I had a great experience seeing Phoebe Bridgers live at Barclays Center. The security process this…read morenight involved putting away our phones and other potential recording devices inside of a locked pouch. Considering the additional procedure and how long the line was, it moved relatively quickly. It was also easy to get our phone unlocked at the end of the night. We were seated in section 223. Despite being in the nosebleeds, we had a great view of both stages and could see all of the lighting and visuals from there. The seats are a bit cramped in terms of leg space, but I was comfortable enough for most of the show. I could also hear the artist well from my seat. I'd definitely visit again for another concert.

If you're a degenerate gambler and Buzz Bin enthusiast, hitting refresh on Ticketmaster resale offerings before a Weezer show is a fun thing and I got a great deal in the 100s. Barclays isn't alone is making it unclear which rows have "excuse me/pardon me" problems and there was a needless glass-type barrier at one side of the section. The bass and drum sounds were imperfect but I heard Rivers Cuomo well enough, marking an improvement from the Blink 182 when the sound quality was far worse than your usual CVS. (What's your favorite CVS-Core tune? I'm with Del Amitri's "Not Where It's At" but Barenaked Ladies' "Too Little Too Late" is solid). Needs more bathrooms. Entry process was super-efficient.

There have been times when the lot was near full, but the team here monitors that so that there is always parking available for monthly pass holders. Recently, I changed jobs and no longer needed to park in the lot anymore and called to let them know not to renew for the next month. The man who answered the call let me know that the system was down so they weren't able to process any auto payments anyway and that he'd let the employee who handles the monthly payments know to discontinue my account. My job ended a week into the new month and the week after I was no longer there, I noticed that they had charged my credit card for the upcoming month. I called back and spoke with the manager who refunded me partially for the month since I had used the pass for about a week which I thought was fair. He assured me that my card will no longer be charged as well. If you are a SUNY Downstate employee, the lot offers a discount for the monthly pass. Bring your ID to show them proof of employment.
