This is still one of my favorite wineries! The staff are wonderful, great selection of wines. And nothing in their menu is bad. Even in the winter, they have tented patios with table fire pieces that made it very comfortable. Today for lunch I tried their Mesquite burger. AMAZING! One of the best burgers I've had in a very long time. Since my initial review they have added Cream of Mushroom soup. I have to get it every time I'm there, even if it's to-go. We only came up for drinks. Mine, a delicious glass of Jean Peach wine and cheese curd with a tangy "better than average" dipping sauce. Our service was prompt, the waiters, handsome and friendly. Ambiance, the winery had a lovely view overlooking vineyards, gorgeous farmland,, and mountains in the background. I understand they have an anniversary this summer (August? Don't quote me). Let me preface this review with the fact that I do not drink wine so I can only rely on my wife who says their wine is excellent. However, I can review their food. We started off with the cheese curds and they were excellent. The sauce that came with then was spicy but went great with the curds. I then tried the hot honey chicken strips and they were great too. Perfectly cooked with a lot of flavor. I actually liked the sauce from the cheese curds with them. I am the designated driver and this was one of the few wineries where I could order a glass of Coke. A+ service and food. The view of the valley was beautiful as well. We'll definitely be back and would definitely suggest checking it out. read more

Still one of my absolute favorite wineries in the Treasure Valley. Excellent wine, insanely great food all while enjoying a beautiful view. On a recent visit, we splurged on several goodies. We tried the wine flights which are served in a very unique way, with four actual stemmed wine glasses instead of stemless or taster glasses. I tried the 2019 Petit Verdot, 2018 Ridge Red, 2019 Kenneth Storm (FANTASTIC, had to grab a couple bottles for home), and my favorite, 2019 Syrah. All were great! The Korean Chicken (grilled chicken thigh skewers marinated in Korean barbeque sauce and served with coconut lime rice, $17.95) was out-of-this-world delicious. The flavor was phenomenal, marinated just right. A great combination of sweet and barbeque taste with perfectly prepared rice. The Coconut Shrimp (six breaded coconut shrimp served with coconut lime rice and Korean barbeque and sweet chili dipping sauces, $15.95) was outstanding! Sweet and perfectly fried and the chili sauces were excellent. I could have easily devoured another plate if we hadn't ordered a burger. You can't go wrong with any of their burgers but the best is the Storm's Deluxe (double R ranch burgers, American cheese, shredded Lettuce and Old-School Diner Sauce, $15.95). It's a classic. Served with a their signature, best-of-its-kind Rosemary Garlic Truffle Fries and an amazing Mesquite Aioli, this sando is mouthwatering. I've complained for years about a lack of good restaurants in this area in the western portion of Treasure Valley, but I'm not going to complain any more! The food was excellent, and the service, while not speedy, was friendly and competent. Every employee in the place seemed genuinely glad to see us and acted as if the appreciated our business. The owner, Stephanie, spent quite a bit of time chatting with us and answering questions about their wine club. Very disappointing! We brought out of town guests expecting to show off the food, wine and hospitality of our area. During our long wait for our entrees we ate a baked brie with a few slices of baguette. We were charged an additional $6 for additional slices of bread. Two of the entrees showed up 1/2 hour later than the first two. One Caesar salad never arrived. Two of the entrees were too spicy to be edible. The other two were unremarkable. The server reported our complaints and they comped us one dessert with 4 forks. The server was new and was pleasant and apologetic but the problem seemed to be in the kitchen where we later saw kitchen staff all glued to their cell phones while customers waited. And the cost of this embarrassing lunch for four was $130. read more

Went here for lunch and to do a wine . The seating outdoors was beautiful. Hey here was a really great view of the vineyards while enjoying your wine tasting and lunch. I did the 5 glass wine tasting, which was quite a great deal and the wines I tried were great. I also had a glass of white wine sangria which was nice and fruity and had the perfect amount of sweetness. For lunch I had the pesto chicken sandwich which was extremely yummy. The sand which had the perfect amount of pesto and had great flavor. It also came with a side of garlic fries which were crisp with a soft middle and had great garlic flavor! I also had the blue cheese salad which was super delicious as well. I will definitely be coming here Again n next time I'm in Boise. read more

Had a very nice visit on Thursday afternoon, five of us had a reservation at 1:00. Easy parking but uncertain as to where to go due to lack of signage, that's an easy fix. We were greeted by a lovey lady named Linda. The whole operation is small scale, with challenges that go along with that. Midweek November is understandably a slow time and it's difficult for things to run smoothly at a slow pace. It took a long time to receive our food and things were not as advertised, my friend didn't get the fried artichokes on her pasta & I didn't get what I ordered. The food was good, especially the french fries. I enjoyed the artwork and the wine was good. This place has a lot of potential, it needs fine tuning & some expert advice. I am a bit suspicious that many of the 5 star reviews are from personal friends of the owners. We were not impressed with the food, the wine or the service. The drive there was nice, as was the scenic view from the table we had by the window. We chose the wine tasting. The whites were OK. We both prefer reds of many kinds. I was disappointed with all of them. The food was good. We had the bacon wrapped prawns, garlic fries and salad. It was all above average. The fries were enough for 4 people! The service was a bit lacking, with long, long pauses between visits to the table. We had intended to enjoy a bottle of wine after the sampling but we waited so long, and did not really enjoy the wine we had anyway. Not trying to be too negative, I really enjoyed the scenic drive and the scenic views. It seems as though they are just getting started with the whole restaurant idea as there seemed to be quite a bit of confusion among the staff. The facility is pretty plain as well. We may return in the future, but our expectations will not be near as high as they were upon reading all of the glowing reviews here. Last night, I had the pleasure of dining for the first time at Parma Ridge Winery and Bistro. What a nice find! The setting is gorgeous, looking out overTreasure Valley. We ate in the small dining room, while the majority of guests were seated in the barrel room. Either is fine. I ordered the salmon, which was first lightly smoked, then pan fried and served over lime rice. Delicious! Others dined on the Korean chicken, which was nicely spiced then grilled. For drinks, we enjoyed s bottle of their Merlot, which surprised me at how nice it was since I'm from California near the Shenandoah, Lodi and Clarksburg appellations and didn't expect Snake River wines to be nearly as good. It wMy son and a buddy also enjoyed the Wilder Bench IPA and both said it might be the best IPA they'd ever enjoyed. I'll be back again, soon. You too should try Parma Ridge Winery and Bistro. I recommend you make reservations as it's fairly small. Tonight, we ordered Filet Mignon, a recent menu addition. It was EXCELLENT! I had seen this winery recommended on the Facebook page Friends of Idaho wine and have had it saved forever. Yesterday a friend and I decided to do a ladies day and go wine tasting. I booked the reservations two days before so we could get a spot. They open at noon and I'm glad I booked for when they opened. By the time we left the place was packed. Stephanie the owner was our server and she is truly amazing. Fun, shares all about each wine and just all around made our experience! Their member exclusive wine was my favorite but their other red I tried I liked as well. The flatbreads were some of the best I've ever had. I will be dreaming of that margarita until I can make it there again. Definitely want to go back when the vines are in full for beautiful views. Her brother also brews beer and has about 5 on tap. They do tastings for the beer as well. I've heard their burgers are good as well if flatbreads aren't your jam. Stephanie also sells paintings she creates of the vineyard and her paintings are also the wine labels. And all around very talented family business she runs with her husband. This small, intimate winery/bistro/cafe' blows away the big fancy venues that are found in the Boise downtown area...Chandler's, Ruth's Chris, etc...AND very reasonable on the wallet. I cant speak for the food or the wine of this establishment seeing how I never had a chance to try neither of them. Here is my experience: I was told by a good friend that my husband and I have to try Parma Ridge, the food is great, the wine is great, and they have great craft beers. I was sold! I made reservations 3 days in advance via text message with Stephanie. I explained to Stephanie this was my husbands and I's 3 year wedding anniversary and we would be having our special dinner there. We were very excited not only because of our friends recommendations, but also because the website pictures and Yelp pictures and reviews seemed so promising of a great time, with great service, and great food and drink. Well that's not what happened. Our reservations was for 4 pm on a Sunday. We showed up at 3:45. There was 2 couples ahead of us that were in the process of checking in while we were walking in. We heard the gentleman behind the bar ask the 2 separate couples if they had reservations, to which they both replied "NO". I then checked in, I told the gentleman we had a 4 o'clock reservation, he asked my name and that was that. We waited patiently and watched the 2 couples without reservations get seated before us while we waited patiently to be acknowledge. Finally, at 4:02 a waitress came to seat us. She sat us in the very back where there were fold up white plastic tables and fold out chairs. A place where you would be hosting a party of 50 or so. That wasn't such a big deal except for all the hundreds of disgusting flies flying around. I am not over exaggerating, I mean hundreds of flies everywhere. At this point my patience level is running very low. We look at the menu while chasing away flies decide on our beverages. The waitress comes to us 10 minutes after seating us asking us what would like to drink. We place our drink order with her and then she warns us that that there is an hour wait for food because of the amount of walk-ins they have had today. I looked at my husband and laughed, so here goes: BREAK DOWN: 1. Show up 15 minutes early to my reservation to still get treated as walk in 2. Get seated in a disgusting fly infested put together last minute room because the amount of walk ins they had today, while the couple who didn't have reservations were actually seated in the sanitary restaurant 3. Wait 10 minutes just to order our drinks 4. Told it's an hour wait for food because the amount of walk ins they had 5. No acknowledgment of our reservation or our anniversary After we placed our drink order we had time to reflect on the above break down and decided we will not settle for this horrible service and disgusting establishment. We got up and walked to the front where we checked in and told them never mind we were leaving. Neither our waitress or the gentleman who checked us in tried to correct these issues. Mind you we were celebrating our wedding anniversary at what was supposed to be this beautiful winery with great food, drink, and service. This establishment is a joke and has horrible service and is quite frankly unsanitary due to all the flies residing there. I DO NOT recommend this winery unless you want horrible customer service and enjoy flies. read more
