Location: Partyworks Blackstone Date: April 22, 2026 Service: Party Supplies This week I went to party works to see what party supplies they had in stock. The supervisor assisted me throughout the store to show me the animals that they had in stock. Their prices are fair. Check out the photos attached to this review. read more

Formerly Party City, I was bummed when I heard they were going under. Not to fret...as our local party supply store, which I think may have been a franchise (don't quote me!), has survived under a new name. I've noticed there are less options as far as catering/plastic food trays, bowls, and serve-ware. But they now have costumes and accessories year-round, and still have everything you'll need for every standard holiday and season. Prices are still pretty decent, and service has always been great. I've always managed to find what I need here, and get in/out with minimal frustration. I'm glad PartyWorks is still here, and recommend them for anyone looking for decorations, costumes, party favors, or other party/holiday themed pieces of flair to make their event extra festive! read more

Extremely bad costumer service I had told the RUDE LADY at check out (think it was the manager) ME: "the Mexican flag being the only thing in the no kings day display with the TRUMP mask and all the American flags and American flag hats is Extremely insensitive" and she said RUDE LADY:"do you need me to explain it to you" RUDE then I said ME:"no im just telling you its racist" she said RUDE LADY:"OK so next time you're not going to come in here acting like that" I said ME:"I'm not allowed to have a complaint and im not allowed to complain to the store???" RUDE LADY:"couldn't answer me" (not to mention I could have been way more rude she was talking to me like she was my mom TF) I said ME:"its racist." Note:mind you this whole time she just keeps going and kept trying to argue with me and after the first time I said it was wrong I had asked if we can just buy are stuff and leave I had asked that multiple times but she counted to argue she said RUDE LADY:" how can I be racist I'm Mexican" I said ME:"you can still be racist and Mexican and I'm not even talking about you I'm saying the store is racist for having them together" she kept dismissing me and saying "people have asked us to put them together" I WONDER WHY BECAUSE THEY WERE BEING RACIST Note: I didn't say that out loud I was shaking and upset that her as a Mexican woman would do that and dismiss my feelings and be so rude. She said RUDE LADY: "you're the only one that said anything was wrong with it" I said ME:"because no one speaks up its California" she said RUDE LADY:"AlL tHeSe yOuNG OnEs wHo HavE tHe mOsT pRivILeGe ArE" (mind you most of the young ones are still living with their parents at 20-30) Note: I will admit I was rude when I was leaving she already was basically holding us hostage with not allowing me to purchase are stuff and trying to argue when I continued to ask multiple times even before it got all hot mind you I didn't yell at all I was upset because again she was continued to be rude knowing this is a big issue in America but I had said ME:"you probably voted for trump" she said "I didn't actually" I said ME:"sure" RUDE LADY:" you know what I dont have to sell you this stuff" me and my boyfriend said "OK" I YELLED ITS RACIST WALKING OUT AND RE-SAID RACIST WHEN SHE TRIED TALKING IDGAF TO HEAR FROM A RACIST STORE MANAGER THANK YOU BYE and we just walked away all the products are low quality (WE JUST NEEDED STUFF FOR THE NO KINGS PROTEST) and expensive not really even a discount store if you count how bad and low the quality it is. IF I COULD LEAVE NO STARS I WOULD!!! read more

Was Party City. Now it's Party Works. Inventory is being sold out and new inventory will be arriving. Super nice employee helped me out and explained the changes. Prices were decent on what I was there for, but they were out of a lot of stuff. Makes sense, can't wait to see the store once it's all Party Works inventory. read more

I love coming here for decorations for my kids birthdays. There is a big selection and variety of decorations for birthdays, baby's showers, holidays and more. The people here are nice and helpful. They have great deals on balloons. They have a huge candy and toy aisle to fill up those party boxes. Sometimes I go to dollar tree for that stuff but party works has a wider selection and better quality toys and treats. read more

My gender reveal was ruined! Was doing a very personal gender reveal for my mom and grandmother! My balloons went flat within an hour and they complained about putting certain confetti decoration inside the balloons. On top of that the young staff were very rude and unprofessional. Was out of my money and had to resort to something else. All I could do was cry instead of being excited. read more

Needed balloons for 2 different graduations. Kindergarten and high school. Ordered online day before to be ready for curb side by 3 pm. Arrived, checked in and waited about 10 minutes. Instead went in to find my balloons NOT ready. When asking associates they said "sorry there was a misunderstanding" and walked away. And when bouquets were made, they didn't even look like the pics online. Very unprofessional. Rude and inconsiderate. Balloons themselves were okay. Halfway deflated by the time I arrived home which was a 25 min drive. Never again! The only good was the smiles on the faces when they did get their balloons. read more

Came here to check out the Halloween stuff! They have a huge assortment of decorative items as well as tons of Halloween costumes for babies all the way up to adults. Along with pet costumes. Tons of candy too! They have their usual party items as well as the last isles are all made up for Halloween! Plus the front isles leading up to the register are a bunch more Halloween stuff! The workers were very nice and easy to talk to. Great store! Highly recommended! read more

The collection and stock that they have there were wonderful as well as the help from the employees.

This review is for a specific event. We asked Party City to do the balloons for my baby shower. My mom was on top of it and had several photos for ideas. It was a cascading theme that was to go over the photo back drop. Cake, check, dessert table, check, tables/chairs, check... balloons from well established company... check??? Two days before the event they called my mom to let her know they would not be able to do the balloons due to the extreme heat. It's July, it's hot in Fresno, is this new? It's like cancelling something in Seattle due to rain. A pregnant hormonal woman such as myself was forced to scramble and find a new company to do the balloons. It was insanity and I was luckily able to find a replacement. However after having this planned months in advance and not offering an alternative or working with me instead of just cancelling was devastating. read more

We came to party city to get decorations for a baby shower. We bought pink balloons that were not blown up yet. A young salesperson assured us that we could come back, show our receipt and get the balloons blown up free of charge. So today we went back today to get them blown up. Angel, the store manager came to resolve our concern after a different salesperson told us that they had had troubles with the young man promising free blow ups when they aren't free. So instead of finding some sort of compromise to atone for his salesperson's promise of free helium, Angel told us WE must have heard wrong and we would either need to pay for the balloons' helium or return the balloons. Why not offer to give us 1/2 of the bag's balloons blown up or 1/2 dozen non-latex helium balloons? Very poor management and marketing. We will never return to Party City and we will spread the word to our friends to not go there. This store is sub-standardly managed, to be sure. read more

I wanted my son's second birthday to be extra special with some dinosaur balloons and was only able to find them here. I decided curbside pick up was the best option for me due to the time crunch I was in. I know sometimes it can take some time to go to the store and wait for them to inflate the balloons, time I didn't have. Fortunately, it all worked out! I placed the order for the balloons the day before and picked them up at exactly the time I asked for with no complications. The balloons were exactly what I wanted, a little smaller then I thought they would be, but still perfect. My son absolutely loved them and played with them most of the night, he was still asking for them at bed time:) I will definitely look to party city for all of my balloon needs in the future , thank you so much :) read more

Imagine paying with cash! I gave the sales associate cash with the exact change as to get three dollars back, did not want coins back! When he opened drawer no dollars just quarters. The manager would not get him dollars for the register so I left with a bunch of quarters! Terrible service! read more

Caeser was extremely helpful! He was able to assist and provide great feedback and service with us getting sets of balloons for a photo shoot! He was very knowledgeable with his products, and very personable! If you go there, we highly suggest you talk to him about any of your needs. read more

I utilize Party City ever month for balloons to make my authorize retail locations look festive for new promotions. The customer service here is phenomenal. Even though I put the workers to work (2 dozen balloons), they do it with a smile and get the balloons done within 10 minutes. Black Friday I had a grand event and needed two dozen balloons. They were quick to get the balloons ready and had me pull up to the front door to assist. Upon putting the balloons in my car, we popped three and two flew away to the heavens. The worker was quick to go back inside and supply 5 more balloons at no additional cost. Wow, very impressed and will definitely continue using this location for supplies, balloons and theme items. read more

Called to see if they had some specific balloons in stock, gave the description, size, and price of balloons as I had already visited another party city and they confirmed they had them. Went in store less than 20 minutes later and stated they didn't have them. That they didn't even sell those type of balloons. Wasted my time driving all the way there. read more

I ordered birthday balloons and the service was horrible. I waited 35 minutes for my order. There was no wait line when I arrived and plenty of staff behind the register. They were joking and laughing the entire time. The worst part is they got my order wrong and did not include the correct number of balloons that I paid for. Will have to find another place to purchase balloons in the future. Horrible service!! read more

I used to like this place as a go-to for all our parties, but the customer service is awful! They were really rude. I signed up for a 15% off coupon while in store, received a text, and presented it. The supervising clerk told me... "the coupon was used before." But I showed him that I just received the text and he sighed and said "I'll allow it just this once." Very rude! I didn't appreciate the lack of respect after I was paying. They really could use customer service skills training. read more

Went in quickly to get candles and was unaware it was close to closing and the man behind the register was extremely rude he kept counting down the mins until closing shouting the time. Be advised I was in the store a total of two min and it still was 10 min until closing. I use to go for all my balloon bouquets but I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I've been to other Party Cities before, and this was was no different. Okay...it was cleaner than the others I've been to. The layout was simple and it was relatively easy to find what you may want. I am pleased they kept up with the holidays and had a fair selection to choose from. If you need plates, napkins, plasticware, balloons or some quick costumes, this place will probably work well for you. For your sake, I hope they have someone doing balloons who is not supposed to be at a register. Waiting 15 minutes in line for 2 people in front of you is just not acceptable. read more

Went to a local mom and pop shop to have balloons I purchased online blown up, and they tried charging me $25 bucks each compared to Party City who charged $6.99! Balloons seem to be expensive in general, but honestly, the clerks here are nice, attentive, they get orders completed on time, and are reasonably priced in comparison to other places around town. The balloons for my baby shower turned out great! Thanks Party City!! read more

I like this store. They have good ideas for bachelorette parties, and cute decorations. They seem over priced for napkins, and plates. I buy these at Party City. I wouldn't go here for Halloween costumes either~ too pricey. read more

I don't give out many of these 5 star reviews but when I do it's because they deserve it. Came in here today looking for a simple suit for a Halloween party and I took care of me and to give me a Veterans discount. They have extremely cute decor for a variety of occasions. I hosted a baby shower in January and ended up purchasing most of the party's decor from this Party City. The big yellow sun and baby blue giraffe balloons we're drop dead cute!!! I purchased the balloons a few days prior to the baby shower which was held on a Saturday. They recommended ordering the balloons at least a couple days ahead of time if your party is on a Saturday, which is their most popular day for balloon pick up. My balloons were blown up and ready to take home right on time as I arrived in the store Saturday morning. In need of plastic plates, cups, napkins, and utensils for your gathering? This is the place to go! They have every color of the rainbow and more in these items and all for a very reasonable price. read more

Came here 2 days for Halloween for some last minute costume needs. I was surprised by how much stuff they still had available. Staff was very helpful & friendly. Like this store better then the one located on west Shaw. read more

I just moved back to Fresno from LA. I went to grab some balloons for a birthday and I was shocked to find the price of Latex balloons were $1.99 each!!! This is rediculous for balloons that will die after 8 hrs. In an LA Party City I frequented regularly (I called immediately to confirm) the price per balloon $1.39. This price is much more reasonable. Please consider reducing your prices Fresno.. there is NO way you should price balloons so high. read more

Wow! Worse service ever you walk in there and it seems like your setting up a funeral and not a party! They need bubbly cheery fun people in there !! There's a young chick with butch hair cut she's rude and the big guy wants to bite your head off ! And the Asian guy seems like he's scared! Party city !!!! Should be a happy cheerful place , not a depressing place you can't even ask questions! read more

Wasn't that busy when I arrived on a Friday afternoon for birthday party decorations. Store had a few other people shopping as well. I got to the register to pay and the person taking care of us was being pulled in all different directions and having to stop taking care of us. He did apologize and he was just doing his job, but I had more errands to run and needed to get going. I did request a few balloons and since I did not see anyone else around I figured they would be inflated fairly quickly. For whatever reason, there were other balloon orders ahead of me which I was not aware of. I don't have a problem with waiting my turn, but would have liked to have known that it would take a bit for my balloons. If I had known there would be a wait, I would have not got them. It was an adult birthday, I was just getting the balloons and party decorations for the kids that would be there. As I was waiting for my balloons to be inflated the person at the register near the helium tanks asked if I needed help. I told him I was considering cancelling my balloon order because I needed to get going. They then call more staff to the front. I believe three other people showed up to help. Where were these people before? I figured the store was just understaffed as many minimum wage retail businesses tend to do. My balloons finally were inflated, but no sense of urgency from any of the staff in anything they were doing. The lines are now getting longer as more people have come into the store and are waiting in line to pay, etc. Great selection in party supplies, decorations, unique mylar baloons, and Halloween costumes/decorations, but slow on customer service and reluctance to call additional staff to help at busy registers. read more

I came here with my mother and a lot of the items were unorganized to find things and customer service was HORRIBLE

Went in minutes before closing. Chava was friendly & so was the rest of the staff. i left a very happy customer. Thank you!

Came in to get some balloons. Kaleb was extremely nice and helpful. He was open about how much each balloon would cost and apologized for ones they were out of. Super impressed with the customer service here even though their selection was slim at the time. read more

The store manager was rude and not helpful. The baby yard sign was missing a washer that fit the sign to the wooden stake. I asked if they had another sign in the back and I was told "no". No one even looked. I asked if I could have a few dollars taken off since I was going to have to fix the sign myself and, I was told "no". The manager said "I don't think it's broken, if will work fine." Then he walked away while I was still trying to talk to him. The cashier said sorry, and I paid for my sign. read more

Called before driving across town to make sure they had the item I was looking for in stock the man who answered told me they did and assured me after driving to that location a Hispanic girl with glasses walked me over to the aisle of where that product should have been when I walked over they were completely out she didn't bother looking in the back I asked to check the other party city locations she walked away my mom walked behind her I finally walk to the front and asked if she called she said (yes everyone is completely out) so I leave decide to call myself called the W Shaw location asked for that same item the girl who answered was very helpful told me they were completely stalked and even placed me on hold to double check the people here at the river park location are so lazy I will never come back here read more

I went there as all the dollar trees are out of helium to order balloons for the party. The lady on the counter was very rude and said I have to come day before the party to order balloons even though the party was in 4 days. She refused to take the order.... never going there again. read more

Came here to get the kids Halloween costumes and this location was alot better than the one on west shaw. It's less crowded and the service was pretty good. Wow what a joke! I came in on a Saturday to get some balloons filled and they were out of helium so instead of saying 'we're out they we're filling balloons with the helium & air mix tanks they sell" FOR THE NORMAL PRICE they took my money. When told I would have to wait 2-4 HOURS for my 6 balloons I I looked over noticed they were using the helium air mix tanks and asked if I could buy one of those tanks and they told me "oh it won't fill your balloons" ....like what?!! So I ask "well if it won't fill my balloons then why are you using them and telling me my balloons will be ready in 2-4 hours?" Dumbfounded they refunded my helium purchase to buy one of these tanks with the utmost attitude. Living in LA and visiting trying to find somewhere that is reliable seemed impossible and when these kids wonder why they never make it out of the sh!* hole that is the Central valley to make something of themselves this is exactly why. Stupidity will never go far. read more
