I couldn't find a vet that could take him same day to check him out. And, no way of knowing reputable vets in the area. Pet Vet got him in quickly and recommended blood work to start off. His tox levels were good but very high white blood cells which indicated infection, and a slightly distended stomach. Dr Udy (sp?) suspected he ate something bad so she recommended antibiotics, probiotics and fluids, and he hung out there a few hours for observation. I picked him up later, and she came out to talk to me. She, and the whole staff could not have been nicer. She also spent quite a bit of time removing the CRUST from his nose. I didn't know it could even come off, and it was looking terrible. Now it looks "brand new" I appreciated that so much, you have no idea. Now, of I wish the bill could have been cheaper. I was not under any illusion about that. We went home with several medications and he's doing just fine now. I highly recommend Pet Vet. If I lived in Spokane Valley they'd be my vet.

I declined treatment for my animal due to the outrageous cost. Then I called north Spokane veterinary clinic. I told them my dog's symptoms and what the other vet was trying to charge me. They told me there was some other tests and steps to take before we jumped right into putting my dog under and checking him out which was the intention of the other veterinary clinic. They got my dog in immediately at north Spokane veterinary clinic. They did the other tests. They discovered what was wrong with out the expensive coat of putting him under. Here I felt like they cared about me, my dog and not charging me a fortune to help my animal. I recommend this veterinary clinic very highly ! Side note on how I know they treat my animal behind closed doors when I can't see them. My dog lets them trim his nails. He doesn't let people touch his paws unless he knows you or he is comfortable with you because he can clearly sense your intention is to help him. So I knew that he loved them also!

As another reviewer said, the staff truly cares about you and your cat. They're extremely helpful and kind. Not to mention, they're incredibly affordable. I used to go to the VCA for their extended hours of operation. Their prices were ridiculous and going there always felt sterile and cold. You never got the hands on, one-on-one, personal experience that you'll get at the Cat's Meow. They have an in-house kitty who has 3 legs. They told me he was found on the street after a bad attack by another animal, and they took him in and nursed him back to health, which involved his amputation. He's been there ever since. That speaks volumes to the kind of people who work here: true cat people.

Update: I spoke with the breeder and they let me know that the dogs that I met lived in a guardian…read morehome that they worked with. They claimed that the blind dog, Daisy, is blind now due to repeat untreated eye infections that she had and that my dog, Stella, has seizures due to head trauma from being abused. They are going to continue using Gidget (a dog from Stella's previous litter) for breeding for this reason. My vet completely disagrees with their theory and says that my dogs seizures could not be caused from head trauma. She has had several seizures since we adopted her in January, so they diagnosed her with epilepsy, and it is a heartbreaking condition. It isn't ethical or worth it to risk breeding dogs that have a chance of passing on any health condition. There are perfectly healthy dogs that are being euthanized in overcrowded shelters every day. This breeder did sell puppies from this guardian home that severely abused and neglected their dogs, and took zero accountability for doing business with them for any amount of time. Please consider rescuing a dog that needs a good home from a shelter before buying one from a breeder. Any puppy bought from this breeder is coming at the expense of one of the 10+ parent dogs still living on this "farm" that are being used to produce back to back litters. You can find labradoodles/golden doodles in shelters and rescues too.
