insufficient and uncomfortable set up and I unfortunately cannot recommend CiCi for any service. read more
