I scheduled an Uber ride to the airport three or four days in advance for a 6:10 a.m. pickup…read morebecause I needed dependable transportation for a time-sensitive flight. When it was time for pickup, Uber was unable to connect me with a driver. After waiting and realizing the scheduled ride was not going to happen, I had to cancel and scramble for another option. I ended up paying a substantially higher last-minute fare for Lyft Priority pickup just to have a chance of getting to the airport in time. If Lyft had not come through, I would have missed my flight. Even with the Priority pickup, I barely made it. Uber did not charge me for the cancelled ride, but that does not excuse the failure of a ride I scheduled days in advance. What makes this worse is that Uber has shown no concern for the disruption or the extra expense I incurred and has not offered to reimburse the difference. The whole point of scheduling an airport ride ahead of time is reliability; Uber failed completely when it mattered most. Completely unacceptable. Uber let me down, Lyft saved the day, and I will think twice before relying on Uber for an important trip again.

Watch out! Elite Taxi is as crooked as they come…read more To set the scene, picture an 88-year-old woman who weighs 88lbs that cannot see well enough to type her own review of this hustler. My grandmother took a cab from a Cincinnati airpot to her apartment (a 10 minute drive or 4.2 miles, to be precise) and was given a bill of around $20.00, nothing out of the ordinary. Somehow "Chris", using his Square app, managed to end up charging her $125.00, which she only found out about the next day. As far as we can tell there are only two ways he could have done this. He either input the incorrect amount himself or my grandmother accidentally added a "custom tip" (which seems unlikely given her eyesight and understanding of apps) and he did not have the decency to correct such a gargantuan error. Shame on you for taking advantage of the elderly! Upon reporting this error to the company more than one member of the staff admitted they were at fault and told my father the difference would be credited back to her account. Several phone calls later and my grandmother has still not received the money. The credit card company has also declined reimbursing her for it as the taxi company apparently claimed (to American Express) my grandmother was at fault. The owner "Dave" was supposedly too sick to call my father back (a tactic used by evasive business owners and lazy high schoolers), and now perhaps intends to put off my grandmother until she gives up or forgets. What kind of company behaves this way? Who would employ a cab driver that intentionally rips-off old women? Oh wait, I'll tell you! Elite Taxi, your local, crooked, unfriendly cab company.

I told the cab driver when I called my exact location and how close I was to the airport. He arrived, his cab reeked of cigarettes and then he says its a $20 minimum to get to the airport. When I protested he said that the dispatcher should have told me this information. When i called the dispatch number, the drivers cell phone rang! It was him. I questioned him about why he didn't tell me this information and he claimed that he forgot. I told him I was not paying $20 to go for a 5 minute trip and he took me back to my location and told me to get someone else. A very dishonest person with a nasty attitude. So, I called UBER and got a great reasonably priced trip to the airport. No more AAA YELLOW CABS for me when I'm in Cincinnati !

My girlfriend and I were returning my bus from Atlanta and called hours in advance to reserve a cab, which we were assured would be waiting for us at our time of arrival. Little did we know, when we pulled into that desolate station in the wee hours of the morning, that -not only would there be no such driver there to deliver our tired bodies to the home and respite we so desperately needed- but one would not arrive for another HOUR AND A HALF. Did I mention it was a *cold*, dark night? It was well below freezing, as me and my suffering lover sought shelter in the dirty elevator for nothing but relief from the relentless blades of wind that cut us to our very core. You may ask, "Why leave this review seven years later, on the Yelp page of a business that no longer exists?" A fair question. To be truthful, we'd vowed that night to leave the worst possible review of this hateful, godforsaken company, but sadly forgot and never followed through, until tonight as we celebrated nine long years together and remembered this debt we owed the good people of Kentucky. Goodbye Bluegrass Cab. I'm happy to have cursed your name with these frostbitten hands, even after all this time.
