I've gotta say, I questioned myself writing this review because as many of you know, taxi's in Downtown Cincinnati are an endless stream of inaccurate quote times, drivers not knowing where anything is, or even taxi's just plain not showing up. Needles to say taxi dependency is non-existent. That's why I struggle to write this because I don't want anyone to know my secret. That I have finally found the best taxi service in town. I found Riverfront Taxi by doing a quick search on Yelp. I didn't expect much based on my experiences with cabs. When I called, Zaq the owner answered and asked where we were heading to. He answered with "OK I will be there in 5 minutes.". Yeah right I thought. I know how cabs curb their arrival times making you wait 30 minutes or longer sometimes. So I continued to get ready when I received a text message reading "Taxi outside. I am here." Interesting. Firstly interesting that he arrived in 5 minutes, and secondly interesting that he text me telling me he was there so we didn't have to go outside and stand in the cold. The moment we got in he was inviting and charming and made the ride super enjoyable. They've even helped us find a cab before when they couldn't get to us in a timely manner. We called once and he said all his drivers were busy but he said he would text all of his taxi contacts and get someone to come get us. What?!?! He sent business to someone else because he knew he couldn't get to us as fast as another company. Unheard of. The next time we called Zaq again came and not only remembered us but asked us if the other guy came to get us and if he was on time. Amazing. We will continue to call Zaq. We are now loyal customers. One thing I hate is when taxi companies blatantly lie about when they will be there just so they will get your business. I don't care if you say 45 minutes, I just want to know an accurate time. Riverfront knows this and the way they help you get a ride whether it be from them or someone else will have me calling them first every time. I highly recommend. An easy five stars. read more

So we always use Zaq (the owner) he is the best! We live downtown and have tried every, and I MEAN EVERY cab company there is. As Justin said, we are usually on schedule, or have a dinner reservation and hate being lied to or tricked when a cab company says, "10 minutes" and then 40 minutes later... or worse never shows up! We found Zaq on Yelp and have been using him ever since. A couple things stuck out to me about him and I fell in love: 1) He TEXTS!!! When he is here he will just shoot me a text that says cab is here. Or better, I can send him a text early on in the day and say, "Hey we need picked up at 7. Is that cool? And he will text me directly back instead of being transferred ten times. 2) My girlfriend and I didn't have any cash, and Zaq was driving around looking for an ATM, instead of jacking up the meter, he said, "Don't worry about it this time, you can just pay me next time." I used RiverFront Taxi Services to transport a customer from her home in Hamilton to a video shoot in Erlanger, KY. The drop-off destination changed three times based on filming permission and Zaq was very flexible and understanding of the changes. He arrived on time to pick up the customer and dropped them off on time for the shoot, before returning them home safely. The ease of scheduling was top-notch. However, I can only give the company 2 stars because of the lack of professionalism expressed by Zaq upon dropping off the customer to our video shoot. He made it very clear that he did not like the part of town she lived in and carried on about it for several minutes, then repeatedly brought it up. He urged us to hurry up in our filming process (despite being given a schedule and ample time to look up the pick-up location prior to taking the job) because he didn't want to be in her part of town. My customer was very uncomfortable with his continuous conversation, as she is aware that she isn't in the greatest of neighborhoods, but is just trying to get by and make the best of very difficult circumstances. Her children also noted his inappropriate comments and expressed their discomfort for the obvious being repeatedly pointed out. Although this guy waited for us based on a delayed flight, he had the audacity to suggest that our 2 year old daughter ride without a car seat when the airlines lost her seat. He did offer a car seat from his house but he suggested that we drive to his house, without a car seat, and then proceed to our final destination. From there it went downhill; he then offered to take a picture of his car seat when I questioned him if his seat was correctly sized for my child. A picture was unacceptable. We paid him for his time but will never hire him based on his lack of standards of child safety. For a professional driving service this company should be aware of the Ohio laws of requiring a car seat for children. read more

I hate to break the reputation of this "5 star" service, but I didn't get to have a taxi when I desperately needed one. As I was getting the address, he hung up on me 5 times after repeatedly calling. He even ignored my call. He probably figured that it wasn't worth it to pick me up because he had to wait on the phone for realistically 30 seconds for me to get the address. So incredibly rude and inconsiderate. If I had been in an even worse situation, who knows what would've happened had he pulled this stunt. I'm a little confused that all of these reviews give him a solid 5 stars. It makes me question the validity of these so called reviews. I never thought to expect such selfish behavior from a 5 star taxi service. Especially one with so many positive reviews. I have been using Zaq's services for a few months and he is both extremely reliable and friendly - and organizing a ride is a cinch, even when I need a 4AM or midnight airport run. Never felt more disrespected by a service I was paying for. Sunday morning, I called for a ride to the greyhound and I had to repeat the name of the street several times. Then when he got there, he called and I confirmed I was coming out. After 3-5 min of waiting due to getting my luggage, guy calls with an angry attitude yelling saying he has to leave over and over. Well I said for him to leave then. Almost missed my bus for a VERY important meeting. Will never call this service again.
