She custom created a thick square black lucite engraved invitation with white writing, white square envelopes and response cards with envelopes. She was able to walk us through every type of arrangement we may need and help us determine what could possibly be repurposed throughout the day in other locations of the venue in order to make the most of our florals. She made suggestions that gave us a lot of confidence in Verbena. Fast forward to our centerpiece sample meeting - oh my gosh. We walked in the office and I was BLOWN AWAY by the arrangement. I had previously sent Marlene 3 totally different inspiration photos of 3 very different things and she was able to not only get my vision but execute it better than I pictured. (To be clear, as someone who wanted white florals, she really understood that I was looking for something classic yet a little unique and the arrangement was just that. Classic, timeless, but unique.) After that meeting, for the next 5 months, Marlene was extremely responsive and helpful. The day of the wedding though was when I was most impressed with the entire Verbena team. All of my ceremony florals were being repurposed for the reception. The Verbena team executed this transition during cocktail hour but you'd genuinely never know that because I didn't see them at all. I'm still wondering how they managed to totally transform 2 spaces without anyone seeing them!! It was incredible. Literal magic. All of the florals were gorgeous. After speaking with others who recommended Platinum Affairs to me, I discovered a day-of-coordinator would be the most important vendor. In all honesty, I don't know what I would have done without Raquel. Even as a strong type A Bride who is extremely organized and prepared, Raquel asked the questions I didn't think of to FULLY prepare for the wedding. After the first meeting, it was like a huge weight was lifted off our shoulders. She brought an incredible sense of calm, professionalism, and organization to our wedding day, exactly what we needed. She also shared her industry knowledge for ideas, recommendations, and proper etiquette. She kept in contact with all our vendors before the wedding, days leading up to the wedding, and the day of the wedding. Raquel truly took the time to learn my husband and I, to fully understand what was important to US on our wedding day. Her preparation ensured all our vendors worked seamlessly together. Raquel managed to be everywhere at once, always a step ahead, always with a smile. She not only managed my vendors, but she also managed those guests that every bride and groom is worried about but obligated to invite (sorry not sorry). We worked with Raquel on our invitations, mirrored seating chart and mirrored welcome sign. Overall Platinum Affairs executed on all assigned tasks and everything came out nicely. However, during the process, we felt like we needed to follow up and stay on top of them. Raquel seemed overwhelmed and maybe a bit burnt out. The Meetings We met with Raquel a few times over the process to finalize details and make payments. She was not pushy and honored our requests. We wanted simple invites, and new the style of mirrors we wanted. Over the course of 6-8 months, each visit she forgot who we were and we had to reintroduce ourselves. It took away from the experience. The Service Our Invites were ordered about 8 months from our wedding date and arrived about 6 months from our wedding date. I was a bit annoyed because our original choice was out of print and we were told this one was in stock and affordable. After making our order and reviewing our proofs, Raquel and her team called to let us know we had to decide immediately on our proofs because the vendor was running low on the card stock and may not be able to print our order. Our mirror and seating chart were ordered at the same time. We had to provide the text, names and fonts about 10 days prior to the event. We actually followed up with them because no one contacted us. Once we were in touch, everything was finalized. One nit to pick, they do not alphabetize the seating charts and you do need to review your proofs. I noticed a few formatting errors when reviewing my own. Card box was just as we asked. No complaints there. Verdict Platinum Affairs was okay. Service was good, but not great. Prices were reasonable.
