Unfortunately, that was exactly the experience we encountered. After receiving payment, the musicians left the venue without any communication or explanation. The venue has a strict noise ordinance, which required additional coordination, setup adjustments, and effort in order to proceed with the performance. Despite being aware of these circumstances and after having already been paid, they chose to leave rather than communicate or work through the situation. Their lack of professionalism and communication created unnecessary stress and disappointment for my friend on what was supposed to be a special and memorable day. Clear communication, especially when unexpected challenges arise, is essential when providing services for important events. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend their services. I truly hope they listen to everyone's feedback and do better, no one deserves to be ghosted during any special event, and we do not wish to hinder people who love to work and love what they do. Please do better !! My friends and I support local businesses.

I decided I should probably find a guitar instructor in the area. I couldn't ask for more in a guitar teacher. Jacob is as enthused as it gets. I don't think it's possible to leave a session without being pumped up to go home and start practicing. He's very good at communicating and has a lot of energy. He's super knowledgable about all kinds of genres of music. He's very organized and creates a clear plan for making sure you get the most out of your lessons, practice, and even casual listening. That's not to say he isn't flexible, he definitely is and it's refreshing that he can play all different kinds of music, including metal and post-hardcore punk which I think is kind of hard to find in a lot of instructors. He even emails you all your materials and takes videos for you. If you ever start struggling between sessions you can just text him and he gets back to you fast with a video, text, email, whatever it takes. He really cares about his students. His studio is clean, professional, and enthused. I love it. I've never had trouble parking. You are able to sign up for lessons via his website. He has an easy cancellation policy. In the lead-up, communication was clear and structured. Dan from the office and Kieu made sure we understood what they needed, and the process included multiple emails and a productive Zoom call. This is not a low-cost option, but it's also not just a DJ service. They effectively drive the event. I've been a student with Village Music School for numerous years. Firstly, It's important to note…read morethat every instructor will teach differently from another, and so a student may thrive with one instructor, but not quite as much with another. So far, all of the instructors I've been with--4 or 5 thus far--have been good. As is to be expected, I didn't "click" with some of them, but I still learned and progressed. So if you don't "click" with an instructor, there's always the option of switching. Do give them a fair chance though; I can attest that I feel all of my previous instructors were good teachers, simple each with their own strong suits and personalities. The instructor I'm with as of now is Kyler Svensgaard, and the lessons are very productive and enjoyable. My goals are focused on classical music in piano, and he's been very responsive in helping me progress in this direction. He may bring up specific aspects of my practical playing to improve on or theory applicable to the piece(s) at hand, which I feel is of much value. And, if there's a new piece I'm trying to learn, we're able to readjust our plans accordingly. Lastly, the recitals at Village Music School are a fun way for students to demonstrate their hard work, progress, performance of their favorite songs. Over the years, I've participated in a few of those recitals and have good memories of each of them (despite my moments of stage fright, haha). He showed up early and was set up and ready to roll. He nailed all of my wife's requests and as promised, didn't play any lame wedding songs.
