We ordered a dunk tank . It sat right were they delivered it . The cotter pin was missing not set up right. So we called and asked if they could send someone out to fix it , then shortly after they left the water company came and filled it up from the back side of the tank. Then it sprung leaks out from everywhere in the front as well as , missing strews not to mention that it was filthy and unclean clean . Kelly said it was the guy that delivered water and said it was the delivery guys filled the dunk tank for putting the water in the front. Kelly the owner of party place gave us excuses that it was not delivered that way , well it was delivered that way , and tried to blame us for it being broken and unsafe. Well if someone had gotten in and it burst we would have had serious consequences. Well lost the money for filling the tank and not to mention the disappointment for our carnival. read more

I rented the 12 foot dance floor. The experience was frustrating,and made me angry as the product I received was unsafe. There were not enough screws to hold it togetherand pieces were unusable. Plus there were missing wood pieces in the parquet. I felt like there was no quality control. When I brought up my concerns, I was told it wasn't their fault. It was the customers who had rented the dance floor previously.. Plus, I was told that they did always inspect before they went out, which was totally untrue. I put in an order at the party place and events for my sons upcoming birthday party. I ordered a large tent, 4 farm tables, and 40 chairs. I paid over $700 and was extremely disappointed when they came to deliver the items. The tent was disgusting and filthy and all four of the farm tables were covered in splinters. They looked like they were hand made, and I honestly could've done a better job making them myself. The planks on the table were uneven and honestly looks dangerous. I called Kelly to express my concerns and she said there weren't any splinters on the table and her delivery guys had sent her a video. I offered to send videos and pictures of my own and she declined as she said she was already sent videos by her own delivery guys. She said the best she could do was offer table linens for the tables but said I would still have to pay $12 for each of the linens. For paying over $700, the quality of the items were terrible and not worth my money at all. I had no choice but to keep the items for the party as the party is in 2 days. I will never be renting from them again. Do not waste your time and money renting from here. You're better off renting from rockin rentals. read more

If your having them deliver, have a back up plan and don't count on them to get it right!!!! I had a large order from party place for my wedding. Although the ordering process was smooth the problem came with delivery! I was given a 3-5pm delivery time frame. When I spoke with the woman around 3 when she said they weren't going to be able to set up the dance floor or the cannopy on that scheduled day. At 5 o'clock no one was there. There is no after hours number so I was unable to contact anyone, nor did they call to say they would be late. The delivery truck finally showed up after 8:30 the night of my wedding rehearsal. Not only did I miss my rehearsal while waiting for them but it was delivered in the middle of dinner with my guests. The dance floor was not set up correctly the next day either. The plywood under was visible and dance floor the was not secured to the stakes they put in causing it to slide around. Overall this rental experience just added anxiety to an already stressful time. I would NOT recommend this rental company. All the other rentals I used went off perfectly so there are people in the valley doing it right. read more

I have had to request invoicing almost a month after the rental for something under $50 and had it in my inbox within the hour. I got married outside of GP and this place had the best prices and the friendliest staff. I came with truck and trailer and the guys there were so nice and helped load all the equipment. Everything was there and in great condition (chairs, tables, 20x20 canopy, galvanized bins, arch, soundsystem). I had constant contact with Kelli and she had to change my order like 20 times because weddings are hard to plan and I am crazy and doing it out of state! But she did so everytime and was so sweet about it. Im so glad we chose this place! Thanks again!! read more

I would never recommend Party Place to anyone - I have known this business for years and decided to use them for my daughters wedding at Hanley Farms- they were supposed to deliver to Hanley Farms for us but would only give us a 2 hour window so my daughter had to go wait for 2 hours and they finally showed up at the last minute- I called several times and asked if they could give us a more definite time but the owner Kelly was very rude to both of us when we both asked if they could call us and let us meet them there instead of waiting for 2 hours not knowing when they might show- trust me, don't give them your money or recommend them to anyone - I have never been treated so rudely but I think she felt justified because she already had my money and I felt trapped- I will never make that mistake again and next time I will go give their competition my business- Kelly! You need to learn how to treat your customers and have some manners!!!! Remember Yelp and word of mouth can make or break you! read more

I used Party Place for my wedding. They were very helpful in the process and always got back to me with phone calls and emails within the hour. I found some of the rental prices outrageous particularly for the area, but I could also see that they are a very professional company and didn't want to take any risks. I told them I was going to buy my tablecloths online and they offered to match any linen price I found online. They gave me the same prices on linentablecloths.com. So they can work with you on some of the pricing. The delivery and pick-up was very professional. On arrival 1 champagne glass was broken and the hinge on one chair was not working properly. Afterwards they tried to charge us for the glass and also added $75.00 to our final invoice. When I looked through it I found 2 items on the invoice had been changed 3-4 times the quoted price. I was furious and called them. They immediately took it all off our bill, charged our card back, and apologized saying, "It happens sometimes when returned items are not restocked immediately." I don't know what that means because I've done invoicing and billing for business' and these columns should never be touched. I also noticed their subtotals are completely inaccurate so you will want to get your calculator out after you come back from wedded bliss. In short I think it is ok to use them just check your invoice afterwards to make sure they did not "accidentally" charge you when they "restocked" your rental items. read more

Where do I begin? This was hands down, THEE worst experience and the worst company. Their website was completely misleading. It was a well-done website that made me decide to go with them. Very informative and even great customer service when inquiring about the equipment... until I received the equipment, ON MY WEDDING DAY! Ten long banquet tables looked like they were carried right off the mountain where the firefighters were! Dirty and splintered, straight up hazardous to our guests! The 10 globe lightening we asked for was actually 8, with no phone call to let us know. And it was all piled in a rubber maid bin with. Half the lighting globe hooks were broken so we had to be creative. I was so upset about the equipment and it's lack of care. I called "Kathy" to express my dislike and before I got a word out, I was interrupted with excuses. It was like she had the conversation before. No apology. No understanding. No callback. I will NEVER rent here again and I urge others to look elsewhere. I've come to respect a way of posting on yelp. I talk to the owners first, let them know my thanks or complaint, before writing here. Well I did that here too. Party Place supplied a tent, linens, heaters and table for our wedding. In the process, they continually dropped the ball with promises they made to me around timing, and dropped details from the beginning. They even blamed the warehouse for something, as if I'm supposed to feel for that. It's all your company! When the chairs arrived and were the incorrect style, they took them back and had I think the owner drive out the correct ones. That was great of them. Yet when this fellow arrived, he was more angry than taunted bull-didn't ask how everything was, or look at the site. It was a disappointment to experience the owner of a company so out of it and not caring. -As noted in a previous post, check and then check again the itemized invoices they send. Their system is seriously antiquated and not clear. -After letting a manager know my disappointment, she asked me if I would like the owners to call me to follow up, that was almost 2 weeks ago.*Just found out that the owners got a message about my disatisfaction and have decided not to contact me. Wow, these folks get my worst rating ever for customer service. I had to call back to 'remind' them to send me the totaled copy of our invoice. Too bad their initial response to a minor complaint was to go on the defensive. We rented chairs and paid extra for "clean chairs, without marks" on them. Out of the 50 we rented, maybe 5 were clean. Seats and backs were dirty and smudged and legs were rusty and muddy. We used them in an indoor venue so they all had to be cleaned before we could put them out on a nice floor. Instead of listening to my complaint, the lady went off on numerous excuses why they were dirty. I didn't want excuses, I wanted to be heard. Very poor customer service! read more

We rented many things from Party Place for our wedding. Everything worked out but service was very sub-par. The woman we spoke to on the phone was rude and unhelpful, seemed irritated by our simple questions about the drop off process. The equipment was delivered 2 hours late and the silverware was not clean, so the wedding preparation process was delayed and much of it was spent re-washing silverware before the event. Again, the wedding still worked out perfectly but if I were to plan another event I would try to find another equipment rental company that is more professional and has higher standards for itself. read more

I rented a tent from the party place and had a very negative experience. I had heard horror stories about them before, but unfortunately was forced to use them due to the fact that they were the only company to have a tent as large as I needed. I paid $1800 to rent this tent. The venue I had my wedding at has weddings every weekend and has had tents from Party Place fairly regularly. Apparently the tent was set up differently for my event than usual due to a new crew starting. The grass was wet and muddy and the crew laid out the tent on the grass prior to setting it up, making it filthy dirty. Inside and out it had mud on it. I called the company and politely asked them to come out and clean it the next day before my wedding. They said they would. I then asked them when they were coming out to set up the lights we had paid for for inside the tent. The lady I was talking to said we never paid for them. I asked her to again look at our quote to verify that. She proceeded to argue with me before looking at the quote, even going so far as to literally tell me to STOP TALKING. I was both hurt and appalled that they would treat a customer like that. Unfortunately, they did not clean it very well. We were forced to hang curtains along the walls to cover up the mud. The lights we paid an extra $175 for were small and only along the border of the tent, not even close to the amount of light we needed for my guests to even be able to walk around during the reception. We got other lights and hung them in order to have even slightly adequate light. I could not be more upset with the service I received. I paid almost $2,000 and am so disappointed. read more
