We had an hour layover and wanted something good for lunch. We got the fish meal which comes with COOKED TO ORDER (yes it was piping hot) fried catfish and two sides. The catfish was DELICIOUS. I also got greens, Mac, and cornbread. The cornbread was also delicious especially with the "pot liquor". Mac was pretty good. Great cheese just lacked salt and pepper. I also got the peach cobbler. It wasn't for me. It was made with a pie crust and SUPER sweet. Which isn't my preference. All in all it was a great meal.
This is probably one of the best airport food I've had. The baked chicken was the standout as it is literally fall of the bone with juices and a good amoung of spice. The fried chicken was good for what it is but the ribs was a bit underwhelming, which I'd recommend skipping. It also did take a while for us to get the ribs. The collard greens and yams were I think are a must order. Their mac and cheese was alright. The sweet tea is a great drink to pair with the meal. The price is also pretty reasonable. Service was quite fast so even though the line can be long, it goes by fast.
This is being judged on the "airport food" scale. In the real world this would be 3 stars but it's better than a lot of the food options at the ATL airport so I'm giving it 4. The servers greeted me were polite, and the food was ok. It was breakfast time so I got scrambled eggs with cheese. Nothing special but it held me over until my next destination!
this is 100% one of the best food spots in any airport i've been to - the food was fresh, the customer service was excellent and the price is affordable! i got the tenders with mac n cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy and you can tell it was cooked with a lot of love! the chicken was tender and crispy, the mac was cheesy, and the mashed was creamy and flavorful! you also get a free piece of cornbread and a sauce of your choosing! i definitely wish they had this spot at my home airport!

Paschal's Restaurant is a historic Atlanta soul food landmark famous for its 1947 fried chicken recipe and its pivotal role as a safe meeting place for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and civil rights leaders in the 1960s. So excited to come here! I got the peach cobbler ~$7 and the grilled chicken plate ~$16 and it was delicious. The chicken was a bit salty and the mac and cheese was delicious. Favorite was the corn bread and collard greens by far. The peach cobbler was very juicy and the flavors were amazing. Brought it back to California, couldn't be happier. Service was okay! Very busy. Found Paschals as I was looking for the best peach dessert.

Sides: Top choice - sweet potatoes Just okay - Mac & cheese was decent but the cheese on top was a bit dark for my liking. Greens could have been better flavor wise and could use a little more cooking time as they still had a bit of bite to them. Cornbread was good but could be a bit softer and sweeter, but that's my personal preference. Looking forward to trying their actual restaurant in the city next time.
Really really enjoyed my meal at Paschal's, from the quick and sweet service (complete with an "is that all, sweetheart?") to the delicious fried chicken. I am not a fried chicken kind of gal, but I am a foodie and had googled good places to eat in the Atlanta airport during a long layover, and Paschal's came up as a must-have! It was conveniently in the concourse we were departing from, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a two-piece fried chicken meal (dark meat) with the baked Mac and cheese and candied yams as my sides and I have no regrets. It was all delicious, and I would absolutely get it again. The one item I had any sort of complaint about was the cornbread which was just too dry, but hey, it was included/free! It feels tucked away but there are lots of tables around. When I went there was no line. If you're thinking about it, try it!

It was late so they were out of some things, but I got baked chicken, mac n cheese, okra and cornbread. Everything was pretty tasty. My husband had the ribs and tried them, too. They were okay. They gave large portions, so we took some of our food to go. The service was pretty good but it can be hard to find a seat a busy times. Overall, my husband and I were both happy with our experience here.

It has been a few years and I was excited to be there last night. I walked up and said hi and a cold response and practically an eye roll. I ordered a small mac & cheese to go. She filled the container about a 1/4 full and handed it over. I said thanks, did my payment go thru and got a uh huh. The mac and cheese was meh, the service was not hospitable and I have not been missing out. Plenty of other options. Such a shame ...
3.5 out of 4 overall What keep this from being a 4 or 5 really is $.89 for a teaspoon of cheese for my grits. The cheese didn't melt because the grits were warm . 5/5 for the biscuits checks them out
Every time I pass through the Atlanta airport, Paschal's is an absolute must-stop for me. The food is consistently outstanding--full of flavor, comforting, and truly satisfying every single time. On this visit, I enjoyed baked chicken, mac and cheese, and greens, all perfectly seasoned and delicious. I even placed a second order to take home--baked chicken with rice, green beans, and a piece of catfish à la carte--because it's just that good! What made the experience even more special was the exceptional service. Tasha went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and her warm, attentive attitude truly stood out. A fantastic experience all around--great food, great service, and a guaranteed stop every time I travel through Atlanta. Happy customer--thanks again, Tasha!

Not bad for airport food! I will consider this one of the better fast food stalls at the airport. The chicken was lightly seasoned with a crunch. I'm a big fan of fried okra and the green beans were on point. Also the staff was very friendly and did a great job of managing the crowd while answering everyone questions. Overall the food was good! Not the best soul food but one of the better places in the airport to eat at. read more
Excellent food and service - food served hot and fresh. My drink was cold from the fountain and I added a cold bottled water. The service was fast and I enjoyed the food - it was tasty and the price was very reasonable. The table spaces are close to the food and they are kept clean but he staff working in the airport terminal. ATL is probably my fave airport in the world to travel through - they have it going on better than anywhere else I've traveled. read more

Some of the most divisive Yelp reviews I've ever read are about airport restaurants (others include nail salons and hotels). I honestly have never had any super awful experiences with airport food *knock on wood* and was happy with my experience at Paschal's, which I found while searching for spots to eat at ATL on a recent layover. It's located in a food court area with other options. I got the chicken tender plate with two sides - collard greens and mac and cheese. The price was decent for the amount of food I got. The employees were friendly and it was a super quick transaction which I appreciated. The chicken tenders were hot and fresh, tasty and not dry - a win in my book. The collard greens were very good, seasoned well and tender. The mac and cheese was just okay, not super flavorful. Overall a decent option for food and I'd eat here again. read more
Our cross country travel took us from Portland, Oregon, and through Atlanta, before flying home to North Carolina. We had a 2-hour layover in Atlanta. After the normal bathroom stops, we began our walk to our next gate which was in the same terminal. We came to the center of Terminal B which included a directory of the food options available throughout the various terminals. My wife did a quick Google search as I scrolled through the airport directory. She checked the overall scores since eating at the airport is so hit or miss and usually not a great experience. Ultimately, she suggested Paschal's. We found it easy and it was located in the same terminal where we were. Since it was after 7pm, it was not very busy. We stood back and looked over the menu board behind the counter before approaching to order. My wife chose the three piece baked chicken meal with candied yams and green beans as her sides. I decided on the three fried tenders meal with green beans and mac and cheese for sides. Both meals came with a corn muffin. The young man behind the counter filled our to go containers and we paid. The total was approximately $33 with free fountain water. The green beans were the highlight for me, they were very tasty. The mac and cheese was baked with little flavor. My chicken tenders were crunchy on the outside but very dry on the inside. Thankfully, they gave me two packs of BBQ sauce for dipping. My wife enjoyed her meal more than I did and thought for "airport food " it was better than normal and it hit the spot. Although it satisfied our immediate needs, with so many other options we'll probably try something else next time. read more

On yet another layover in Atlanta, I found myself here looking for something a little different. I ordered the fish meal with green and rice however they were out of the rice. They substituted Mac and cheese batter recommendation so I went with it. The fish was hot and not dried and out cooked well. Surprisingly well for a buffet style serving a style and the mass amounts they push out. The greens were nice and crisp but the Mac and cheese wasn't the best. For airport food on the go Paschal's has to be one of the best in the airport. read more

This is my 2nd time in Georgia for a limited time, and unfortunately I haven't had a chance to eat Southern food the way I wanted! This was a recommendation by a very close friend (hehe) who is from the South, esp since I didn't have time to go to a restaurant. First and foremost, easy to find and close to my gate! Score! Once arrived, menu was easy to order from. I ordered a 3 piece chicken (they didn't have breast so got a thigh) and my sides were collard greens and Mac and cheese. I also got a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. My mom got the St Louis ribs with sauce on the side with corn and Mac and cheese. Both plates had a cornbread muffin. YUM! Let me say-it was all gone! Either we were really hungry or the food was delicious! Well, it was BOTH and I am a believer of this establishment. I hope to try its stand-alone restaurant in Atlanta. The people were friendly and although this was in the airport, it was very convenient and easy esp. if you are craving Southern food! I can't really explain ambience because it is the airport but I'm sure the ambiance in the Atlanta restaurant is cool. The only hard part was the cost. The total was close to $50 for two people but for airport food- this is to be expected. I am able to go to the airport lounges, including the new Centurion lounge and Delta, and we actually did after for free. However, I still am so glad we went to Paschal's which says a lot!!! This was some of the best food I have ever eaten in an airport. Service was very efficient, which is very much appreciated in an airport, of course. There were a lot of meats and sides to choose from, and I liked that there were several vegetable options. I got the baked catfish with collard greens and candied yams; a corn muffin is included. I would probably not choose the candied yams next time, they were so sweet that maybe they could be called "yammed candy". They were delicious, actually, but something more savory would have been more satisfying. I know they are supposed to be sweet but...my expectations were exceeded in that regard. The fish and collard greens were excellent. The meal cost $14.49, which is a great value for an airport meal, or even for a meal elsewhere. There is a dining area nearby, a lovely woman there made sure we had napkins and she took our empty containers away. Honestly this was much better service than most restaurants seem to provide. All 4 of us loved our meals and would be happy to eat here again. read more

Price point is a little expensive but I didn't knock off stars because it's the airport so what do you expect? I ordered the half rack spare ribs with mashed potatos, gravy and collard greens. I also got the fried chicken with Mac and cheese and beans. This was my first time in Atlanta and I wanted to try real southern soul food. If that's what you're looking for Paschal's hits the spot! The chicken leg was extremely juicy and tender. The breast was kind of dry so next time I'd opt for the drumstick and thighs. The spare ribs were just okay but when mixed with their bbq sauce it's a game changer!! I loved the Mac and cheese too. Didn't think the other sides were particularly a standout. I think biggest standout items are the drumstick fried chicken and spare ribs with bbq sauce. I wanted to try a peach cobbler but it was over $6 so I passed. Overall, I would dine at Paschals again but prob the real restaurant and not at the airport for the full experience. read more

Airport soulfood?! Yasssss and it was fresh and actually good! We ordered 2 meals, fried chicken and yams, greens, mac, & fried okra. Everything was pretty good. Hot and tasty. Seevice was fast and pleasant. Their prices aren't sky high surprisingly! My chicken needed some salt, but it's the airport they can't cater to me personally. T and I have eaten at Paschal's in Atlanta many times. Besides the civil rights significance of the restaurant, the food is really good. My husband made a beeline to Paschal's when he spotted it in Hartsfield Airport's food court . I conversely went to the yechy place in the neighboring stall. But enough about me. "How many stars?" I asked T. A whopping five for Paschal's. I piddled along with my 1.5 star meal. (All right! Enough about me.) He compared Paschal's mac and cheese to that which his southern mother made. (My mother's equivalent was lucshen kugel!) His icy cold sweet tea was apparently as good as his grandmother's. (I washed my meal down with tepid water leftover from the flight.). The fried chicken he said, was as good as Paschal's in town. (The vegetables constituting my meal were as good as um ..... Swanson's TV dinner.) So that's a recap of our respective meals. I landed in the familiar Atlanta Airport after over a week overseas, and the first thing I wanted was delicious Southern cuisine in the way only Atlanta can make it. So I did some digging on the best food in the airport, and I found Pascal's. The menu was exactly what I was looking for. Ambiance was normal for a counter service airport, service was also normal, let's get to the food. We got an order of the 1947 Fried Chicken 3 Pieces and a 4 Choice Vegetable Plate, because at places like this, the sides are the true star of the show. Chicken was bomb, of course. Fried crispy crispy and moist and juicy inside. Perfection. The cornbread muffins we got were crumby, but just moist enough to hold together. Good stuff. As for the sides, no complaints. The mac 'n' cheese was ooey gooey, with a nice crisp cheese crust mixed in throughout. Okra was fried just about as well as the chicken was. Very nice mash, green beans, and literally the perfect cole slaw. Chopped nice and fine, just the right amount of sweetness. Overall, I'm so glad I found this place. It's absolutely what I needed after 10 days of Japanese food. Thank you, Pascal. read more

Pros: Service was quick and efficient. Ambiance was an airport cafeteria, but I always love the Atlanta airport. Food was amazing. Just what I needed after a week in Japan. Good Southern food. Cons: No cons. They were out of a certain piece of chicken, but you can negotiate to get a good outcome on your plate. Tips: Get anything. It was all good. But whatever you get, get an addition side board of sides. Sides are always the best. read more

One hour connection home from Orlando, I was at the Atlanta airport during dinner time. I first stopped at the sushi restaurant and no one greeted or helped me. So I went to Terminal B and stumbled upon Paschal's. Located in the corner of a row of restaurants, I was greeted by two friendly ladies. I ordered the 3 dark thigh and 2 drum sticks. The two sides I picked were green beans and collated greens. Everything for $16! The fried chicken was lightly battered, perfectly seasoned, crispy and juicy. I literally inhaled all 3 pieces. I think the lady next to me, eating a salad, thought I was having a seizure because I ate so quickly. The green beans were warm, light and perfectly seasoned. The new batch of collard greens brought out were also perfectly prepared. I really enjoyed my meal and now will be fully happy for the next 4 hours home. Definitely come here and enjoy their fried chicken. It's that delicious! read more
