His knowledge of the field helped guide my orthopedic surgeon to get an MRI with contrast to better visualize my labrum which we found was severely torn. He helped me weigh the pros and cons of surgery and set realistic expectations. He listens and understands my unique goals - to work without pain, to swim for exercise, and to pick up my toddlers. As a physician myself, I believe he is a true expert in his field. Highly recommended for shoulder pain. Update a year later: after labrum repair shoulder surgery, My insurance changed so I saw another PT. With the other physical therapists, things were better, then worse.... better then worse. I decided to pay out of pocket for Evan and I am so glad I did! Within a week back at Kime I was pain free and progressing. With a few simple yet effective stretches and exercises, I am now able to swim laps, work, and lift my children!

At other physical therapy facilities, I have normally worked with the same physical therapist, which was fine. At CCPT, in order to do PT twice a week, I wouldn't necessarily work with the same physical therapist, which worked out quite well. I felt that each of the physical therapists that I worked with were all very good. They each continued and built on my rehab program, bringing something slightly different and ultimately quite helpful to the table. The physical therapists were great about addressing my concerns, and at the end of my rehab, provided a plan to continue strengthening and stretching my shoulder. I would recommend CCPT without any hesitation.

I began going to Lakás prior to their arrival at their current location. I was impressed by how…read moremuch care and support went into each session, and the move to their current studio has allowed them to expand their services for each client and for the community. I came to Lakás because I'd been diagnosed with back pain and was told "don't exercise" and "you're going to need surgery." I didn't like how my insurance-backed visits restricted my appointments to thirty minutes and I had a restricted number of visits to use before they expired. I didn't want to be another medical record number. I wanted a different approach. I began to work with Dr. Ankita Roy, but I have also worked with Dr. Kim Manlangit when Dr. Roy wasn't available. These physical therapists have done more than just rehab my back and help me build strength. They've given me a belief in myself that I didn't realize was missing. They've encouraged me when I've had setbacks and congratulated me for all of my wins. They've restored me from injuries from both sports and my own ignorance (yeah, I know, brace my core...). With the Lakás team I was able to reduce my back pain, return to the gym, and succeed in my goal to run a marathon. I'm now pursuing other running goals, and I know the entire Lakas team has my back--literally--to help me succeed and remain injury-free through all my pursuits. My experience at KIME was not great . The evaluation ($160) was not detailed. The manual therapy…read moreperformed was not helpful. For the last two sessions ($80 each) the doctor spent only 1-2 minutes telling me which exercises to do and the rest of the time was on his phone or elsewhere with no feedback. The exercises he had me perform brought a lot of pain afterwards, which took several days to recover from. Another red flag was that the doctor was not able to give recommendations on how to modify the exercises to help reduce the pain -- I had to rely on past experiences with other trainers/PTs to modify them myself. I had high hopes since this place came highly recommended by colleagues. Compared to my last physical therapist, however, KIME just wasn't for me and I will not be returning nor can I recommend it.

I laid there on the ground a few days Icing & heating while taking ibuprofen to no relief. After some research I found this place recommended on Yelp. The guy who helped me was professional, explained things thoroughly and even offered to work out a payment plan should I want to use them over my primary care physician. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is the amount of paperwork you have to do on-site oppose to offering the ability to print and fill it out at home. When you're in pain the last thing you want to do is spend 15 minutes on paperwork for 30 minutes of service after.
