Stopped in again, and the selections have dwindled significantly. I was also frustrated to see how expensive a small piñata is, the smallest is $15 and doesn't hold much. The balloon prices to blow up 2 foil balloons was very high and 3x as much as the balloon. Lastly, only come here if you've got time to kill, or if you ordered ahead. Even if you ordered ahead be prepared to wait 10-15 mins for your order. It's ridiculously slow and 1-2 workers at a time. read more

Needed a child's astronaut costume at the last minute. Nothing on the shelves was what I had in mind. The manager overheard me talking to one of the sales clerks about it and said "we just got some things in today, let me check." Sure enough, an astronaut costume was available fresh off the truck. It would have been easy for them to just leave it at "sorry, maybe next time." I'm pleased they paid attention not just to my question but also to what their new inventory was. read more

My daughter and husband bought these balloons at Party city last night. The confetti is all at the bottom. I called today to ask if they would replace them. The manager said no. The manger said it was my daughter's responsibility to ask for the " Hi Float" to be purchased for inside the balloons to scatter the confetti. The store never offered it. Horrible customer service! I purchased a costume from here that included a hat, and when I got home it wasn't in the package. I called and asked if I could pick out a headpiece or get a partial refund, and the employee said if i came in tomorrow they would find a solution for me. The employee in person told me I couldn't have a partial refund, which I understand because there is probably not a way in the system to do that. However, I had to pay for the new headpiece in addition to the $60 costume, and didn't really get any sort of solution from the store manager. Very frustrating. read more

This past Saturday, I went to Party City to have balloons that I bought elsewhere to have them filled with helium. There were 2 bigger mylar number balloons and 24 regular sized latex balloons. Those along with 7 sand weights cost me $75...just for helium. Was told there'd be a 2-3 hour wait time, so I said I'd come back for a 4:30pm pick up. I arrived a little before 5pm and my entire order of balloons was nowhere to be found. Not only were they not blown up, but they also couldn't find them. The party that these were for was to begin at 6pm. The girls working the helium station were trying to figure out what to do and called their manager, who was somewhere in the store, trying to get him to come up front because i was quite upset, rightfully so. He told us that he could do a refund, but that obviously wasn't helping my party decoration situation. He also just kept making excuses about how busy the day had been. Finally, my order was found, and the manager did jump in to assist the other two gals to fulfill my order. While waiting for the order, we noticed a worker on the phone attempting to find a receipt for someone else's order in a heaping bin of receipts without any sort of organization, literally just digging through receipts that are in a chaotic pile of nonsense. Their lack of organization or processes to take and fulfill customer orders is completely unacceptable. The lack of training that the manager had to handle upset customers, for which the store was completely in the wrong, is unacceptable. There are not many options in Omaha for party stores, but I will be figuring out another solution the next time I need balloons, decorations, etc., because if you don't care enough about my business to apologize and make the issue that you caused right, then I will take my elsewhere. I will add that the two gals who scrambled to look for my order and then fulfilled it once it was found, were very nice and did apologize multiple times, without any excuses tied to the apology. read more

My go to place for balloons and birthday swag but on my most recent September visit, proved not to be a go-to place for balloons? How does Party City ever run out of HELIUM!?! On a positive, the store always seems to be clean. On a negative, always seems to be understaffed. read more

I came in on a Tuesday evening to order balloons to be picked up on a Saturday - everyone was very nice and helped me as soon as I walked in. Raven was incredible and helped me select the right colors and groupings-she helped my frazzled mind come up with a solid plan and I would give Party City my business again. (Btw there has been a helium shortage for over a year now - and they are one of the few places to even have helium.) read more

I parked at the Party City on Center and noticed a lady with a very large balloon order trying to get them into her car. I asked to help her and guided her as she backed out of the parking space. When she drove away I noticed that I did not have my own car keys! I contacted the manager Chris at Party City, I was shopping there anyway. He made several calls and a couple of hours later my car keys were returned. Chris went above and beyond to help me. The store was loaded with customers making and picking up balloon orders, everyone was rushed, but friendly and attentive. Chris runs a great store with wonderful employees! read more

I came here after going to Mangelsens and Nobbies looking for a Halloween costume and was surprised at what a great store this was in comparison! Those stores are bigger and offer more things for crafts however, this store had a great costume selection and it wasn't a disaster like the others. It was easy to find a costume, it was very clean and uncluttered and the prices are great for a good quality costume. There was a good selection of female costumes and they had one of each size, which I was surprised since it was only 2 days before Halloween! I searched everywhere for a female Darth Vader costume and was able to find everything I needed here for only $32! I will definitely be returning here if I need any party supplies in the future! read more

Completely disappointed! Earlier this week I physically went into the store to ask about having balloons inflated with helium - school's logo on balloons which I purchased from school for my son's graduation party. I was told to come back the day of my party and they would be inflated while I waited. I showed up today right when the store opened and was told they had too many orders and would not inflate them. I have shopped this store for years and years for party supplies, but I will NEVER spend another dime in this store! Please consider giving your business to other local party businesses in town! It's kind of sad that there are only 2 locations in Omaha but out of the 2 this is the best location. The staff is pretty good about helping and managing the store. It seems incredibly under staffed though. I came in on a Sunday morning to pick up a balloon order and it was like no one was prepared or knew what was going on. There was not enough staff to help the customers in a timely manner and other people were getting upset and walked out. The store was pretty well organized and had a great selection of Halloween and party supplies. Everything is a little overpriced in my opinion but I guess when it's all there is you go for it. read more

This Party City moved across 132nd St from Bakers Square to the Montclair Shopping Center, which increased their square footage maybe threefold. They now have back the great card section, most cards just a dollar, and anything you will need to throw a party, plus seasonal outfits for any occasion. You could just go in and think of new things to do. This being Christmas season, I got a lot of specialty Christmas cards and bags. But being on a time schedule I didn't go down every aisle to see what extra things were now in this store as compared to the previous location. read more

Completely failed! They sent us home with the wrong color of confetti filled balloon for my daughters gender reveal party. When they were called, we discovered we were not the only ones!!! There were two gender reveal parties that day. One boy, one girl. They mixed them up!!!!!! They offered a coupon for the next visit as if we would even consider using them again!!!!! Not only will that NOT happen, but they are getting this glowing review and I'm telling everyone I know! They also didn't seem very concerned about the mixup. The impression was one that left me thinking there may have even been time for a phone call letting us know about the problem. That call was never made!!! I will happily pay 3 times the price for my party needs in the future before I even consider using Party City ever again. read more

I do not like their "no return" policy after Oct 24th! I purchased a few options of accessories for my daughter on Oct 22nd. I did not see note at the end of my receipt stating their policy. If I had known I was making FINAL purchases (especially at full price), I would have been choosier with my purchase. In addition, nobody told me as checked out. I could understand the policy if items were opened, but they are brand new, never opened. I guess I'll be shopping somewhere else in the future! read more
