We officially have a new family favorite--just look at this face…read more Pilaski's Donuts has completely won us over. The donuts are so fresh, soft, and perfectly sweet without being heavy or greasy. The classic chocolate glazed are amazing, but the decorated donuts? Next level. (Clearly--because someone couldn't even wait before picking one out.) They also make it really fun for kids--the little character donuts with sprinkles, cookies, and bright colors are such a hit. It's not just a donut run, it's an experience. And the service is just as good as the donuts--kind, welcoming, and the kind of place you want to keep coming back to. Safe to say... we'll be regulars.

Mansfield is rich with donuts and kolaches in all corners of the city, but one of the best local…read moreoptions is Sunshine along Broad St. It is as simple as donut shops can get, with no fancy donuts, but straightforward classic toppings with kolaches (aka "sausage rolls") and double dose of excellent service. Like most of the competitions, the shops are small and Sunshine is no exception. It is strictly grab and go, with no gimmicks or fancy donuts to offer. It is a really a lineup of classics, spanning from plain glazed to sprinkles and twists, with eclairs and fritters. There are also donut holes of the same flavors, which are sold by the dozen. A donut dozen is just around $11. The kolaches are simple but tasty. Their jumbo ($2.89) is substantial, relative to their regular and spicy options. I also love the croissant variation, which also comes with bacon and there is a seperate beef sausage entirely. The breakfast sandwiches are also interesting, where I'd give a nod to the croissant sandwich as the one to get, but I can see their sausage biscuit and spinach croissant being a fan favorite. The Korean owners are incredibly sweet and friendly. They're helpful when asking for recommendations and have made nice accommodations to help folks celebrate occasions with donuts (custom donut cakes are available). Their cake donuts are still my favorite of the bunch.

The service in the morning is also disappointing--the employee often seems unfriendly and like she doesn't want to be there. It really takes away from the experience.

The moment you step inside, the delightful aroma of fresh doughnuts and pastries hits you, making it impossible to resist. My personal favorites are the spicy sausage rolls--perfectly seasoned and they warm them up for you--and the chocolate sprinkle donut holes, which are a sweet treat I can never pass up. They are a must-try if you haven't had them yet! Not too sweet, just perfectly fluffy with crunchy glaze. They also throw in a couple free plain donut holes with your purchase. My new favorite find is the raspberry filled donut! I'd love to see them add fruit kolaches to their menu! The only time I don't come here is when I'm craving an apricot kolache. Then I have to drive all the way down green oaks to my second option. (Ugh) The main lady who works there is always so friendly and attentive, making every visit enjoyable. Her positive energy adds to the overall charm of this place. She always does her best even when they are out of something to find you something different. If you're looking for delicious donuts and a warm atmosphere, Wonderful Donuts is the spot to be!
