In this review, I'm going to talk about the bar and not its patrons. I really enjoy going to Parliament because it is a unique spot in West Omaha where I always have a good time. There aren't a lot of places out here that have this much ambiance. It truly feels like the designers put a lot of thought into how the place should look and feel. I love how there are different rooms to filter in and out of, each with its own vibe. The bar is large and definitely the focal point of the main room. Plenty of seating. I love the fireplace in the room behind the bar! Adds an element of warmth to a bar, which I haven't seen much. The lighting is perfect, not too dark but not too bright. I like the variety of fabrics, textures, and fixtures that appear in the pub. It transports you somewhere else. I've been to pubs in London and all over the UK, so I can't say it takes you there (which is ironic), but Parliament does have a transformative quality. The prices are a bit high, but they know how to make a cocktail! Best gimlet I've had in Omaha hands down. The guy I was with wasn't sure which beer to order, so they provided him with a taster. Unexpected, and definitely sold the beer. I would say, though, that even when it's not super busy it can be hard to get a drink. The bartenders always look very busy and it is hard to get their attention. I would suggest staffing up a little on weekend nights. read more

Dropped into this place with a large group that we were with the bar was very accommodating to getting us all in with a lot of ease considering the size of our group. The place has a little dance floor surrounded by some leather chairs here and there on the sides and a lot of bar seating surrounding the decently sized bar area. Ordered 2 fireball shots and the bartender was able to get these out to us quite quick, no complaints at all! Didn't realize that Parliament had a location out west, but wouldn't mind at all coming to check this place out again and spend a bit more time looking around the shopping area that this place is in! read more

It's so hit or Miss here‍ Sometimes it's like Moms gone wild crowd( I can admit that may be some of me and my friends ) or complete chaos/drama with people fighting, or you are the only ones there, and that's ok too. This is one of the few places I've been to in Omaha that I like, since I moved from Boston 3 years ago, and being close to where I live has become a regular hangout. There's foosball, a pool table, darts and a jukebox - lots of games to keep you busy, plus a lounge area to lay back and chill/talk, as well as the bar area itself. The bartenders and wait staff are AHMAZING and super nice/friendly, both the guys and the girls who work there. I have seen it a little overcrowded on occasion, but so what - go somewhere else if you're feeling claustrophobic. Most of the time there's between a sprinkling and a mild crowd of people, and that suits me just fine. One of the main reasons I like this place is because its one of the few around thats not a straight up sports bar, with a million tvs everywhere. Its a straight-up bar, that is there to be a bar, that you SHOULD dress nice for (which I don't always cuz I'm a lazy fat-ass), and doesnt serve buffalo wings and stuff on the side. The decor is definitely nice for a bar in the mid-west. The guys come in their usual attires of jeans, tennis shoes and some odd looking winter sweaters. I can't believe it. I didn't know that people actually buy those super discounted sweaters and have the brains (lack there of) to wear them! I thought they only made the sweaters to put them on the mannequins. Yes, it looks real cute for a big boy to wear white penguins and poinsettias. Come on, at age 21, you should not still get your clothing advice from your mom. Well, the drinks at this place were well made and the servers are amazing. I'm sure these ladies used to work at Hooters and realized their real earning potentials and moved up to a real bar. They were definitely great lookers. The lady patrons at this joint were dressed in either crazy Hollywood stripper or the comfort gentle mid-westerner. At least the girls here had the decency to dress up for the night. The other reviewers were correct about the laidies' attitudes here. They should make it easier for the guys to buy them drinks and start up a chat. Suggestion: Maybe the place could use a little bit more room for a dance floor instead of being a true spectator bar with more than just the the servers to look at. Overall, it was an OK experience. We spent a great deal of our night here playing pool and taking over the juke box. The place was pretty dead around 5-7 and didn't pick up until 10pm. Older crowd at the start but turned into a younger, sluttier crowd by 10. That's when we left. Would recommend going here early and enjoying it before it turns a little ghetto. read more

I will say that I want to love Parliament Pub. The decor is great, and I love the idea for the pub. While I did feel that the music was discordant with the pub's theme (British rock stars line the walls, but they played continuous American R&B), I could still have loved it. Even when the waitress was aloof and didn't seem all that interested in us, that was fine. That's not a true knock against a place. But when Parliament Pub promotes their half-price martinis for happy hour, and when the martinis have a prominent part of their menu, I expect the only server in the pub to be able to make one. No such luck. When my friend and I each ordered a different martini, we were met with a worried, confused look and a "I'm not sure how to make those and I'm not even sure if we have the ingredients." Yikes, Parliament Pub. Perhaps a little lax on the training? To the server's credit, she tried to make the martinis to the best of her ability. Given it was perhaps a first try, my friend's was almost undrinkable and it was determined that there weren't enough ingredients for mine. I don't blame the server, but I am frustrated that management would staff their bar with a poorly trained employee, especially when there wasn't back-up and when it was the Friday of a holiday weekend. The interior design of this bar is awesome. It has a large touch screen juke box and pool tables. Its kind of a mixture between a bar and lounge. It was dead the night I went, but on a busy night with a group of friends this place would be fun. All of the staff is really nice as well. read more

Stopped by last night after finishing a great dinner nearby. There were four in our party, two sat at the bar and two stood behind. We had bottled beers, shots and mixed drinks. At first, we were okay with the bar, but then we started seeing bar practices that just aren't okay. 1. An unused shot of Patron was poured back into the Patron bottle. 2. There was an ice scoop in the ice bin, but several times the drink glass (glass) was scooped into the ice bin for ice instead. 3. Liquor bottles were chilled in the ice bin that was being used for drinks. After seeing this, we just had bottled beer. read more

Tried this place one more time early in the week. Sat down, the bartender -- Older guy with a ball cap -- said he would be right with us. He is texting...5 minutes go by, still texting. He finally puts down his phone and grabs a couple glasses off the bar, takes them to their dish sink, goes back to texting. Big wow! Pinnacle gin for a dirty gin martini, $8.25. Bartender accused me of drinking more than I had when I tried to pay my tab. Dirty bar with "yuppie" lighting and prices. Very rude patrons. Almost every song was "played next" on the jukebox by patrons. If you are a woman be wary, too many dirty 30 somethings just trying to get laid. I would recommend the Old Market or Jake's in Benson. If you are looking for a West Omaha bar try Two Fine Irishmen. Still a better joint than this hole with tacky decor. The Parliament tries too hard to be something it is not. read more

I love the Legacy location and used to enjoy frequenting this bar but the service is very poor and is becoming more so it seems. Not to mention the stench. It smells like bleach?? The last visit there we waited at a table for several minutes and never got service. Not even a hello. So I went up to ask the bartender if there was a waitress and she just stood there leaning against the bar and said no, no wait staff today. She did not proceed to ask me what we wanted or anything. This is not the first time we have gotten rotten service, it's happened time and time again but we continue to go because it was the only late night bar in that area of Legacy. Well we walked out this last time and we are hoping something more deserving of this area (or at least better management) will take its place. I'm surprised they've stayed in business as long as they have. Now they have Blatt to compete with. Great atmosphere (other than the smell) but terrible customer service. read more

If you like a place to drink that is dark, decorated, expensive, and has a stench like an Animal House Fraternity then this is the spot! I like the location. It is near a lot of businesses and makes for a great stop for HH or similar gathering. It does smell like stale old beer as if it is in the carpets or couches or something. It is overpriced. I really like this bar, although I never go on the weekends. I typically go there on Wednesday nights, as my girlfriend and I know a few of the bartenders that work that night. They have a nice patio that is out of the sun and a great place to sit and watch people walk from store to store. Went here the other day at 4:30 to meet a friend. Besides the two of us, there were maybe six other people sitting in various spots around the bar. Not busy by any means. It took the bartender nearly 10 minutes to acknowledge me, and finally get me a drink. And apparently the bartender doesn't know how to pour a glass of water because I asked for one three separate times and she never did bring one to me. My wife and I went to this place to get some drinks to finish our date night. The place had other people in it but by no means busy. We waited at the bar for at least 10 minutes waiting to order and we got passed over many times. Even after making eye contact and gesturing to the bartender, we received no service. After a small group of people that just came in came up to the bar and was tended to, my wife and I left because they obviously did not want our service. Please do not go here. To ownership: Since you probably would like to know how your business is perceived by the community and Yelp. My wife, some friends and I have visited your bar at 168th & Center twice. Upon my first visit, I noticed that the customer service from the bartenders was really poor. They are too busy talking amongst themselves and checking their hair/makeup.They completely ignore customers that are attempting to get drinks. All polite attempts to get their attention are blatantly disregarded. You pretty much have to beg them for a drink. It should be the other way around. Bartenders are supposed to make you feel welcome and ask if you would like anything and if you need a refill. I have never been to an establishment where the employees are this rude and arrogant. Furthermore, my second (and probably last visit) was absolutely horrible. It was even worse than the first time. The bartenders and waitresses treat you like they are doing you a favor. Basic customer service was completely non existent. I will not be returning and I plan to tell others about my experiences. Every member of our group (10+ people) felt the same exact way. read more
