This time I special ordered birthday donuts in a Spider-Man/superhero theme for my 6 year old grandson's birthday and they turned out so cute. They even texted me a picture of them beforehand. I needed birthday letter donuts and called the day before to place an order. The woman I spoke to was very nice and took all of my information so that she could create the birthday donuts. The charge was $27. They were ready when I walked in and the place was very busy. She created ones with all sorts of icing and different cookie plus candy toppings on them. They were beautiful and I was really pleased with their customer service. I ordered five extra glazed donuts and was given some donut holes as well. This seemed to be the place to be because so many people were coming in to the shop, and there was a line when I first walked in. The store is Bright and the donuts look fresh and very tasty. My son's birthday was a blast. All of the students in his class really enjoyed the donuts. I would definitely come here again for the donuts, the service, and the ease of doing business here. I ordered sausage rolls they were not good at all they were extremely small like for a child the sausage was dry if that makes sense. I usually go to another place but this was close. What really gets me is the sign that says 3$ minimum. I never understood that I may not want to spend 3$ I feel if they cannot afford to have a credit card machine take cash only. I'm used to being spoke to or spoke back to maybe the day I went the workers were tired. I usually get free donut holes here I paid 2$ that's neither here nor there. Park Place Donuts is located in a small shopping center. I noticed they have Christmas lights under their awning, which would be cool when it gets dark. This place sells hats and masks etc. in addition to food and drinks. I got the bluberry cake donut, glazed donut and jumbo sausage kolache. Favorite donut shop!!! Typically I get the spinach feta bistro, maple glazed donut, and cinnamon buttermilk donut. All of which are consistently delicious. The service is excellent! The shop has other items like gift-store items as well, which has come in handy as a last minute gift on the way to work. They also have extra fancy donuts that are themed and so inventive! I got 5 free donut holes - two with my order, then as I was sitting eating, one of the owners brought out three fresh-out-of-the-fryer donut holes which has just been glazed and cooled. Perfection. My husband and I decided to wake up early for an adventure and get some fresh hot donuts this morning and chose Park Place as our destination. We pulled up at about 5:15am to be greeted by a lovely lady who helped us get our donuts. The baker stepped out from the back and gave us each a freshly fried and glazed donut! PERFECTION! We pulled over as soon as we could and dug in. I myself being a blueberry cake and old fashioned donut enthusiast have found one of the best recipes yet!! I'm very picky when it comes to these two types of donuts and I was blown away but the perfect crisp on the outside and the moist dough on the inside. The maple bacon donut was amazing as well! Nothing is too sweet! The croissant sausage roll and the sausage and bacon kolache were pure satisfaction in my taste but the real star of the show was the plain glazed donut and the welcoming atmosphere! I'm extremely picky about doughnuts. Until today, I had never eaten one that comes anywhere near holding a candle to Shipley's. All doughnuts are compared to Shipley's and they just don't cut the Mustard so I normally don't even bother eating them if they aren't from my favorite chain. That all changed today! Park Place has the only donuts I've ever had that rival my favorite chain, and they are very reminiscent of Shipley's. The quality, flavor, and consistency are all top notch. The price was right, and they had my favorite brand of chocolate milk, Oak Farms. It is just a great tasting, even consistency, flavorful chocolate milk. I purchased three doughnuts: one glazed, one cinnamon sugar, one chocolate iced. When I looked in the bag after I left, the employee who helped me had snuck in three doughnut holes too! They were all scrumptious and melted all too quickly in my mouth despite trying to savor them as long as possible. On top of that, the staff was very friendly, quick, and attentive. I was greeted the moment I walked in and they helped me immediately. There were several other customers there including an older gentleman who was walking pretty roughly with a cane. He bought a huge box of assorted doughnuts and after he paid, one of the employees helped him out to his car, secured his box of deliciousness in his back seat, helped him get in and watched as he backed out to make sure he left safely and then turned and waved to me as I drove off. THAT is customer service. My hat's off to this establishment. Great product, great price, great service and caring employees. Oh man this place has the best glazed donuts around. I came here after church and got 2 glazed and 2 chocolate glazed and they were the bomb. These donuts are super soft and not too overly sweeten.
