This is a very large Y with lots of amenities. There is lots of parking and equipment. The facility is well maintained and clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The indoor walking track is very nice. The pool, hot tub and sauna are nice options. There are racquetball courts that can be reserved as well. The rock wall is a fun amenity too. This Y is very busy. Pick your exercise times carefully as you will have to contend with plenty of others for time on the equipment. Early hours and post work hours are usually very busy. read more

Great Gym up north, great walking path around the building and around that farm. Love the equipment and watching the soccer moms run the treadmill. Very nice place with almost all the amenity's. Nice equipment, nice spacious inside the place. Nice walking track inside! It's not as nice as the downtown YMCA I feel more business class here! Love watching soccer moms sweat at any location however! Good place to join or sign up the whole family! Little on the pricey side, but if you're poor you can get on that government cheese plan! free! heh heh. Everyone is looking for entitlements these days go in and see if you're poor enough to join this gym for free! Then it's real nice I bet! read more

The staff is extremely service oriented; they respond to member's needs with genuine enthusiasm, professional competence, and personal concern. The facilities are clean and well maintained. I recommend Parkview YMCA without reservation. read more

My daughter and I have a membership here. It's a busy YMCA and it is becoming dated but they do their best to keep the machines up and running and repaired at all times. Considering the masses that come through and workout I believe I've only witnessed one or two machines with a note on it saying it was out of commission. It is also not one of the largest YMCA's but it's not small either. They have the fitness area that is separate from the free weight area and then they have lots of court space for basketball and or Fitness classes that are offered during various times of the day at different fitness levels these are included in your membership. Also included is the outdoor splash pad and indoor pool with a slide, sauna and steam room. They also offer many different programs that are open to members and non members. What I'm not a huge fan of is the amount of kids that play on the machines that fart around because their parents aren't mindful of the rules and run around areas that report no kids allowed. They do have a rock wall wall, game room and play land available for these kids as well as the indoor pool and slide. Yet still they tend to be rambunctious and farting around on the machines. read more

Great place for swim lessons for the kids. We have been getting private swim lessons for our son on and off for approximately 3 years. Highly recommended once you get a hold of the instructor to schedule the lessons. Water is warmer for the kids than places like the Carroll HS Natatorium. read more

I love the facility very clean and accommodating! The outdoor park is awesome fenced in for safety. Trails are beautiful and great for a run. The outdoor splash pad is awesome for little kids if you're looking for more of a pool atmosphere the Jorgenson YMCA Southwest is the place to go. read more

This is one of the biggest facilities in Fort Wayne. It is also one of the best. It is a little expensive, but if you really enjoy fitness you will have a wide variety of options. The other members are friendly and are focused on working out. Unlike other gyms that tend to be more of a fashion show. I would recommend this gym to anyone that is primarily self motivated in fitness and enjoys working out 3 or more times per week. I would also recommend this to any families that would like to get into fitness together. Their kids programs are excellent. read more

I read the less than favorable reviews about this YMCA on Google but I really wanted to give them a chance to prove them wrong so I stopped by after work last Thursday (12/17/15) at about 8 pm. It was 2 hours before closing but I hoped I could get a tour of the place and ask a couple membership related questions. I noticed there was someone working the customer service desk. Since she was speaking with someone, I waited in line. When the employee noticed me she interrupted her conversation, gave me a rather disgusted look, wagged her finger and head at me and said, "After her I'm done! You can just . . . ", at which point she looked at the guy checking ID of those going in. His eyes got real big and said, apologetically, "I'm sorry. I've only worked here 4 days." At least he was polite about brushing me off. I suspect he'll be cured of that if the attitude of the other employee is indicative of their culture there. I considered giving them a 2nd chance by stopping in again during the day but then remembered the other reviews. I decided they had already had and blown their 2nd chance. I joined Planet Fitness just down the road, which is far cheaper, less crowded and, when I first walked through the door, the first employee who saw me said to me with a friendly smile, "Good afternoon! Welcome to Planet Fitness!" 'Nuff said. read more
