i purchased a mini split unit. after having it professionally installed i had to pay an addition $1,000 to have 50 liters of coolant added because there was only 2 ounces in the unit. prior to this i called because the unit was not operating in heat mode and the representatives solution was for me to purchase another $1300 unit. EVEN AFTER I HAD ANOTHER HVAC COMPANY COME OUT TO REPAIR THE UNIT, IT WAS CONCLUDED THAT THEY SENT ME A DEFECTIVE UNIT. IT STILL IS NOT OPERATING. i will make sure that i spread the word across all social media platforms about the horrendous policies, warranty and customer service standards that this company inflicts on paying customers. i am also a contractor for very large companies AND had my experience been exceptional, i would have recommended this product to many of my clients. however i will MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF THE COMPANIES MISHANDLING OF CUSTOMERS, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNSAVORY WARRANTY GUIDLINES. Follow up to my call back from Pioneer. this company has revealed themselves to be a laughing stock of the HVAC community. their "solution" for a defective unit was to send me 2 lbs of freon... mind you i spent $1000 for a licensed company to come out and service the unit adding 50 liters to the 2 ounces Pioneer sent it out with. Way to put a band aid on a bullet wound pioneer. At this point, the ONLY solution for this lackadaisical response would be to either refund my hard earned USD or send a higher efficiency unit to accommodate the additional cost i have incurred by being sent a unit the is defective and still not operable after having it serviced by a licensed AND insured HVAC company. i will continue to make sure that everyone in this industry, and adjacent is aware that PIONEER DOES NOT STAND BY THE QUALITY OF THIER PRODUCT BY PROVIDING A WARANTY THAT DOES NOT INSURE ITS EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY THAT PIONEER NORTORIOUSLY BOASTS ABOUT ON ALL OF THE PLATFORMS WHICH THESE UNITS ARE SOLD. PIONEER.COM HAS A QUOTE ON THE HOME PAGE"...enjoy the perfect temperature all year round" well it is less than 50 degrees in the Midwest and my family has been less than warm. read more

We ordered three of the Pioneer mini-split units (and still managed to save $11k over a formal bid from a local HVAC company to install two units) and installed them ourselves (taught ourselves from scratch but the equipment made it easy). One showed up with a cracked fan blade and they sent the replacement without a hassle. I had a fault about 6 months later in one of the fan motors. I went to their https://www.pioneerminisplit.com/ website and clicked on chat. Even with a small queue, the response was within 30 secs. I gave the symptoms and the tech support fella, Erik, diagnosed it in about a minute and gave me a contact number for warranty. I called the number, call was picked up almost immediately, told them what had been diagnosed, answered a two questions about who placed the order and the model number, they confirmed the address, and was told the part would be in my hands in 4-5 days. This is factually the fastest and easiest troubleshooting and warranty response I have ever experienced in my life. The whole transaction took less time than it took Despite being in opposite corners of America, I cannot imagine any reason I would have to go with any other HVAC company in the future -- Parker Davis still has the customer service model from the Golden Age. read more

My first Pioneer minisplit purchase/installation was 6+ years ago. Since then I've installed a number of these systems and (so far) all remain in good operation to this day. When time came recently for another MS I naturally returned to Parker Davis/Pioneer for one of their new 2-ton Hyperheat Quantums. Installation was straightforward especially with the accurate indoor unit cardboard template. A manufacturing issue did arise with the optional flex lineset that was found upon inspection before installation. A phone call to PD customer support had a zero-hassle, zero-cost replacement shipped out that same day and a couple days later we were in business! Excellent customer support has also extended backwards - recently a painting contractor accidentally stepped on my 6 year old outdoor unit bending the top panel. A call to customer support had a replacement panel quickly shipped... and at a very reasonable price! Highly recommended for ease of installation, performance and after-sale support. Ed read more

I have dealt with your company since I moved from Pennsylvania to Florida five years ago. I've bought three split units and other items to protect my units. I know they are manufactured in Florida. My grandson purchased the first, and then he had good luck with Pioneer and I stuck with the brand. I replaced one up north in my bedroom with a 2 ton. I have two added to my house in Florida which takes the load off my 3.5 ton which is a 2 ton in the bedroom and added another 3 ton to my recently added 4 season room. I have one in my work shop (3 ton). The shipments have always been fast and they have been free shipping. I know the quality is there and they are quiet and efficient. I have an authorized technician that services them every year for me, a total of four units which includes the 3.5 ton. I clean the filter after 6 months and they clean them every year. Good service is the name of the game, plus the units are excellent. read more

I must say that ordering my unit was easy, the website is easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. Once ordered it was quick to arrive and was packaged in a way that was not likely to get damaged during shipping. Everything was as was supposed to be but 1 thing. Which is the only reason I gave a 4 star. The unit did NOT come with enough Freon for the unit to work properly. Which required an additional trip from the company that installed it to add more Freon and an additional cost to me. If not for that problem i would have given a 5 star. All in all, I was very pleased with the cost of the unit and I would most definitely recommend to anyone that was looking to purchase one that this would be a great place to buy one from. read more

This company has given my husband such a hard time. The warranty is trash. I was considering getting mini splits from them for our other new builds and even recommending them to friends because of how convenient a mini split is..but after the response he recieved for the defective unit. Basically buy another unit. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this company. Not even to an enemy. Check them on bbb for one they aren't accredited but seems like they stan for defective units. Even on other sites like home depot. Highseer ect the 1star ratings are all DEFECTIVE UNITS beware. The warranty only sticks if u never open the box thats how they get u out of thousands of dollars. How would you know it was defective if u kept it in the box? BEWARE!!!! read more

I purchased 2 ultras 12000 btu units. They arrived quickly in about a week. My wife and 12 year old grandson helped me install the units. The first one took us 2 days to instal. My neighbor is a retired HVAC business owner and he came over and pulled vacuum on the system and turned gas on. (no charge) He was impressed with the unit and really liked the flex lines I had upgraded to. The second took just a little over 8 hrs with 2 Grandsons helping. My neighbor came back over and pulled a vacuum on the second unit. We are in love with these units, how quiet they are and how well they work. My daughter and one of my sons are both looking to purchase mini splits to put in their homes. Happy customer read more

I have purchased from here twice in the past and shipping is aways fast on in stock units. I did not have any issues on the first two. This time my mini split came damaged. They did replace the cracked cover which took a week. However the unit was missing several items. The pass through for the wall, putty to fill the holes, and tape for wrapping the lines. Even though I spoke to the person on the phone and included these items in the email with the requested photo the only item I received was the cover. Since I had the unit installed and needed the stuff yesterday I ended up purchasing it on Amazon so I could finish the job quickly. It seems that know one wants to read today. read more

super fast shipping from fl and clear communication on truck delivery as well. i ordered 3 inside units and one 3zone unit outside. all three had different lineset lengths and they got them all correct installed just like all others and works well. my issue with other brands is that they have literally no "warranty" and use horrible internal components. the "warranty" makes you jump thru hoops to prove their part failed (which they know it does) and then they only replace the part -- leaving you with $1500 hvac bill for a professional to come and replace that compressor/condenser. let's hope pioneer system last longer !! i will update in another year or so. thanks!! read more

It was easy and it works well! Super quiet and smooth! I thought the circuit boards could be of better quality, but that's pretty normal electronics quality these days that I learned from my electrician from all suppliers. The biggest negative thing I learned after I installed is: It doesn't matter if you have a certified electrician wire it. You cannot do the rest of it yourself and the whatever or 5 year warranty that's available. It has to be done start to finish by an HVAC contractor and lots of technical information has to be logged and supplied. Shame because I could sell and install tons of these units. Anyways... read more

I am a piano tuner and I service pianos and am in customers home. And a couple of customers that I have had this unit in their home. I was very impressed on how quiet it was. So when the air conditioning went out in my small piano shop I decided to give it a try. I am very happy thus far with it. My brother and I installed it ourselves and it went quite well. My only complaint was the delivery process. It was 2 days beyond the date that it was supposed to be delivered. But other than that all seems to be well. I was very happy with the price and so far I'm happy with the product. Thanks, Jimmy Miller read more

10/8/25 I must have had a small leak somewhere in the mini split system that I installed. It kept freezing up about every 6 months or so and I kept adding small amounts of coolant. These systems are very sensitive. Ordered this stuff on 9/8/25 arrived 9/11/25. Great price for DIY repair. Arrived on time. Easy to use. As this was about a month ago, I believe my problem is solved. Great product so far. I will reach out if I have any issues. On an added note, I would like to see the leak repair & hose sold as a package. This would take the worry off of weather or not I am getting the correct hose. read more

The pioneer mini split heat pump is a attractive addition to our family room wall. It is much quieter than I anticipated. The cost of the mini split is pretty much in line or... less than similar to others I looked at. It is loaded with features that others do not offer. Installation is within most Do-it-yourselfer's category if they closely read and follow the supplied instructions. However it does require a good set of helping hands. It is up and running and we are enjoying the added comfort...Steve J read more

I had a wonderful experience with my purchase of a 18,000 BTU split AC unit. Placed my order and needed it rushed, called and explained my situation. They expedited my order and received it several days early. Everything was packaged well and received undamaged. Very easy to install. I also reached out for a few questions i had, the response was immediate with great details on what I needed to do to complete the installation. I will be purchasing a second unit for them. read more

The first system we received was not charged with freon. When we called customer service, they said they would send out another outdoor unit as replacement. The replacement unit was received within 3 to 4 days. The unit was just as promised. After installing the replacement unit, the heater system works great! We haven't tested the AC part yet. I would highly recommend this AC/Heater unit. The cost of the system was within reason from others I got prices from. read more

Customer accidently threw away three remotes. I ordered the replacements and didn't think anymore till I received an email letting me know that I had ordered the wrong remotes based upon my unit order. So, they selected the correct remotes and let me know they had shipped. Excellent work. I emailed the company back and thanked them for saving me many headaches and embarrassment for the customer and I. Thank you Pioneer. Sincerely, Emmett read more
