What a fun old school shop! I've drove by so many times over the years and finally stopped in today. I previously stopped into a local grocery store to purchase a balloon, but didn't get any service despite being in the department for 10 minutes. I decided to take my business elsewhere and knew I needed to stop into Party Adventure in downtown SCS. Parking is located in the back. I walked in and was immediately greeted by two kind individuals, who let me peruse and admire all the balloons and various party items. I walked out with a large Mylar balloon and a garden flag for $14. Prices were great and I loved being able to support a local spot. Will definitely be making it a habit of stopping in. What do you need pinatas wrapping paper birthday decorations you can wedding decorations be sure to stop here. I rather shop here and support local then go to Party City. Great store for the essentials like balloons, streamers, plates, napkins, banners, etc. I purchased some balloons and they advised that the foil balloons would last 5-7 days, but the ordinary balloons only last a day unless treated. I paid an extra $1.50 for the regular balloon treatment. 3 weeks later all the balloons are still floating high! Thanks Party Adventure! read more

With all the places you can get party supplies these days it's nice to see a mom and pop type store still kicking it and doing a great business! In a frantic wedding rush I needed some items for our candy buffet and Party Adventure saved the day! I've used this store for lots of other events I needed to decorate for and have always found what I was looking for. The prices can be a little high on some items but I'd rather pay the money and know its a locally owned biz as opposed to a big corp. chain. Had to pick up some party supplies for a nephews birthday party a while back. I remember getting a notification on my mobibo app about this place before, and went to check it out. All the typical supplies you would normally need for a kids b-day party! I also noticed stuff for wedding showers, and other types of parties or engagements like that. Service was top notch, as I really didn't know what the heck to get for a kids birthday, so they helped recommend a few things. Paid for my supplies, and I was on my way. Quite painless for saying I would pick something up last minute. If you are throwing a party (and I am sorry I forgot to post this before New Years), I recommend you check them out. As the other reviewers said its local, but it is EXTREMELY expensive. I purchased some Mylar balloons online that no one locally carried. Before going to this location to get it done I called to get a price to have the 5 balloons blown with helium a few days prior. I was quoted $5, which I felt was fare. I didn't expect it to be free. When I get there and I gave the young ladies the balloons there was no mention of the price because hey I assumed that they/we were all on the same page with pricing. By this time 2 of the balloons have been blown up and as I approach the register to pay I then ask ok how much she told me $2. I then told her what I was quoted a few days prior and it wasn't as if I bought the balloons from them and all they needed was helium. I was charged $4 for helium for 2 balloons. I told them to just give me the other 3 balloons back. After I left, I went down the street to another business I happily had them done for FREE go figure. This was very disappointing and its called price gouging. read more
