I've shopped here several times over the years because I believe in supporting local small…read morebusinesses, even though the prices are often higher than big box stores and many items appear to have been sitting on the shelves for a long time with faded packaging. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was very disappointing. I attempted to return unused items that were still in the original bag with the receipt, exactly as purchased, and was told they were considered "unpackaged" and therefore not eligible for return. The products were never used and were in the same condition as when they left the store. The return policy contains so many restrictions and exceptions that it makes customers feel trapped rather than valued. This experience was a reminder of why many consumers choose larger retailers, where return policies are straightforward and customer-friendly. I wanted to continue supporting a local business, but this experience left me frustrated and unlikely to return.

The interior has a casual sports bar feel, with lots of taxidermy and an outdoorsy vibe. I have a bit of mixed reviews on the food. I ordered the barbecue back ribs, but they tasted more like baked ribs than traditional barbecue, which was a little disappointing. The fries were really good and I really liked the variety of options, from waffle fries to sweet potato fries and even mashed potatoes. I was told that the walleye dinner and the chicken sandwich was really good, so it's possible I just didn't order one of their popular dishes. The prices are very reasonable, and since everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals, I would be open to coming back and trying something different.
