I was surprised how clean and well stocked/organized the store was, considering I visited the day before Halloween. I was actually dreading stopping in since I was shopping for a non-Halloween related event and expected it to be mobbed but I didn't have time to order off ol' faithful Amazon prime for my supplies. All of the Party City locations closer to me have closed (RIP West Hartford) so I was glad to have Manchester's store within a 20 minute drive since I desperately needed some platters, pop up disposable garbage bins, and other event essentials. The store wasn't too crowded, given it was a weekday morning, but there were still plenty of last minute Halloween shoppers trying on costumes. The staff member I dealt with was the only annoying part of the experience - she took forever to ring up my merchandise and kept forgetting what she actually rung up. I was in a rush and upon getting home realized that a couple items were on my receipt that she never put in the bag. Come on, you had one job. Luckily they were like a dollar each (plastic tongs) but I needed them and it didn't make sense for me to drive 20 min back to the store. Just a friendly reminder to check your merch and check your receipt - otherwise things get real annoying real fast! read more

Great assortment of party supplies and costumes. Conveniently grouped by color scheme or theme. Some of the items are a bit worn or seem like they have been on the shelves and tried in by a lot of people, so they almost appear to be in "used" condition. The prices are fairly high, so watch for coupons or special sales. I would give it another star if the prices were lower, since most items they stock are things like costumes that you only get to use a couple of times. read more

Ok, I am starting to think this is a Party City thing. This location was eerily empty on a weekday night. The shelves were packed and well-stocked with anything printed with Dora, a super hero, Frozen characters... Let your imagination run wild! Why is it that EVERY TIME I come to this party city, one of the employees is ALWAYS complaining very very loudly about how her boss is a bitch, or they shorted her pay or this gem: the next time somebody asks her where the napkins are she's gonna murk someone? Loudly I mean LOUDLY in the middle of the store! Come on party city stop hiring such trash to run your store! However this place gets an extra star because Michelle at the register is very nice and will have a genuine conversation with you and will help you find something if you need it. Don't bring little kids here just incase the employee who feels it's ok to swear and has no moral dignity is working. I am a dedicated Party City fan. Years ago when they were overhauled by iParty, I almost had a meltdown. So glad they're back. I have yet to need a party supply I could not easily find at Party City. And trust me, I am the queen of needing bizarre supplies. From tiny tasting forks, to photo booth backdrop supplies, Party City has it. They even carry spray glitter year round now, so I don't have to order it by the case, and any kind of glow stick your heart could ever desire. The party lighting is so on point. Their balloon counter has the best selection of helium and mylar balloons that I have found thus far. It's an all around win for anything you need, and all the things along the way that you never even knew you needed (but totally do!). The only reason I could not give a full five stars here is that the ladies at the check-out counter are always gossiping about other coworkers or complaining about customers or breaks. It takes a bit of the dazzle out of party shopping. If that could be remedied, it would get an easy five stars. read more

When I arrived at the store the curbside parking spots were full with empty cars. I had to go into the store wait in a extremely long line only to find out I could have gone to the balloon counter. There were no signs indicating where to go for pickup. To top it all off my order was given to some random person who came in claiming to have ordered a cotton candy machine. They did not identify the person require them to show id or a pickup email. Not only did I have to convince them I had not gotten my order they informed me they had given the random guy my full name. The story I was told was that guy came in looking for the same merchandise. Store staff gave him my first and last name saying that was the only order with that merchandise they had. The man supposedly make a call to confirm that was the name on the order. No due diligence no protection of customer information. read more

OMG I wish I knew how awesome this place was sooner!! I guess I hadn't had much of a reason to come in here, but last week we were in here getting decorations and other party supplies for our New Years Eve party. I felt like a kid in a candy store. It wasn't even the New years decor that impressed me, but just everything they had...plastic drink ware, serve ware, little signs, decor for any occasion under the sun etc. I will definitely become a regular just to check out the fun, random items they carry and definitely stop by before the next holiday/occasion. read more
