Echoing the trend of other reviews below, the best word to describe this business is…read moreunprofessional. I had a need to have carpets cleaned for a rental that we were vacating and inquired about pricing. I was greeted by a man who seemed like he would rather be elsewhere. His pricing was in line with others I called (about $120-$150 for 3 rooms). I then asked if they offered a cash discount. He laughed and me. Literally laughed, and said no. I just took my business elsewhere and found a professional cleaner (Covenant Cleaning Service) that was very polite and did NOT laugh when I asked about a cash discount. He kindly offered a price drop when I inquired about it. Save your time, and patience. Go with an actual business. This "business" is a joke.

I would leave 0 stars if the website let me. A very unprofessional company with poor customer…read moreservice and very rude to the customer. Did not leave a receipt after the job to even know they came, and did not VACUUM when CLEANING the carpets. When I called to ask why, the owner's response was "do you not own a vacuum to do it yourself?" Overpriced and a poor job. The carpets did not look any different. Save your money! There was cat and dog hair everywhere and I have had severe allergies ever since, and I was promised they would be thoroughly cleaned when moving into a new house. However, they did not even vacuum or clean the carpets thoroughly and have overpriced fees.

Bottom Line Up Front: My wife and I highly recommend Carpet…read moreand Floors Market for the following reasons: 1. Extremely excellent customer service! Friendly staff, both in store, consultation, and the installers as well. Their upbeat attitude and overall willingness to work with us made the whole process less stressful. This in my opinion is their greatest strength. 2. Excellent pricing. We compared them with others both in the Waldorf area and the "big box" stores and their materials were better in terms of cost and quality. The installation costs were better than others as well and worth every penny. 3. Fantastic quality of work. The crew that came in and installed the flooring were extremely detailed and were very meticulous about putting the furniture and other items back where they found it. 4. They are a local business. We like to buy local to help out our community! Our experience: We first started looking into Carpet and Floors Market back in May close to the beginning of the COVID pandemic and we were looking into having our entire first floor re-done with hardwood laminate. They had just re-opened their brick and mortar store in Waldorf when we contacted them. We looked into them because of all the positive reviews they had, plus the fact that they were a local business and they did not disappoint! Kevin contacted us and was prompt, polite/friendly, and was safe. He measured the whole area masked with booties to make sure to keep my family and himself protected. The quote he had given us was the most reasonable for materials a labor. As I mentioned above, we shopped around and they were the best. We ran into some issues with our bank (completely unrelated to them) and it ended up taking longer for us to schedule Kevin and his crew to begin work. I had emailed Kevin 4 months later asking if the quote he had given us in May was still good. It was, and on top of that, they were still honoring the promotion they had as well (despite the fact that the promotion was long since expired)! The most surprising thing was that Kevin actually still remembered us when we contacted him again. Fast forward to the installation, and the crew that came in worked super quick all while remaining very detailed in the quality of their work. They were slotted to complete the work in 3 days for about 1500 square feet of area. They tackled an awkward pantry, half bath, laundry room, family room, formal and regular dining room, living room, and kitchen all in that timeframe. We didn't even have to move anything as the crew moved and replaced everything when they were done. They took particular care to ensure that our belongings were covered as to not get dusty from the work. We had other contractors come in to fix some electrical and pipe issues at the same time, and the crew was able to work around them without causing any delays! All the trim had nail holes filled and trim around the baseboards sealed to make the quarter-rounds and baseboards look like one seamless piece. Our overall experience with them was so great, we'll be going with them again for our stair and top floor hallway project in the future - no hesitations at all! If you're looking for top quality service and quality detailed work, you'll definitely get your bang for your buck at Carpet and Floors Market.

My experience using Clark's flooring was mixed. What I had originally received a quote for was not…read morewhat ended up being performed after consulting with the person who came out to do the work. On a follow-on job I was misled with regards to the amount of time that the work would take. My original quote entailed sanding and staining a small section of wood flooring beneath the refrigerator followed by a second visit to seal the treated section. When the person came out to do the work they suggested just sealing the wood as an option to protect it, due to the location being beneath the refrigerator and not normally visible - so there would be no sanding, no staining, and no return visit to complete the job when the stain had dried. I agreed to this, which ended up being 10 minutes of work performed putting urethane on a 3x3 foot section of floor. At the time of the visit we spoke about sanding and resealing the wood flooring in the kitchen. I received a quote for this work, which was estimated to be a 4 hour job. When the person came out to do this second job, from the time they arrived, did the work, and were driving away it was less than 30 minutes total. Originally I was quoted $850 to do both jobs, but with the change to the first, doing away with sanding and staining as well as a second visit, and the second job being a fraction of the time estimated, I contacted Clark's to see if the cost of the work should be lower. With barely 45 minutes of work put into the job, even with two trips out, $850 seemed excessive for less than an hour of work. Clark's offered to take $75 off the final bill which was nice, but I still ended up paying $775 for under an hour of labor that entailed less work than originally quoted. I was satisfied with the quality of the work, but very disappointed with the cost. I was disappointed that the first job could be pared down so much, and entail such a lesser amount of work and travel, yet see very little reduction in the bill. I was also very disappointed to be told the second job would take 4 hours when in fact it was about 20 minutes of work.
