It has a decent selection of wine and booze, and a good one for beer. If you want more craft beers, check out the "sister" store down past the rotary, "SoCo Wine and Beer". I didn't give it 5 stars because even though they're really nice and friendly, the staff don't know a lot about beer, wine, and booze (if you want someone knowledgeable, go to the "sister" store I mentioned above; owned by the same family--at least, as of this writing). Also, a lot of bottles don't have prices on them, which can be inconvenient if you're shopping within a price range. However, I'm a fairly regular customer when we're in the area. Cheers!

We arrived, ordered our drinks and the server came back and said they couldn't make the drink he ordered. No big deal. He ordered another drink and we ordered the crab dip. The dip came out extremely quickly, and was barely warm. The bread they served it with was an odd choice, it was so soft. Not a bread for dipping. The dip was also full of shells. So then we ordered our entrees, they tell my husband they're out of crab and don't have crabcakes....a waterfront restaurant is out of crab cakes? What about the crab dip we had just ordered? That tells me that dip wasn't fresh. He ended up getting the smoked Rachel. The sandwich itself he said was fine. We shared his fries and they were soggy. I ordered a wedge salad, and the dressing was gross. I don't even know what it was, it didn't taste like any blue cheese dressing I've ever had before. It was so sweet it was nearly inedible. It tasted like Cole slaw dressing that had been made with too much sugar. There was another table within ear shot of us and a patron was complaining about everything. I felt bad for the server so for that reason, I didn't say anything. I just asked for a box and threw away my salad when we got home. Whenever my wife and I visit a restaurant or bar for the first time, whether we are there by ourselves or--in this case--treated to a meal by our favorite neighbors--I can count on her to sort through, heed, and pick up on every nuance in every aspect of culinary service that is there to be sensed. In this case, at the Dockside Restaurant & Sports Bar at 421 Deale Road in Maryland, the food was mostly wonderful, and the prices were more than reasonable for this economy. What prevents Dockside from receiving at least four stars was primarily the service. Two orders of fries, one sweet potato and one regular, weren't hot; and although our waitress reluctantly brought one of the orders back to exchange it for a new batch, the fries didn't taste any warmer. Our other host ordered his crabcake lightly-fried, only for it to be brought out broiled. He still enjoyed it, but it wasn't exactly what he wanted or ordered. By the end of the meal, it became obvious that, if we return, we need to ask for Sarah, who, although she was tending the bar and wasn't even our waitress, still brought one of our neighbors a fresh cup of Pepsi Zero that she could take on our return trip home. Sarah also exhibited a great sense of humor, an attentiveness and an attention to detail, and, most importantly, remembered with pleasure our hosts, who have dined there frequently. Apart from the pumpkin cheesecake, which was so infused with nutmeg and pumpkin spice that even Linus from Peanuts couldn't have tasted the pumpkin, and the lukewarm fries, our meals were terrific. I devoured the perfectly-seasoned shrimp from the fried shrimp platter; everyone loved their onion rings and their cream of crab and Maryland crab soups; and we all agreed that the crabcakes, boiled and fried, were scrumptious.

I tried to order one and half the ingredients from the menu attached to the counter they did not have. We worked through that and when I started a second pizza order the guy blew up and started yelling saying you should have called in for more than one pizza (I would have if there was a menu to find!). I just said never mind and left. Next thing I know, this guy is outside yelling at me calling me a f **** guy and A**** plus a lot of other cursing and yelling, I just stopped listening. I am a pretty easy going person and the Pizza may be good but not worth the attitude i experienced. Would have left a negative if possible!

I arrived around 2 pm, and was directed to an outlying parking lot. A shuttle bus took people to the museum (after about a 15 minute wait to add more passengers) & admission to the festival was $10. They were selling wine for $5 and beer from Forward Brewing. You could get a plate of oysters from Skippers Pier and there were several other food vendors. They had live music in two places. The views are great. I enjoyed one sign & map that showed exactly what the landmarks are across the water, from Beverly Beach, Thomas Point, the Bay Bridge, etc. There was such a big crowd that I did not tour the inside of the museum, but I will definitely go back.
