Over the last year I've gotten acquainted with Parvilla. They have a relationship with one of my bike clubs so we've used the bike store as our place to launch many times. Other times, I've dropped in for special events, bike maintenance or upgrades. They take good care of my baby. Parvilla has a reputable bike mechanic who's also a cycling enthusiast. He's well versed on the latest gadgets & trends if you have time to converse. The store is bright & well maintained. Staff members are polite. They offer more Specialized products (bikes, tires, tubes, & apparel) than most local bike stores that I support and carry other high quality brands like Eliel. I've frequented multiple local bike shops in several states over the past ten years. Parvilla is by far my favorite. A great selection of bikes and equipment, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had several bikes that needed work and struggled to find a shop that would or could get them all in. From the first call the crew at Parvilla was awesome. They had me bring all five bikes in. They checked each one while I was there and gave me straight, honest answers in what I needed and didn't need. The guy helping repeatedly let me know he wasn't trying to have me spend any more than necessary. A few just needed tubes, a couple needed to stay and wait for parts. In the end I had them all up and running for about $120, which was far less than anticipated and not bad considering one needed a new wheel (it was pretty bent up). I am by no means a serious rider but a fitness enthusiast and adventurous. I have been riding on and off for the past two decades and recently decided to start touring on multi day trips through our beautiful country. I thought walking into Parvilla I'd be met by staff highly experienced and excited to discuss upgrades to my Litespeed titanium bike and help enhance my ride. Instead, I was met by staff that were not engaging and when they did it was extremely demeaning. I left my bike there for a deep dive tune up. I picked my bike up and the next day I realized the tire they replaced in the back was significantly thinner than the tire in the front (which I did not have them replace) had I know that the model changed that significantly I would've had both replaced, something I would have expected an experienced bike mechanic to catch. Not only that, but when I went to go for a ride the day after I picked it up my tire was flat. Luckily, I had a spare tube at the house and replaced it. When I went to check for a leak in the old tube I could feel and hear the hissing of the punctured tube. I will be taking my business an hour away just to receive the customer service I deserve. When I pay good money, I expect good service. read more

This is one of the greatest bike shops innthe area. Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I had them assemble my wife's Aventon E bike after being lied to by another bike shop in the college Park MD area. The interaction with the staff was first rate and Ivan and the staff are some great guys. Absolutely terrible customer service today. Very unwelcoming and pretentious owner and employees. I will never shop there and will warn anyone I know to stay away from Stu and the new mechanic they have who is rude and unqualified (I had to take my bike to another shop to fix his poor "tuneup" and he tightened my pedals so hard i couldn't get them off. Worked with Stu earlier today on getting my Pinarello fitted for an upcoming double century - came away extremely impressed. He takes an meticulous data-driven approach to getting each person matched perfectly to their bike. This is made possible by the highly sophisticated body and bike geometry analytics setup at Parvilla, which he took care to describe and explain. Since he was able to switch between the "before" and "after" settings on his rig while I was riding it, I could immediately tell the difference made by the fitting process. The group at parvilla are experienced cyclists. I have been fitted by Stu who is one of the best fitters in the country. He has improved my power along with my comfort on my bike. When cycling's authority on power, Hunter Allen, is fitted and recommends Stu, that tells you that Stu is the real deal and doesn't just have the tools. Service department- fast and knowledgable. I have not had to wait more than a few days. Training- they have group rides in summer and computrainer classes in the winter. I see plenty of women on the ladies ride. Selection of bikes and nutrition is pretty wide. They carry running shoes and wetsuits also. I highly recommend. read more
