FYI - I have children that are now adults so don't even have reasons to come to a Pediatrician…read moreanymore. Plus, when my children were younger, we actually went to another group since I don't think this practice existed (20 years ago) or were near where we lived. The reason why I am giving this rating is, because I have had the opportunity to come here three times to actually teach pregnancy yoga (I subbed for their regular instructor who is awesome). Parkside Pediatrics had been offering pregnancy yoga (Wednesday evenings) knowing that there's benefits to both Mommy-to-Be and baby. Beforehand it was drop-in donation-based but they are now charging a very small cost which they donate to charity. This makes more sense as they can now be sure who is registered and planning on attending, and the participant can receive information. The facility is very nice and I like how they have two different entrances and lobbies for well and sick children. They have staff members /receptionists who are friendly and I was actually quite shocked and pleasantly surprised that they have late hours because you never can plan when your child becomes ill. Other interesting fact is on their lower level, there is an entire Breastfeeding Center. I don't know if they have classes, probably, but there are supplies and information regarding equipment/supplies . . . which is wonderful. I would have loved that when I needed it. The pregnancy yoga class that I setting up for one time was after hours and one of the owners/doctors saw me setting up for the class and took the time to introduce himself and ask if he could help. As always, the relationship with your doctor is important and usually extends with their staff folks. Though I don't have direct experience from the medication needs side, it is good to see a very clean facility that offers much to its patients.

My daughter was a patient here for eight years. In the beginning, we loved this practice. It had a…read morepersonal, small-town feel, and we always felt like our concerns mattered. Unfortunately, over the past few years, that experience changed enough that we decided it was time to find a new provider. One of the biggest frustrations has been continuity of care. The physician we were seeing became available only part-time. When you're trying to manage ADHD medication, consistency is incredibly important. Seeing different providers makes it much more difficult to find the right treatment plan and build trust. We also experienced several administrative issues. Our daughter's prescription was sent incorrectly on three separate occasions, creating unnecessary delays and frustration. I was also charged for a full virtual office visit simply to ask follow-up questions about a medication that had recently been prescribed. Obtaining medical records was another challenge. After three requests, one set of records still wasn't sent. When requesting another set, I was told there were IT issues, and I ultimately had to drive to the office to pick them up myself. While any practice can have an occasional mistake, the pattern of communication issues, administrative problems, and lack of continuity eventually outweighed the positive experiences we had early on. It feels like the practice has shifted from the personal care it once provided to a much more corporate environment. I hope this feedback is helpful, and I genuinely hope these issues are addressed so other families have a better experience than we did.
