I'm sure Parron Hall has all kinds of "purrty" office furniture, but their customer service is nothing short of ABOMINABLY BAD throughout. I'm sure they will show you some great furniture, but never approach them for service after trying to deal with these folks for simple service over nearly a week.
As they apparently bought the AllSteel Showroom in Poway where I always got complimentary service on my AllSteel #19 Ergonomic Office Chair which has a lifetime warranty, I ended up calling Parron Hall when I needed to have the cylinder (which I already had received from AllSteel). I'm sure they have all very pretty office furniture, just getting them on the phone is impossible. If you get through to a very snotty sounding attendant, you will end up spending a good 15 minutes trying to navigate through the vines of the heavy jungle of their telephone voice menu system set up to avoid any meaningful customer contact. Then you wait for days for them to answer your query.
I ended up dealing with one "Jim Burns" -- the employees would never identify his position within the company -- who told me that I could bring my Allsteel to be repaired, but to simply crank out the old cylinder and install a new cylinder and simply crank it in I would be looking at $25. Total ripoff. The last time the cylinder was installed it was obviously twisted in way too tightly.
Allsteel needs to find a new dealer in San Diego than Parron Hall that doesn't make a monkey out of customer service and overcharges for very simply which should take no more than 5-10 minutes.
Their fancy website is just as bad and really very unintuitive.
I'm intending to notify Allsteel headquarters in Muscatine, IA about my terrible experience with these folks and hopefully they can actually get a way better dealer here in San Diego County that doesn't go out of its way to hate customers. (Out of fun I might contact CBS-TV and their "Undercover Boss" show just so the management of this company gets to see how hard they work to hate their customers. This company may even inspire me to write a satirical short film out of my atrocious experience with them.) read more
