I took my 2 cats here this afternoon for possible UTIs. I called this morning to schedule an appointment and was lucky enough to get in the same day! Every staff member I spoke with was kind, understanding, and made me feel so comfortable having my fur babies in their care. My female cat is very skittish and warmed right up to the gentleman vet and lady vet tech. The bill was very reasonable considering they did a urine expression to test for UTIs and provided 4 medications. I was so happy to walk out with meds in hand, knowing these folks care for animals like mine so much. 5/5, will continue going here!" read more

This office has two vets. Dr Jewitt or something like that, and Dr Bastien. I hear good things about the former, not happy with the latter. My experience started during the pandemic and did not improve. I had a puppy with wild diarrhea and getting bad advice from the staff. I now know from fecal testing that Linus had Giardia and was not tested for it. I was told my dog has allergies and I need to find the cause. After running into other unhappy clients of Dr. Bastien's at the dog park, I decided to check an alternative vet. After a fecal test, they found Linus had Giardia in the past. Linus now has a mild heart murmur that he did not have previously, and we currently believe it's from a non grain diet which results in an enlarged heart which can cause a heart murmur. While he had Giardia, grains gave him really bad diarrhea and eliminating the grains improved the poop. The meds I was given for the diarrhea were actually curing the Giardia, but I did not know that. Once the diarrhea went away we stopped the meds. But the parasite was still there and whenever Linus was given a dog biscuit, he got diarrhea again. We had unknowingly finally got rid of the Giardia but were not aware he did not have grain allergies. We have now corrected this. He does not now have diarrhea but we have to go see a cardiologist to see if we can improve the heart function back to 100%. I am optimistic we will be able to do so. So is my vet. My new and permanent vet is Dr Kappas at Spokane Veterinary Clinic. She has been very helpful and has asked what tests, what procedures were given by Dr Bastien to cure the diarrhea, and I told her I am not aware of any. She is also not about to say anything bad about another vet, and I appreciate that. She is just let's take Linus where he is now and make him better. The other vet at All Creatures Veterinary is Dr Jewitt. I hear good things about him, thus the second star. Otherwise this business would only get one from me. read more

The ladies up front are nice and helpful. The people in back are the opposite. The vet was condescending, passive aggressive and just rude. I just needed a prescription refill and I was insulted as was my normal vet. Look I know the patient is the animal but geez their person is just as invested in the care of them. For the price it cost just for an appointment with no problems or procedures required I would of thought he would been happy with a easy appointment. I was so upset when I left I have never appreciated my vet so much. I would not recommend the Dr Bastian to anyone. I have 2 stars for the front staff, they really went the extra mile to help an out of towner. read more

When we first moved here we took our cat in to a different vet for an eye problem. While there she pressured and guilted us into trying to have bloodwork and other tests done for our cat just to check her out. We left being made to feel like we were horrible cat parents. Then we found All Creatures. I found them when I needed to take my guinea pig in. The vet took so much time talking to me and explaining what was going on. What I needed to have done for my guinea pig was several hundred dollars. They didn't make me feel bad if I felt it was just time to put him to sleep. (I had the procedure done.) I've taken my other guinea pig in, and our dog and cat since then. I have nothing but good things to say. We eventually had to have both pigs put to sleep and they were very nice and sent us personalized cards after each one. read more

We took our dog here for vaccinations and check out a couple lumps. At first he seemed like a good old fashioned vet and he was personable enough and allowed us in the exam room, but sent us out when extracting fluid from the lumps. Other vets have always allowed and encouraged us to be there with our pet for shots and minor procedures. So I didn't appreciate not being given the option. We recently got a kitten and each time we have gone in the service has gotten less and less personable. We were not allowed back with our kitten for the shots and deworming. The vet did not even see us when we took him in for these follow up visits and when I said I had a question about some aggressive behaviors at a vaccine appt I was told I would have to make another appt to talk to the vet. Maybe this vet is close to retirement. He just seems grumpy and impersonal. I need to get our kitten neutered, but don't want to take him here where the vet doesn't care to actually see his clients or seem to even like our animals. read more

We have been working with All Creatures for 7 years now. My wife brought our pregnant dog in today to get an x-ray. She was turned away by staff because the allegedly heard her cursing at her last visit. They said take your records and go. I spoke with the manager later and she confirmed that and said that they can refuse service to anyone. They never once asked her if she had any type of medical conditions. I shouldn't have to post this on social media but my wife has a condition covered under ADA. She has tourettes. I shouldn't have to release this information but as of now I have no choice. They were in the wrong and now it's a discrimination issue, which I've already discussed with my attorney. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Especially for their discrimination practices. It's horrible that it has to come to this, but people in power, or think they do, make choices like this. read more

IF YOU VALUE YOUR PET, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. My dog was sick. She had been seen at All Creatures for two years, so we naturally that we took her to a vet that knows her. She was throwing up all day long and we were concerned. They kept her all day long, racked up a bill of over $1,000 for a one day stay. They gave us an OK bill of health and told us to take our dog home. After another day of nothing but my dog vomiting up her food, we took her to the Emergency Clinic on Mission/Ruby. The doctor there told us that our dog was extremely sick and had to repeat the X-Rays that we had already paid for at all creatures. Long story short, this clinic is incapable of caring for your animals short of administering annual shots. They sent our dog home with a clean bill of health without knowing that she would not survive the weekend. Completely incompetent, and not worthy of the title of Veterinary Doctor. After a thorough examination at the Emergency Clinic, by QUALIFIED AND COMPETENT DVM's, our dog is now back home and well. In case you are wondering what was done, and what was missed by All Creatures.... They took X-Rays of our dog and told us that they were NORMAL. Meanwhile, our dog had severe pneumonia and her lungs were full of fluid. Thanks to the people at the Emergency Clinic, we were able to nurse our baby back to health and she is now doing well. To make things even worse, we got a call today by All Creatures threatening to take us to collections for the bill. If you value the health of your pet.... DO NOT TAKE HIM OR HER TO ALL CREATURES. This is a hack veterinary clinic that should have their license to practice revoked. read more

Dr. C. Gordon Jewett, DVM and staff are the most capable loving caregivers of animals I have come across. My cats Rayne and Roxy have received the best care I could ever imagine. They are extremely knowledgeable and take the time to explain any ailments in great detail and follow up with phone calls to manage any after care. I couldn't select 0 stars, or even a half, which is why they're getting 1 full star from me. I chose this clinic when I relocated from another part of the country. The office was clean and the desk staff was friendly and professional (with the exception of the rude and boorish office manager). If you require nothing beyond vaccinations and routine nail trims, this place may be OK. If you need actual veterinary care....avoid this place. I brought a very sick dog in, and she was diagnosed with dehydration and sent home. She continued to regurgitate foam from her nose and mouth, and as I drove her to the emergency clinic, I was assured that her xrays were normal. 3 days and $3000 later, the emergency vet and WSU diagnosed her with pneumonia in both lungs. If she hadn't been brought in for proper care when she was, she would not have survived the weekend. To add insult to injury, I received a very rude and threatening voicemail from the office manager. Apparently, due to a payroll issue (that was out of my control), my payment in full check was returned. The office manager's way of informing me of the situation was to leave a very rude and threatening voicemail. I called back to find out what happened (nothing ever registered on my bank's end). As she picked up the call, she didn't even say "hello" or identify herself before launching into her boorish behavior. I explained that it was due to a mistake in payroll that I am happy to correct immediately. I was then told "it better be here in 10 days or I will turn you over to collections. Cash." Seriously??? I felt like I was speaking to a loan shark! If you truly care about your pets, I would strongly advise you to seek care elsewhere. It made me nauseous to leave my dog there even for the afternoon while I waited for WSU to call back. Like I said, front desk and vet assistants were very friendly and professional. The Dr? Perhaps it's time to retire. And retire the office manager (who I suspect is Dr's wife), too. When you miss a diagnosis this big...and fail to follow up with your "patient"....it's time to "put-down" the practice. read more

So glad my Yelp popped up on my phone ( now that I finally downloaded the app) on our last visit to the vet clinic so that I can do the All Creatures staff some much needed justice. My family and I have taken our pets to Dr. J since the late 90's 3 cats and 2 dogs to be exact. My female dog was ready to chew her tail off and after I couldn't take it anymore we headed to the clinic where she was diagnosed with flea dermatitis. After her first round of meds and a regular upkeep of frontline she never had a problem again. I was truly sadden to see such horrible reviews on here. Our family has never felt slighted by this clinic or that the staff was ill equipped to care for our four legged friends. I have several friends who take their animals to all creatures as well, and never once have I heard a complaint. I am happy that my animals have such great people to take care of their veterinary needs. The staff is great, friendly, very knowledgeable and Dr. J has always has my pets best interest at heart. You couldn't ask for a better group of people! The staff and Dr. Jewett genuinely care about your pet. And you can expect that they will go the extra mile everyday. If it wasn't for them I would have been grieving the loss of my best friend many years before it was due. Now we will have lots more adventures in our future! In our case, we started off at the emergency pet clinic off of Mission and Division. My dog was extremely sick, not eating, vomiting and diarrhea. The clinic kept him overnight on a Sunday and ran so many tests, ultrasounds, biopsies...everything coming up negative. The entire time I was wishing my dog could tell me what was wrong. Noonish on Monday we made it to All Creatures. I won't say that it wasn't a hard couple weeks. But Dr. Jewett and the staff never gave up, they ran additional tests and even consulted with specialists. It took exploratory surgery to finally find the cause...a severe case of IBD. Because of their due diligence and extraordinary compassion, my dog is on the mend and we can look to many more years to come. I can't recommend them enough! read more
