Balloon emergency! Well, that may be overstating it. But I needed balloons for my daughter's birthday morning surprise. They're in a new space than when I was growing up in Eugene, now on the other side of Office Depot in an area that looks like its totally industrial, tucked way in the back corner. For a moment I wondered if it was actually open to the public, but it is indeed. It's not a large space (smaller than the one of days past) but it is chock full of stuff. There is stuff to help you celebrate just about any occasion, from birthdays and anniversaries to graduations and holidays. Napkins, cups, decor, trinkets and favors all can be found here. And I just needed a couple balloons and they had what I needed here. The employee who helped me was friendly. read more

Do not use this company! They called the day before my wedding to tell me NONE of my items will be delivered. After talking and trying to settle on a refund amount, they ghosted me and still, two months later I haven't seen a penny of the money they owe me. Horrible customer care. read more

We rarely complain but this was truly awful. the one star is because she was so pleasant and helpful up till wedding delivery time, when her execution failed horribly, last minute, in both party equipment and floral arrangements. hours late with no call; filthy tables and chairs; one old dirty tent, not guttered at all despite clearly predicted rainy day (hard rain), ultimately failed and FLOODED the CENTER of our only daughter's wedding. Despite my request, more than once, to be very generous for a vey floral wedding (we LOVE flowers and she was told), she arranged them on the spot, last minute, too much "filler", inadequate, and described as rather "chintzy" by several guest. (my dad was a florist by trade). thank goodness our guests and hosts are flexible and good friends who took it in stride the best they could, and made up for Shannon's failed execution. thank goodness the flood didn't happen over our friend of 56 yrs who traveled here for it, terribly disabled and in wheelchair now, sitting approx. 8 feet away. Thank goodness all other vendors, who earned 5 star from us, went way above and beyond, doing all they could to help. The flood drenched the young female caterer who stood on a chair to try to control it. And now Shannon repeatedly responds with a defensive approach, justifying herself while saying she's trying to understand. And yes, I am angry now and made that clear in raised voice and hanging up on her as she kept calling. I don't think there are enough words in the English language to express how much I appreciate Parties To Go! It has been our family tradition to buy our children balloons so that when they wake up the morning of their birthday, the balloons are waiting for them. We have done it since our kids were very, very little. My daughter is a freshman at the University of Oregon and today is her first birthday away from us. I was wracking my brain trying to find one of her friends who had a car and could go to a party store, order the balloons, pay for them, and then drive them back to give to my daughter on her birthday. I came up woefully short. One of the moms on our Facebook parent support page recommended Parties To Go. She said she had ordered from them for her daughter's birthday and it was absolutely perfect. I wish I would have gotten the name of the woman who helped me on the phone because she was fantastic! I explained what I needed, told her what I would like and she told me it would be absolutely no problem. I paid for everything and crossed my fingers that the balloons would arrive on time (I had given them a window of when my daughter would be in her dorm room from class). I got a text that the balloons had been delivered to her dorm and handed to her. Then... I got the best phone call from my daughter! She was on the verge of tears because the one thing she said she thought she would miss on her birthday was her balloons. She said they "were perfect"! One star only because they have things I can't find anywhere else. If you say you'll be open at 10 please be open at 10. Standing at their locked door at 10:15a - place is dark and no one is answering the phone (tried calling twice). Another time I tried to come here and could hear the employees talking in the back but no one would come up and help me. They currently have their store blocked off by tables and they have to come up and be a runner of sorts to get everything you want - not helpful when they don't acknowledge your presence. I had to call, again, and tell them I was there and then they came to help. Very poor customer service. Like they don't even need to be in business so they don't try. Please try! You're the only real party store in this area. read more

We recently ordered a large amount of balloons from them for a birthday party. Every employee I interacted with was rude and seemed annoyed they were having to deal with my order. The girl that rang me up over charged me twice - I caught her mistakes, she would have happily taken the extra $40. When my husband picked up the order it was missing balloons. I called and they offered no apology at all. When he returned to pick them up (a huge inconvenience the day of the party) they didn't say one word to him. They clearly don't care at all about customer service. You can order better quality party supplies online and get your balloons for less money at other stores. I would NEVER trust them with big event rentals. For that I will always work with Destination Events who have always been incredible to work with. I will never work with this store again. You should avoid them at all costs. read more

Not friendly in the store at all. They don't go out of their way to make the customer happy. They seem tired and act like they are being interrupted. Only way to get detailed info is to call or go in to the store. The staff in the warehouse and delivery are nice however in the store they are not. I picked up some equipment the other day late in the evening. No one at the counter so I stood there for approx 2-3 minutes. Looked around the store, came across a person that appeared to be staff. I asked "do you work here?" And was promptly told "well, I'm the only one here right now". ....... Huh? What does that mean? Who cares!! Help me.. gosh! Anyways, I don't recommend this place and surprised they must think they have a monopoly on party supplies. However, I will be shopping elsewhere in the future. read more

Our balloons were deflated by the end of a 3 hour party. Two deflated in the van on our way home. And we paid $5 a balloon. We spent nearly $100. Even worse; when I went to pick up my balloons the woman who took my order the day before said she had never seen me and my order was never placed. She was incredibly rude..crazy rude: She finally found she shoved my order in the back of the drawer and forgot. No apologie, just annoyance she had to do her job. TERRIBLE selection of University of Oregon items. One pathetic tiny section... with basically nothing! This is Eugene - home of the Ducks! Wow! Hello? The service was below par... staff was somewhat attentive but unfriendly and acted as though they didn't want to work - and didn't care about what I wanted to purchase. Apart from the lack of Duck items, the selection is generally lacking, e.g. only a couple colors of feather boas. There is a lot of floor space so... use it! Finally, not a feeling of excitement or positive energy when in store. No energetic music, video playing of events, no liveliness. Banal. Mundane. Won't go again. read more

This review is based on wedding rentals and working with Shannon. This summer we had a wedding for 250 guests and rented water carafes from both parties to go and another local vendor. We rented 60 carafes in total and had to rent a portion of those (about 16) from parties to go. The parties to go carafes were $3/ea, making them $1 more expensive then our other vendor. I was concerned renting carafes from two different vendors and voiced that concern with the staff at parties to go asking "how will the two rental companies note which carafes belong to who?". I was told that as long as the 16 carafes that we're returned we're somewhat identical it wouldn't be an issue and that there was no need to label them (which was what I proposed to mitigate any confusion). Great - one less thing for the bride to stress about so I went on my merry way. Our other rental vendors offered to kindly return the carafes to parties to go after our wedding, saving us one less step of wrap up and, as instructed, they tried to match the carafes as well as they could based on parties to go's instruction. Fast forward a week or so after they were returned and I received a call from Shannon indicating that 7 of the carafes that we're returned did not match. I was totally surprised as not only was i concerned about this initially and told not to worry, but I went back and forth with my other rental vendor to try to delineate what the possible differences could be with the carafes. Shannon continued to follow up to see if I could get her 7 mismatched carafes back. I physically went into my other vendors office to see how I could rectify the issue and was told that this was unusual because the two often rent together and this doesn't happen. But I digress - the point of this review is that I paid ~$48 to rent 16 carafes (which was already $1 overpriced) and was charged, (without final notice from Shannon), **$52 dollars for 7 mismatched carafes that shouldn't have been an issue based on what I was told**. I'm an honest person, if I'd known they were going to have an issue matching them, I would've solved it and labeled the carafes. Furthermore I would've expected them to tell me honestly what their expectations were when I asked initially- them knowing full and well that I was renting from another vendor. Won't be back and won't refer brides there. $52 dollars in their pocket, lifetime customer lost. read more

I am not sure how they stay in business if the treatment we received yesterday is modus operandi or maybe it was just us. We walked in, no one greeted us or asked if there was anything in particular we were looking for (standard procedure in retail i thought), we walked in every isle while they were chatting away as if no one was there...when i finally asked if they had a particular thing i was looking for, i was met with a gaze of boredom and a quick no and continued chatting (i dont know what about) but i got out of there as fast as i can, i suppose my money is not green. The worst place i've been to, hand down, bar none...and if there was anything worse than 1 star i would have clicked on it. Definitely not worth it!!! read more

I was a week out and realized the need for tables & chairs for a UO graduation party. Fearing a busy time of year, Shannon & Amy were super helpful, sent the confirmation right away. Called when we forgot the balloon bouquets. When picking up the balloons, I asked about ice and a cooler and they had a 100 gallon cooler and recommended Costco across the street for ice. Was so excited about the cooler forgot the balloons again. They called again and waited for us after hours to pick up those darn balloons. All in all a great customer service experience. read more

Yesterday I went to the new store on Suzanne Way. Unlike the old store, the new place was dark and uninviting. After walking in circles a few times, I finally found what I was looking for, but the inventory was minimal and I didn't buy anything. I was in the store (lost) for about ten minutes. Not one employee said hello, goodbye, may I help you or anything; I couldn't wait to get out of there. It was nothing like the old store. I probably will not go back. read more

Don't come here, eorst customer service. I came here on 7/1/16 with my mom to get ballons. Found what we needed but could get absolutely no help. I even went up by the "Rental" area were there was people working, but no one came to ask me if I needed help. Seriously don't come here if you need something, you'll leave empty handed. read more

I have been into parties to go a few times for odds and ends for parties. Their inventory at times is limited, or sometimes cant find full sets of a single party set and whatnot (cups, plates and napkins that match). Shelves are VERY messy and chaotic. The store layout does not flow very well. However, some of the workers are very nice and helpful, and i will continue to go to parties to go for my party needs. read more

So we used parties to go to rent table linens for a wedding. We needed 40 tables linens 35 gray and 5 pink. $400.00 Many of the table linens came wrinkled....I guess they were bought from California to fill the order. When I returned the linens after the wedding I spoke with Shanon, I believe she is the store manager. I showed pictures of the linens wrinkled on the tables....she acknowledged she could see the wrinkles and asked me to send pictures. I did send her another picture beside the ones I showed her in the store. She agreed they were wrinkled and said she was going to talk to whomever she needed to and get back to me.....some say silence is golden I say it is bad customer service...have not heard from her for 5 days looks like we won't hear from her.....I guess they do not check, maybe do not care, what goes out of their doors and if it is not good enough..... well they do not deal with that either? What is worse the first offense or the second. Buyer beware look at what you get before accepting it $400. is a bit too much for wrinkles! not worth the hassle to try to help them to lift their standards some people don't get it...mistakes happen by accident but rudeness by choice! read more
