While the puzzles were challenging and had a lot of great potential, most of them malfunctioned in some way that required the employee to explain what was supposed to happen and the employee continually gave us hints without us asking or allowing us to have enough time to try to figure things out ourselves (leading to us finishing in half the time, I think she just wanted us out of there so she could go home). read more

What a fantastic escape room! Well planned out. Not too easy in terms of solving the clues. We did the "Scottish Play." What I really loved about this escape room, is they used three separate rooms and you had unlock certain clues to open up the doors to the next room!!! Sooo cool! The staff was really kind and welcoming. It was easy to book. The price was great. NOTE: for the location off of Siskiyou BLVD, there is parking immediately in front of their building. It was so fun! I wasn't really excited about it, friends booked it but we had a blast. I would recommend it.

I was quite looking forward towards doing the Scottish Play escape room with my daughter, as we plan escapes rooms whenever we travel together. Unfortunately, we arrived to the location 15 min prior to our scheduled time, to a locked door, open sign, and second sign that stated game was in session. We waited 20 min. in the seating area outside, but nobody showed up. We knocked multiple times on the door, and no response. I called their number multiple times, and it only went to voicemail. I left a message, and still have not received a call back (it has been an hour so far). We even walked to their second location to see if we could talk to someone there, and that door was also locked and nobody responded to us knocking. I'm hopeful that they will reach out and make things right for me. If they do, I will update my review. But, for now, they get one star. Update: they called me back. Stated that they normally don't book a 4pm session, and thought we were supposed to arrive at 5pm. When looking at the booking, confirmed that it was at 4pm. She is not sure why the phone didn't ring. They are going to refund me. It is a bummer of the error, but things happen.Raised the review to three stars, as they did the best they could to get us back. Unfortunately, our schedule was packed already. read more

This was my 2nd escape room with 'Escape Ashland' and it was great fun! It was well-balanced (not too easy, not too hard), and they were great at helping us along when needed. The clues and challenges were varied, so we found that everyone could contribute to solving the room. I also really appreciated that both rooms incorporated local history and a local theme. I wouldn't mind doing it again with my nieces and nephews when they visit. I think they would really enjoy it. read more

This place is hard to find so call ahead for directions and you'll be glad you did cuz it's a dang good time! We went as a gang of 7 with two kids (7 and 5). Everyone gets involved and it wasn't scary for our youngest. It was hilarious to be a band of bad desperados (some who need to be broke out of jail at the start) who pinball clues around the room desperately trying to find a way out. The scene is very well staged (1880's themed) and the unfolding of clues is cleverly done. We had a blast! After breaking free we all dressed up like desperados for a picture that still has us laughing. I highly recommend checking it out. read more

My impression is that the management is very invested in providing an experience tailored to the players. That is, they want you to succeed but they also don't want it to be too easy. The result in my family's case was finishing the room with seconds to spare. I can't recommend this place enough. I'll be back the next time I'm in Ashland. read more

This was a really fun experience, and if you like solving puzzles or playing games with friends or family, this is a excellently put together activity. Escape rooms are very popular in Europe and other places, but are fairly new to the US. Whether you are a local or a tourist, getting a group together (I recommend 5-6 people for optimal experience) to partake in Escape Ashland is something memorable, and I love the interactivity of it all. We took two kids and a few skeptical adults to try this Escape room, and everyone had a great time. My very first escape room! We did the saloon room and it was very cool. Finished it with 2 minutes to spare and only asked for a few hints along the way. I really liked that we had the instructor sitting in the room with us as our "bartender" and he provided clues only if we asked, otherwise he was just in character which made it really fun and just added to the whole ambiance of the room. This being my first escape room, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but it was definitely a lot more fun than I had anticipated. Can't wait to try some more! read more

Super fun rooms! We've done each of the rooms each year as they come out. The Audition was awesome, we had a really good time. Lots of fun puzzles. We solved it with 2 people. The Saloon was OK. 3 Stars. - some of the hints were a bit awkward, and the gentleman in the room with us had to give us a few too many hints, which made it feel like the clues weren't that well put together, but maybe it's smoothed out since then. We solved it with 3 people. The Macbeth room had a bunch of fun puzzles, but a few of them were a bit rough around the edges (we were only the 3rd group to try it, I think!) and if the puzzles are tweaked slightly to make them a little more streamlined, the room will be brilliant. We solved it with 3 people. We've had a great time with this group, and we'll keep coming back every year if they keep coming out with escape rooms! read more

Fantastic experience with my boys (11 and 15) on a rainy day. The host / owner, Kerry gave us such a warm (and Covid-safe!) welcome. This was our first escape room so we needed a bit of help with the clues, but it was just the right amount of tips. We loved the Macbeth theme and that there were 4 rooms to work through. Just did their new Ramblin' Rose and what a blast. We took 4 newbies and they all had a blast. We have now done both of their rooms and think they are probably the best ones overall in the state. Newport, Oregon has a great one as well, along with a couple in Portland. But, if i am rating them, Escape Ashland is a great place to start the fun (and addiction) of escape rooms. Super dooper fun a great brain workout and an great plot line and we didn't with some of our non-local family Which made it even more fun over all a great experience I really loved and great for the whole family although if your into scary escape rooms at least at the current time it is not a great time (we did Henry the fifth ) we eve had a nine year old with us and a 85 year old so it is truly fun for all ages and just a great company they were also very kind to us and we even got on the wall of fame see if you can beat our time of 42:30 when hopefully you go and visit something we will always Remember , just lovely read more
