From start to finish, everything was handled with such care, professionalism, and attention to detail--it made our day feel effortless and unforgettable. A huge thank you to Will for his clear, thoughtful communication from the very beginning. He took the time to walk us through every detail, answer all of our questions, and make us feel completely confident in the process. Petr was also incredibly helpful throughout the planning process--so kind, enthusiastic, and genuinely a joy to work with. We especially loved getting to meet both him and Will in person at their incredible food tasting, which made us even more excited (and confident!) about our choices. The food was truly out of this world and deserves a special shoutout. During cocktail hour, guests raved about the hummus and pita, bacon-wrapped dates, arancini balls, and mini beef Wellingtons--each bite was flavorful and perfectly prepared. For dinner, we chose a dual entrée of salmon and pork served with seasonal vegetables and truffle mashed potatoes, and it exceeded every expectation. Multiple guests told us it was some of the best salmon they've ever had. The vegetarian curry cauliflower steak was also absolutely delicious and such a standout dish. We heard over and over again that this was the best wedding food our guests had ever experienced--and as the bride and groom, we completely agree! All of their partnered vendors were excellent and we feel so lucky to have been connected with all of them through Abbey. Mishele's floral arrangements were nothing short of stunning--every piece was beautifully designed and elevated the entire atmosphere of our event. We received so many compliments on the flowers! Renato and everyone at SugarBear Sweet Provisions absolutely blew us away with the cake and cupcakes--they were not only gorgeous but also incredibly delicious. Our guests are still talking about them! Tareq was a joy to work with, and he even brought out his drone to use to capture footage of our special day! We cannot wait to see his wedding video, he is so talented. DJ Brain was incredible!!! His communication was excellent, and he brought so much positive energy to our event, set up our mic stands seamlessly, and got everyone onto the dance floor! My mom said she looked around at one point, and didn't see a single person of the 114 guests sitting down at the tables during the reception. Chuck was truly a standout throughout the entire day. His coordination was flawless, ensuring everything ran seamlessly behind the scenes. We had so many small décor items, and he set up every single detail perfectly--it honestly exceeded anything we could have imagined. At one point, he even found double-sided sticky tape to make sure our candles stood up straight on every table. He went above and beyond in every way--bringing us plates of appetizers during cocktail hour and even surprising us with passionfruit mojitos throughout the night without us having to ask. That level of attentiveness meant so much to us. And finally, the Abbey service staff were exceptional--professional, attentive, and incredibly kind. They made sure our guests were well taken care of and contributed so much to the overall experience. We are beyond grateful to this entire team for making our event so special. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and we felt completely taken care of the entire time. If you are getting married or planning an event in San Diego, do yourself a favor and book this team--you will not find a more talented, organized, and genuinely caring group of people. From the start Will, who signed us up, was most helpful and really knew his information. We clicked instantly and it was such a pleasure to talk with him and meet him in person. We signed up for the tasting before signing with Abbey Catering and that was such a great experience. We got to meet Will in person and there was so much food to try and luckily bring home. After meeting Will we really had a great feeling and signed up within that week. The food was incredible at the tasting, and it was hard choosing which entrée and hours d'oeuvres to choose from since everything was so good. Chuck, our wedding coordinator, was beyond great and so helpful. He was such an asset to have on our side and really made the day go smooth. He was also so friendly and great to work with. We really felt like we made friends with our Abbey team There were absolutely no hiccups whatsoever and I was so calm the whole day. David, our catering lead, was another amazing team member. He was right there to offer us food first and make sure we had enough of our share. The rest of the catering team always made us a priority too and I was very hungry after the ceremony in between pictures so that was so great. We ordered the following for tray passed hors d'oeuvres: petite beef wellington, wild mushroom arancini, bruschetta, and bacon wrapped stuffed dates. We opted for the dual entrée of the boneless short ribs, and the panko-herb crusted chicken with vegetables and the truffle smashed potatoes. All were so good and I wish I could eat them all again Our guests could not stop raving about the food. They even made dietary restriction meals for several of our guests, and they said it was one of the best vegan/vegetarian meals they have ever had. We really were impressed with the food and so glad we went with Abbey as that was important for us to have really good tasting food. We opted for the whole package with their vendors for flowers, DJ, photographer, and cake. Best decision ever!!! We had Emerald and Ivy for the florist and my goodness Mishele, and the Abbey team put together exactly what I pictured in my mind! Such beautiful flowers and we rented bud vases and candles from her. DJ Abel from the Wedding Entertainment Collective was beyond amazing! He played our songs and knew the vibes we were going for. The dance floor was a hit, and our guests were dancing the whole night. Everyone was telling us the DJ was so good! Misha, our photographer, was amazing and made us feel so comfortable. The pictures are so beautiful! The cake and mini cupcakes from Sugar Bears Sweet Provisions were out of this world! I'm so glad we saved our wedding cake because we ate it the next day. Our guests loved the mini cupcakes too and we even had enough to give out at treats and take home. We really are so grateful we decided to go with Abbey catering. They really went above and beyond. When charging these prices, food quality and presentation should be consistent. Unfortunately, this visit fell short, and there was no effort made to resolve the issue. Based on this experience, I won't be returning.

She was open to our thoughts and ideas, and helped us with these seedlings of ideas - to grow into the most perfect, stunning, unique theme - just for our daughter (and one that appealed not not only 30 teenage girls, but the 100 other adults as well). My daughter and I knew the colors we liked, but we didn't have a true vision, and Pat was instrumental in really getting us all on the same page and developing an eye catching and solid theme. We met her, she asked my daughter questions about her interests, and Pat came up with the most fantastic ideas. As a parent, my big concern was "day of." I wanted to enjoy the Bat Mitzvah and not have to come to the hotel to decorate. I wanted to count on someone to do this, meet with the balloon person, flower person, etc, and so I could just show up with my family. PAT did this! She had it all covered, and I trusted her, and when my daughter and I came, all dressed up and came into the room before the guests arrived, we cried! It looked SO amazing, ,it was EVERYTHING we had talked about and MORE!!!! Finally, ,Pat knew that I was on a budget, and when I told her things like, "I'll figure the furniture for a lounge" since I didn't want to pay the high cost she said "ok." She didn't ever try to push me in any direction, she just goes with the client, and works alongside you, if that is your style. I also know if your style is for her to do it ALL she WILL do it all (I have 2 friends that wanted her to do it all and they said she was AMAZING as well). She works SO HARD, she does not forget ONE DETAIL, she is absolutely amazing. This was our 2nd Bat/Bar Mitzvah, and this was the BEST experience we have ever had!!! Honestly, the desserts were just too pretty to eat but they were also delicious. I told her what I had in mind and everything was taken care of. I will most definitely hire her again for any future parties. Everything was professionally done. She even made the sun come out after a week of pouring rain. She and her team are the best!!

I thought hiring someone for day-of or month-of planning would be good enough, but even after creating endless spreadsheets and conducting my own research for venues and vendors in the area, I came up short. Enter, Grecia! Grecia went above and beyond to make my husband Derrick's and my dream wedding come true. From our initial meeting--where I came fully prepared with a moldboard and presentation--Grecia knew just the right way to work with me to assuage any stresses or fears Derrick and I had. She listened to what I envisioned and offered suggestions that made it even better. She's also well-connected to existing vendors in the Valle (floral, photography, DJ, beauty, rentals, videography etc.), and as such, we found and hired the right team for our special day in no time. She ensured we stayed on budget by negotiating with our vendors and always being our advocate. Communication could be tricky with vendors in VDG--I didn't speak English and vendors didn't always respond to follow-ups. But Grecia had the magic touch! It helped that she lived within driving distance to the Valle. And of course, she kept all our contracts and payment due dates in a tidy ledger & followed up with this to make sure we never missed a deadline. Even though she wasn't contractually obligated to help us with our welcome dinner, she did initial reach-outs to restaurants when we had difficulty contacting them. On the day of, everything ran as smooth as it could have. The wedding venue looked STUNNING. I DIY-ed a bunch of different items (macrame, signs, favors, other decorations etc.), and I was so pleased with how Grecia put everything together. My husband and I felt incredibly supported by Grecia throughout the day and could not have asked for more. If you're looking for a wedding planner (especially if it's in VDG!), look no further. I vouch for Grecia 1000%.

She was the best at communicating with vendors, consolidating our vision and incorporating our nontraditional ideas - but she truly outdid herself during our wedding weekend. To start, her walkthrough and direction of the rehearsal addressed all of our concerns. Even my married bridesmaid commented on how well and detailed she conducted the rehearsal, and how she wished she had that level of detail at her wedding! For the actual wedding day, she managed all of our crazy family dynamics, unexpected RSVPs, last minute rentals, she even added a bustle to my dress! Oh, and she did all of this while switching between Spanish and English to address multiple family members:) It was lovely working with her!
