I'm a 29yo, 5'7" male and pretty skinny, so even slim fit clothes are often a little baggy. After a particularly frustrating shopping trip I ended up searching on yelp and found Joanne. After discussing my needs, I decided to bring Joanne several pairs of pants and shirts for alterations, which she had done in no time. I like to dress nice for work, and I know I'm going to look so much better with well fitting clothes. It was also extremely convenient because we live right around the corner from each other! I got the hem shortened and she added boards to the sides so that the top wouldn't fall down- I'm a little smaller up too if you know what I mean! The dress was ready in a week which still have me plenty of time before the event. After my final fitting she sewed the straps down so they weren't visible while I was getting dressed and didn't charge me extra. The only reason I rated this place 4/5 was because the hours are a little inconvenient. They are open Tuesday through Saturday 11-6 and when I first looked up this place and called they were closed for two weeks. However, they are back open for business and very helpful. I plan on using them again for future alterations and possibly dry cleaning!

I cannot recommend that any bride trust this business with their gown. I called ahead of time to…read moreinquire about the amount of time it would take to press out my dress, a ball gown with lots of layers or tulle, and was very clear about when the dress needed to be picked up before I headed out of town for my wedding. They said the timeline wasn't a problem but when I came in on Friday to pick up my dress the girl at the front counter initially said she didn't believe it was done. A gentleman came out and insisted the dress was as "good as it was going to get" and that the obvious wrinkles were because of the way the dress was sewn. It took a steady stream of seven bridesmaids, three Mom's and myself three hours to steam and press out the dress which Pine Cleaners clearly did not even touch. I was issued a refund without question but there was no apology. The money isn't the problem, it's the trust in a business to do their job and keep their word and the hours spent pressing a dress that should have been spent in celebration. I would recommend not trusting this establishment with handling your garments for any special occasion.

They stitched a patch on the wrong sleeve and it looked as if a child stitched it. Extremely sloppy. Then asked to remove and restitch they told me it would take a couple days.
