I first tried the "fancy" lokum at Lokum in Santa Barbara and have been obsessed with it since, but haven't been able to find any in L.A. So when I saw the case, I had to get some! The gentleman behind the counter was so nice and helpful and described all the different flavors of lokum, and they all sounded yummy, so I got a bit of most of them. I asked if they were made in house and he said there was a place that made them for the shop. He also showed me all the fresh roasted peanuts on the counter and offered me some samples. The lightly salted ones were so good, so I also purchased a small bag of them. They also have a variety of other nuts that I'd like to try in the future, as well as Dubai chocolate - which seems to be popping up at every Mediterranean place I've gone to lately - even restaurants. Once I got home, I tried all the flavors of lokum I purchased and they were all delightful! I'm so glad I stopped by and discovered the goodies at this shop!
