I went in to browse & bought some table covers & a few study plastic containers for wrapping gifts. I went aisle to aisle. One aisle at the front was about 80% bought out. Some items were 10. 20, 30 & up to 60% OFF. Why the 5% OFF? As Zi mentioned on the caption, it won't even cover the tax. Staff were pretty friendly. Came here on 12/3/24 at 10:15 am to order 5 regular balloons and a number "1" balloon. The store had a few customers shopping and there was one person being checked out prior to me. I was was helped by a female who was not wearing a name tag. She rang up my balloons and told me to place the balloons and receipt on the counter next to the helium tank area. She said "there is 1 person before you" I placed the receipt and balloons on the counter & went outside to wait for my balloons in my car. I waited 20 mins in my car and came back in for my order at 10:39am. When I asked if my order was ready I was informed there was 2 people ahead of me and I still had another 20 min wait before my order will be ready. So a total of 40 min wait for 6 balloons ?! This would of been fine if I was informed of a 40 min wait when I was checked out of the register by the "no name tag woman"! When I told the employee with no name tag that she never told me there was a wait time and I wanted a refund she told me "Yes I did ! I said there was a 20 min wait ." I said ... "no you did not . You told the person behind me there was a wait of 15 mins but you never told me ." She responds with " Oh..." OH?!! Ohhhh?!! Come on girl, you chose to work at party city on a Sunday Morning. Learn how to talk to customers and have better customer service skills. This could of been avoided if you gave the proper wait time when I initially purchased the balloons. The girl with the dimple piercings has the worst stuck up attitude she couldn't stop rolling her eyes when we asked for help seeing that all three employees saw us in the line and acted as if we were not there! AI Overview I was ROBBED!!!! No wonder party city is going out of business. Don't buy anything from party city. They are selling products that are not as advertised. I purchased items with understanding all sales final, no refunds, or exchanges, however, I was not allowed to open the packages or try on so I trusted party city was selling complete items as indicated on the package, however I was wrong. My review is based off my online balloon order. I ordered balloons for my son's birthday, and they arrived perfectly. The balloons were properly covered in a plastic bag, every ballon was filled with enough helium (no skimping) and the employees even added different color string to each of the individual balloons, which made them look better than one color string. I appreciate the attention to detail and the care put into preparing my order. My delivery Dasher was awesome as well. I called and spoke to Jen and Yesenia, as I learned they were the two who put my order together this morning - BIG THANKS to them both! I was standing to get a balloon for my son and my daughter had already picked it out and everything, we were right infront of her and she kept pretending she didn't see us. PAY ATTENTION TO ALL THE REVIEWS!!! I've come to this Party Store several times because it's the closest and I've seen it deteriorate each time. I came in today to pick up a few items and decided at the last minute that I wanted a bouquet of balloons. There was no one in line and 2 other customers in store so I didn't feel too bad ordering on day of. I paid than a customer walks behind me and the young man at register says let me handle the customer behind you and I will do your balloons. Ok no problem won't be too long. Well he starts on my balloons and than the phone rings I look back at register and out of nowhere there was 4 ppl in line. I asked him was he the only one there he said that his two other bosses were there but he basically has to do it all up front. I said so they are ok with having customers wait while they are in the back he said I will call them. He calls someone in the back and told them he is doing balloons and that his line is pretty long. After a few no one from the back more customers walked up and line now had about 10 ppl looking somewhat frustrated so he tells me that he is going to knock down the line and come back to my balloons. I'm like wait that's going to take forever and I was here waaay before these other folks so I decided to help this young man out because clearly he was intimidated by these so called 2 bosses and I've worked in retail before and this was unacceptable!! The morning staff at this location is the best, very helpful and friendly ppl. I was scheduled to pick up my balloons at 11 AM. This place is so my last resource although I'm down the street from it I prefer avoiding it, first it's so unorganized!!! As a costumer I hate seeing something on shelves and not seeing a price!! But that's not all, this is the second time I get items and I'm surprised at the register with a complete different price that it's advertised!! (I get it some times clients move items around, but do they move a whole rack ?) in case you didn't know it's call FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!! And as a costumer I do NOT compare the barcodes I don't read the small letters I'm a costumer... I look at the item and the price that is listed above. If you don't know, you need to know that you can order balloons from PC online and have them delivered (either to yourself or to someone else as a gift). I wanted to send balloons to the Ontario area, so I placed my order with this Upland store. And I was nervous... I shouldn't have been worried at all. I called VALERIE on the morning of the delivery and she was very sweet to check all the details, even when I called for a second time. I went last Saturday to get my nephews birthday balloons and I went early, 5 minutes after opening to get in and out fast but the girls working were not attentive to the customers, they were talking and gossiping and they got a pretty good line of customers due to their lack of professionalism and customer service. They ran out of Weights for the balloons so they let me know if I didn't want them to fly way I needed to purchase weights. Pick another location. This one is horrible. I placed an order of items for my son's 6th birthday party, which included balloons (latex and mylar) and a few party supplies. When I placed the order, I selected the day of the party and a time for pick up. I then received an email that the order was ready for pick up a few days before the day of the party. I called the location out of concern that the latex balloons wouldn't last if filled early. I was told that they verified the balloons were not filled, but would be filled on the day of pick up. So the balloons were picked on the day of the party and within a few hours, the latex balloons began to drop. Within a day, they were hovering above the ground. Also, Party City did not provide all of the items that were ordered. By the time I noticed, it was too late. A few days after the party and selected day of pick up, I received an email from Party City indicating that the items they did not give me were ready for pick up. read more

I left the Rancho Cucamonga store disappointed with that store because their customer service was horrible, the store wasn't stocked, merchandise showed in stock online but wasn't on shelves. Called and spoke to Theresa and her customer service was impeccable. Upland store was stocked with multiple Mardi Gras mask and no empty shelves like the Rancho store. The shift manager (1/7/22 @ 3:30) at Rancho needs to take some tips from the Upland Store. Great job Theresa for going above and beyond. read more

I had to come on and give praise to the staff and management at this location. When I've visited in store, staff was helpful and efficient. I've done two deliveries in the past 6 mo or so and each time the staff answered every question I had. On Valentine's Day, they forgot a couple of things in my delivery order. Nothing critical, but nonetheless missing. They went above and beyond in making things right, which made the celebration even more special. Hard to get good customer service like that these days, so I wanted to show my appreciation with a little Yelp love. P.S. Same day delivery service is the best!! Hope that's here to stay. read more

Who would have thought that merely moving a business across a street would improve it so much? This Party City isn't cramped or cluttered. Everything is organized nicely in easily identifiable aisles within the store. Are you just coming in for something seasonal? First aisle (genius right)? They have a great assortment of party favors, games, toys and decorations. Everything you need to put on a great party can be found here. I was a bit bummed to find out that they have absolutely NO Curious George party stuff (as my daughter is currently a HUGE fan), but, if you're kid is into any of the "main" children's characters, there is plenty here for them. Customer service was fast and polite. I checked for a certain mask online before coming to this store. I drove all the way out here to find the mask was not here and I experienced terrible customer service. I approached the employee and showed her my phone and the mask and she was very short with me, said nope never seen it and kept doing what she was doing. She did not even bother to try to assist me in finding it or at least direct me to an isle. Then I asked for her manager and she said she was the manager. I would return again just for the aid in preparing for my brother's birthday party.
