She was very helpful with directions and hints and overall our experience was great there. We were a party of 6 and would definitely go back there! But it wasn't exactly easy either..the good thing is, when you fumble and have brain farts, you can use your walkie talkie to get clues from the staff. When you escape you get to show off and staff takes a picture of you holding up cards of your choice stating "We escaped", "We're Awesome", etc..but we opted out. I'd definitely do it again though! The employee who checked us in didn't give us the backstory at all, which was strange because I've done plenty of escape rooms and the story is always part of the experience. I only knew a bit of it from reading online beforehand. We were also told one of the mechanisms wasn't working, but the explanation was so vague that we didn't really know what to expect. Once inside, the room was very dim. It would've been nice to be given a flashlight, but we ended up having to use our phone flashlights just to see anything. A lot of the props and clues were worn down or dirty, making the letters and numbers hard to read. There was one puzzle that required unlocking something, but the lock already had a key sitting in it. When we moved the item, the key fell out without us realizing, so the lock stayed "locked," and we wasted a lot of time trying to solve something that should've already been open. To make it worse, the broken mechanism they mentioned ended up being something we kept trying to solve because it wasn't clearly explained beforehand. Overall, there were multiple things we were not properly informed about, and several faulty mechanisms that should've been addressed before we entered. This all affected our ability to escape. And on top of that, whenever we asked for a clue, it took them a long time to respond. It honestly didn't feel like they were paying attention or monitoring the room closely. Escape rooms can be so much fun, but this experience was pretty frustrating and could've been handled much better with clearer communication, working props, and more attentive staff.

It wasn't busy while we were there but it was earlier in the afternoon. The waiting is big and it's nicely decorated in a way that fits and adds to the vibe. The room was good and our game master was decent but it little bit too intense. I'll be back if they change out some rooms.

We chose the Antidote room and were able to save the day with time to spare and minimal assistance. However, our Game Master did an excellent job of helping us when we needed and giving us space to figure out things on our own as well. She congratulated us when we exited, which felt great because I thought we were not going to solve the room in time! There's parking in the back and on some residential side streets, and you can sign waivers online beforehand to save time. I highly recommend this place for all your future escape rooms. There was a lot right next door but there are signs saying don't park there. It's on the 2nd floor of the building and it's stairs only. The building was quiet on a Saturday but Epic was pretty busy. The room I did that day was fun and we were able to solve it before time expired. The game masters there are friendly and they play their roles well.

The rooms are clean and well maintained. The puzzles for the most part make sense and were solvable. The room used some technology and everything appeared to work correctly. Room was linear for a lot of it but did have sections where several activities could be completed at once. I'd say it was medium difficulty we asked for one hint and finished with 3 minutes to spare. The lobby area is pretty spacious with comfortable couches, and the rooms were simple but immersive. We purposely chose two of the easier ones (The Antidote and Budapest Express), and both parties were able to escape, despite multi-tasking as parents. The Antidote might have been a bit TOO immersive as the older girls were scared. The staff was attentive with the clue giving & walked us through parts that were known to be difficult. Doors were unlocked the whole time in case young ones needed a potty break in between. It was great to find an activity that we could enjoy for ourselves and with kids! It was also nice being in the Bell Works metrohub that we could make an evening out, exploring shops & eats, and running around the bit spacious place. I plan to come again!
