Garry was hired to do removal of hard wood flooring and installation of EVP in a 700 sq ft area. He…read moretold us this would be a 3-4 day job at most. He started the job on a Monday and it still wasn't complete by Sat. We did ask him he hold off on Friday so we could have some painting done. We told him id this would hold him up too much we would wait on the painting. He agreed to holding off on Friday and said I would work all day Sat & Sun to get the job done by Monday. He also requested 1/2 the money be paid since we asked for a day off And we paid. Garry showed up Saturday later than the agreed upon time. He worked for a few hours but made little progress on the instillation. On Sunday Garry didn't show up. He didn't even have the decency to call. He sent my husband and text saying "I'm not coming today, I have to be there for my family". When we asked what time he would arrive Monday, he never replied. On Monday he just arrived to the house around 9:30am with out confirming the time so no one was home. We let him in remotely because at this point we just want the job to be completed. I arrived home about 10:45am to find Garry asleep on the dinning room floor and he reeked horribly of liquor. I had to bang on the walls to wake him up. Once he got up. He said he wasn't sleep and began talking incoherently. Garry began to argue with me. His helper had to step in and correct him because he was mixing the days of the week up. After the dispute. Garry states he would work until 5pm to get the job done. I no longer feel comfortable with being in my home alone so I made some phone calls to rearrange my schedule. As I'm on the phone, Garry throws his tools on the truck and pulls off, nearly running me over. Either me nor my husband have heard from Garry. He walked out on the job because I confronted him about being intoxicate and sleep . Please review pictures.

However, after years of ongoing issues, I feel their experience should be shared. This company completed our kitchen, fireplace built ins, laundry room cabinets, and one of our hall bathrooms. Unfortunately, every project has had some type of quality or workmanship issue. Especially when compared to another bathroom we later had remodeled by a different company, the difference in quality, attention to detail, and overall workmanship was very apparent. The most concerning incident occurred last night when both laundry room wall cabinets failed after the backs separated from the cabinet boxes, causing them to completely fall of the wall. Thankfully no one was hurt, as this happened while we were asleep, but it was very alarming to see cabinetry fail in this manner. While we understand the occasional problems can happen with any project, the fact many issues have occurred across multiple areas of the home over time has left us very disappointed with the overall quality of work and material provided. I take no pleasure in posting a negative review, but after repeated problems and significant frustration, I feel it is important for potential customer to be aware of our experience. From some of the reviews, it appears to be a missed opportunity so where do I begin. I can recall as a junior enlisted service member my senior leadership stated, you are as successful as the subordinates you lead. Remember Top - Down. This reminded to that as I made it through the ranks to take care of my subordinates but it made me reflect on me leading the led. So it pains me to to write this review; that the worse customer service I experienced was from leadership team members of Choice Floors. Such a disregard to implement positive customer relations has significantly tarnished my perception of the company. It was the constant lack of empathy and management's unwillingness to listen that was most frustrating. Every time I tried to express my dissatisfaction, I was talked over and told how I was trying to change the company's policy which I found not only accusatory but offensive. Offensive, as this was an attack of my character and this supervisor has never met me or allowed me an opportunity to express my concerns in regards to what may well been a miscommunication in the payment terms. It felt like my concerns were not being heard or respected. Understanding this is a business, fostering good working relationships to render service for future prospects and productivity quintessential, however, when a member is not in agreeance with an upset customer, gets combative, spend time time spewing judgment while trying to prove them wrong instead of finding resolve and de-escalated the problem sets esprit de corps of the company back as the consumer has lost trust in the company's capability to be trustworthy. But why does it matter, as I was told this is just my opinion by said supervisor. While this may have started as a potentially good experience, the customer care of both the Retail Sales Manager and the Director Internal Operations left such a disdain image for this company that I could not let this lack of professionalism in customer care go unnoticed. It was very unsettling to be going back and forth over the phone with a business professional with such an elevated title. After providing a thorough estimate, they completed the work in just over a week. Everything turned out better than expected, on time, and on budget, even with additional work not previously anticipated. Mr Swinton even offered to replace the dated porch lights with updated ones at no additional cost. He is truly a kind soul- as he helped someone jump their car before he began work on our door. He did an amazing job resizing a standard door to fit a very custom entryway. He was great at communicating different ways he could solve the issue and how much it would cost. He also worked his butt off and is really skilled.
