Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and attentive to customers. The steak was cooked just right and was Very good. Maybe a little pricey for the size ( $32 for 12oz rib eye). The fried mushrooms have nice flavor, highly recommended. The chicken fried chicken was dry and not what I expected I was expecting fried chicken not a thin piece of chicken cooked too long. What can you say but this is like the original K Bob's from my childhood it's owned by the Parsons originally started K Bob's in 1966. The food is very traditional. West Texas fare. My wife and I were in town for the Hereford High School 50th class reunion. Yea Class of '68!!! Friday lunch we went to Parson's. We split the 16oz. Ribeye. THE BEST! Ribeye I have put in my mouth in years!!! Have had good but this steak was so tender (11/2" thick) the knife virtually fell through it and the taste was awesome! No sauce. Just some black pepper. Pinto beans as a side. Cooked like my momma would've! Tasty!!! Can't wait to go back to Hereford and my first meal will definitely be here! Guess what I'll order? Salad bar had good selection. Great salad bar very fresh. 4 different soups all looked great. I had the small ribeye it was good. Baked potato was hot. The floors are super clean which I thought kinda odd. Lol. Restrooms spotless that was a shocker as well. The steak was a bit on the expensive side but hey your in Hereford right? I enjoyed it and will return if in the area. Oh hey the desert bar was killer as well. They had apple krisp hot and cookies! 3 different choices. I really like fresh cookies. Overall great place and super clean. read more

The waitstaff has always been great for me. The salad bar is good- have as much as you'd like! Desserts are pretty good. Prices are about average. Usually the entrees are good, and when they haven't been, they gladly fix it without questions! The steaks are decent, and everything fried tastes about the same. This restaurant is popular with locals. That was evident by the way the wait staff greeted the regular customers. The salad bar is incredibly fresh with an excellent variety to choose from and includes homemade soups. They had one person tending this large salad bar continually making sure they never ran out of their selections. I got the steak sub which was hot, fresh, and tasty. The onion rings were not homemade and tasted like what you get from a freezer. I wouldn't recommend ordering onion rings. But there are several sides to choose from. The service was incredibly slow. I was forgotten.....twice! The waitresses are not formally trained and spend too much time chatting with customers instead of tending to details of their job. I would still go back for the salad bar. We have are here over a dozen times, the place is old but the food is great! Stick with the steaks, burgers, grilled chicken and salad bar! You will never go away disappointed. Wow place is not worth 1 star, i had the luncheon porkchop, don't get me wrong i like charcoal flavor but this flavor was old dirty burnt beyond flavor porkchop had no salt no seasoning at all.. My wife is from Hereford and grew up here. We were trying to go somewhere else for Mother's Day and they weren't open yet so settled on this... big big mistake. Our waitress( who let us know she was the backup when they are short on servers and was the owners daughter so hoped she didn't mess our stuff up ‍. So appetizers were ordered by mother in law before we even got in... 45 mins later nothing. All it was, was fried cheese sticks and fried mushrooms. Everything seemed like frozen from Schwanns but not even as decent.So there was a backup on tickets in the kitchen. Got our apps hour later. All ordered fried food and took even longer. Only offered us 20% off. Manager came over and told us same thing the server told us. No help. Horrible experience horrible food horrible service. Never ever will go or recommend to anyone. And I am a foodie and have waited tables. This place was not ok. I try to be unbiased and give stuff a chance, Hell I eat fast food all the time so not everything has to be gourmet but it was $92 for 8 of us after discount and that's 3 kids cheap meals. disappointed - for a while now - went to salad/mega at lunch a couple of months ago both my husband and I got sick. Ordered take out tonight but fish was flavorless, chicken was dry - it is no better than fast food but it takes half an hour - my sliced tomatoes had a sliced worm in them tonight.
