We had to go to a wedding and a graduation in the area so we booked our trip with Nancy via email. When we arrived we were greeted by Nancy's daughter and showed around briefly, then to our room. They have the cutest little dog and a couple of cats which are lazy and very friendly. Our room was huge, very nice and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, much more so than just about any bed in any home-away-from-home that I've stayed at, the only comparable bed would probably be the beds at Hampton Inn (which will cost you about $159 a night I might add). We were the only ones staying the first night and were able to name our own breakfast time, we chose 9am. The next morning we woke up to the smell of bacon and went downstairs for a wonderful breakfast of fruit plate, apple-french toast and bacon with juice and tea (neither of us drink coffee). We spoke with Nancy for nearly two hours about the area and really enjoyed our time just sitting and talking. The next day we had another wonderful breakfast before departing. Our first experience with a bed & breakfast was a great one. I think we were very fortunate to have chosen such a beautiful historic house run by such a wonderful family. As a side note as a techno-addict I appreciated the fast, free wi-fi (fast enough to stream Netflix). Unfortunately with our wedding and graduation we did not have time for a proper tour of the grounds and the area but since my girlfriend has family in the area we most certainly plan to come back. This is a fantastic value for the money and far beats anything you will find in a hotel, in cleanliness, comfort and value. And what hotel that you stay at is going to have such a cute Pomeranian to eat breakfast with? I loved the place so much I tipped Nancy generously and I would recommend everyone else do the same, you shouldn't have any problem affording it with the money you save from staying at a Holiday Inn!

My wife and I travel a lot and we have an opportunity to compare hotel/motels. The French Quarter is definitely a place we would come back too, and recommend.

I don't think I've ever seen any hotel do it more cheaply. The waffle machines are behind the bar - but on a Wednesday morning, the attendant said that only she could use it but they were too busy today. However, my husband and I were the only people there. We were given a TINY plastic plate to pile on cold scrambled eggs, cold raw bacon, any toast or biscuit you wanted. I had decided to have oatmeal, but the EVEN TINIER plastic bowl was so small that there would be no way to stir it. My husband did try to make his bran flakes so I got a picture, for reference. Coffee was Walmart pods - blah! The 2nd picture is of the coffee pot in the room. It is totally rusted - and dirty. I shared with the front desk that their coffee pots wouldn't rust so quickly if they didn't place them on the already small bathroom counter by the sink. That space is needed for us anyway! Loved the room, air conditioner, FABULOUS bed and the ambiance of the whole place.

Amanda greeted us at the Inn and gave us a grand tour full with amazing views of the Ohio River. Also a great dinner recommendation at Capronis Restaurant on the river- we walked (8 min) also walked through the town after dinner - so cute and full of nostalgia from a rich past. Missy's breakfast was outstanding and she was lovely! A must if you stay here! Ann (the inn-keeper and city commissioner) gave us a very rich history of the town and the current 'goings-on" of Maysville. We greatly enjoyed our conversaction with her and would for sure recommend the Inn- I have a feeling this town will look even better in the next 5 years! The room was a converted apartment and thus very spacious- living room/kitchen/bedroom..etc everything in the room was terrific- only small thing was the shower head needs to be addressed- great hot water and pressure- but you could not adjust the head bc it was broken and the water felt like needles coming out ) We had hoped to visit a couple vintage shops in town- but sadly most were closed both Monday/Tuesday of our stay. But all in all I would absolutely recommend this jewel- and we will definitely be back!

When my wife suddenly became ill, the General Manager personally got in her car and drove us to the local Emergency Room. The longer we stayed in the room, the more bugs we noticed crawling around. It was absolutely disgusting. We went straight to the front desk and were told this was "normal for the season" and that moving rooms would not help because every room supposedly had bugs too. We had tickets for the Ark the next morning and there was a huge storm coming in, so we did not feel safe trying to drive around an unfamiliar area late at night looking for another hotel. We basically felt trapped into staying there for the night. The next morning I called corporate and was told the hotel agreed to refund everything. I explained we still needed time to find another hotel since we originally planned to stay 2 nights. When I called back around 3 PM after visiting Noah's Ark, suddenly they changed their story and said they were NOT refunding us anymore. After endless back and forth, they finally claimed they would "only" charge us $40 for late checkout and refund the rest, which I agreed to. Then came even more lies and confusion. The employee told me they "didn't know how to process refunds" and that I would need to call back when the manager arrived -- even though the person I had been speaking to, SANDRA, supposedly WAS the manager and had already promised the refund herself. Once we left, they ended up charging us for BOTH nights anyway. When I called the next morning, they completely denied ever offering a refund at all. The customer service was beyond horrible. Every single person gave different stories, lied about who the manager was, and refused to take responsibility. Absolutely one of the nastiest and most dishonest hotel experiences I've ever had. I've filed complaints everywhere possible. Videos of the bugs are on my TikTok, and I'm posting screenshots for proof. Avoid this place at all costs.

I could only get lukewarm water in the shower and the gym was in total disrepair. The Peleton also wasn't working and the elliptical machine turned on but the resistance did not work. My only complaints would be that you can tell some furniture and fixtures in the rooms were old, and you can definitely see their age. Also, the water fountains do not work and apparently have not since covid. As someone who drinks a lot of water and does not always trust the bathroom sinks, this required me to have to purchase bottles from Kroger, instead of just refilling my water bottle at the fountains like I normally do at hotels. Lastly, the treadmill in the fitness center was out while I stayed, which was an inconvenience as I could not keep up my normal routine runs while I was there. All these problems are not deal breakers, but they did take away from my stay. Overall though, I would come back to this hotel if I need to on my next visit to Maysville. The people at the counter are very nice and saw to all my needs, and it is nicely located compared to many amenities in Maysville.
