Staff was pleasant per se, no greeting or assistance other than ringing us up and telling us about an upcoming sale. Can't speak on the consignment process, but I did notice someone picking up her stuff that they chose not to sell for her. ( she left unhappy with the amount they gave her as well as the clothing she took back home) What I did not like were the customers which is no fault of the store, but I did have to remind myself of where I was shopping and just to keep a smile on my face and my tongue bitten so not to say anything. Over all, I'm sure I'll return the next time I'm looking for deals on kids clothes. I will say be ready to spend a good amount of time looking as the racks are pretty tightly stocked and there are lots of things to choose from.

There was a time not too long ago that felt successful, like a win win situation for all parties involved. But at some point prices started to go up and now I can't justify exchanging some of my nicest baby clothes for a used toddler tee shirt priced a dollar or two below its retail value fresh out of the big brand store it came from. Or a pair of used shoes for practically the same price as new. I shop here because I love the concept. I shop here because I love that shopping second hand keeps clothes out of our landfills. And I used to love shopping here because it was affordable... I probably won't stop coming but my shopping selections have become much more slim and I only go on sale days. If you listen closely you can even hear the snickering in the aisles of other moms appalled by the pricing.

It has a different focus than the other sewing and quilting shops in the Fresno area. Mary Kay, the proprietor is a charming and lovely woman Very attentive to detail. The shop is in an old house. It's been converted to the store. Behind the store there is a converted garage where she has a classroom and holds classes. Check out the calendar. The calendar lists sewing days that you can sign up for, and classes with a variety of techniques for many different types of styles and interests of all types of Quilters. Now down to the Fabrics. She has a focus on Lori Holt from Riley, Blake fabric manufacturer, fresh, bright, and pretty. She also carries a number of major lines from Moda, including the collection for a cause, French general, which is sort of a romantic, antique look, and also Andover prints by laundry basket, quilts. These are things that greatly interest me and other shops in town tend to focus more on modern fabrics and modern quilting with a lot of batiks and modern prints. So I'm glad The Quilted Goat is focused on providing a different sort of inventory. In addition, The Quilted Goat carries a lot of pre-cuts, plus fat quarters if you just want to select a few little pieces to fill out your stash or sample things. She has a whole wall of notions. This is towards the back of the shop. The shop is decorated in kind of a vintage style vibe. Additionally, there are many quilts and samples of sewing on display. One of the quilts, a disappearing nine patch was beautifully displayed, and there is a class coming up on that at the end of January this year 2024 every room has something inspiring, fun, vibrant to get your quilting juices flowing. Mary Kay sends out a newsletter which you can also find on her website. In my opinion, this is the best quilting store in town.

While the price is steep, the excitement of opening them in store and getting our top 2 picks within 3 boxes was an invaluable experience! The owner came by and celebrated alongside us, making it all that much more fun and enjoyable. The day I visited, there was a charm bracelet event going on where people hung out at tables and put together charm bracelets. What a great meetup spot/date spot. I will definitely be back in the future for more surprise finds or maybe a community event.

This place is a quiet browsing spot, you don't really have workers asking you often if you need help, which is great for my fellow introverted people. Parking is pretty crazy though, there's a tiny parking lot on the one way street before getting to the building but since there are other local businesses right next to the store the parking gets pretty full most of the time. Grab a coffee across the street and browse, you can easily blow through 2 hours just looking at everything they have to offer. Since a lot of the goods are imported I would personally say the average cost of something would be around $22, so if you are planning on splurging make sure to save a little bit (or else you'll get torn between choosing what to buy, like I have done before ) The environment is also very communal, having a trinket trading box outside of their storefront (not owned by Sour Milk but heavily appreciated) AND a Sonny Angel/ Smiski trading station, and also vending art created by local Fresno artists! On top of their every-day communal outlets they also are huge contributors for Tower Districts Art Hop and they host local vegan food trucks from time to time.

This was a Friday, so I thought if they were able to do it on Saturday, that would be great. They told me that they would be able to have them delivered that day and would put together a nice bouquet. A couple hours later, they called me to say that my sister wasn't home and if they should just leave them on the bench near the front door. I agreed and was so surprised at how fast they delivered. The lady who helped me (her name escapes me) was kind, cordial and made me feel like it was absolutely no problem -- and it wasn't. She made it happen quickly and I really appreciate it.
