At other physical therapy facilities, I have normally worked with the same physical therapist, which was fine. At CCPT, in order to do PT twice a week, I wouldn't necessarily work with the same physical therapist, which worked out quite well. I felt that each of the physical therapists that I worked with were all very good. They each continued and built on my rehab program, bringing something slightly different and ultimately quite helpful to the table. The physical therapists were great about addressing my concerns, and at the end of my rehab, provided a plan to continue strengthening and stretching my shoulder. I would recommend CCPT without any hesitation.

For the last two sessions ($80 each) the doctor spent only 1-2 minutes telling me which exercises to do and the rest of the time was on his phone or elsewhere with no feedback. The exercises he had me perform brought a lot of pain afterwards, which took several days to recover from. Another red flag was that the doctor was not able to give recommendations on how to modify the exercises to help reduce the pain -- I had to rely on past experiences with other trainers/PTs to modify them myself. I had high hopes since this place came highly recommended by colleagues. Compared to my last physical therapist, however, KIME just wasn't for me and I will not be returning nor can I recommend it.

Going up and down them felt like climbing Everest with a fork stuck in my knee. Enter: Maddie, the world's greatest physical therapist. I'm convinced she might actually be a magician. She took one look at me and my feeble attempt at walking, gave me that "we're gonna fix this" confidence, and suddenly I'm doing more squats and lunges than I knew the human body could legally perform in one hour. And somehow she made it fun. And shoutout to Dylan and Jesse, the MVP assistants they're hilarious, so encouraging, and make squats and lunges feel like a social event instead of punishment. Fast-forward: I can run again. I finished a whole month-long running challenge at my gym in August. This from the same person who was treating a dog walk like an extreme sport back in March. I have lived with a horrible painful pinched nerve & muscle between my hip and leg for 5 years. Because I hurt so bad I would walk with a limp and my left knee would swell because of all the imbalance. Even after drs, X-rays, meds for pains, chiropractor and 2 other physical therapy companies. I could not get better. In fact I was getting worse every year. So after being referred to UC Davis sports medicine. The Dr told me he would send me to Kimes " they will get you better!" I got a referral with Dr. Julia Wright in August. Well its been 2 1/2 month. I saw Julia once a week, plus I did the recommended therapy at home. Not easy and painful, but I am now pain free and able to walk in 3" heals or sleep on my side. What a relief. Thank you Dr Julia & Thank you Kimes. I appreciate all your knowledge. I made an appointment easily online and was able to schedule a massage within 2 days! Carina gave me a 65 minute massage and it was soo nice. She talked me through a lot of the tightness and issues I was having. Don't get me wrong, the massage hurts - a lot. I started PT for hip aches and pains that wouldn't go away and just kinda lingered. I worked with Glenn to address these pains and also strengthen the area. He was sure to challenge me and made sure I pushed myself but always ensured it was done safely and not something that would aggravate the issue more. When I injured my ankle (unrelated) during our time together he also helped me with some strengthening exercises for that. Glenn not only helped me rehab my hip but also provided lots of laughs and fun conversation along the way. I'm thinking about signing up for my first 50k and I wouldn't have had the confidence to do so if my hip was still bothering me... thankfully not only did the PT help, but it armed me with a exercises and movements to help the area stay strong.
