I don't write reviews that much. But I thought I should warn everyone that they do not keep their kitchen clean. I found multiple bugs in my donuts, and God knows how many I've ingested before I realized there were any. The donuts were delicious, yes. absolutely horrible got 2 sausage rolls, 2 blue berry things 2 glazed dounts As well as a strawberry milk and a Chocolate milk my gf said the strawberry milk was bad idk I did not try it after she said that the Chocolate milk wasnt cold at all cool maybe at best, the food was literally probably one of the worst things I have ate in a very long time in all honesty ive spent time in jail and it was truly comparable to jail food thats how bad it was. then i go to pay and its on a how much would you like To tip screen...... I have worked by this location for a while now and have been coming here all this time. When I first started this was my donut spot. Pricing was great and the donuts fresh and tasty. Recently though, probably in the past year or so they have been slipping for me. They have gone up on pricing and the quality has gone down, enough where it does not justify the pricing, for me at least. Lately I have also noticed the sun in the morning beats right into there display case and essentially melting all the icing on the donuts. So when you go dig into your bag, you come out with hella stained sticky fingers with a smeared bag to boot. The couple that owns the place are super nice and always friendly. I went here all the time as a kid, and the owner knew me so well. Even as an adult (23 years old) the woman recognized me and instantly asked how my mom is doing. When I started working at Starbucks, I would grab 2 dozen donuts from my then favorite (DV donuts) shop and surprise and delight my partners. However one week she was there... and the next she was gone. I was so heartbroken over this woman leaving, but I knew she needed that SO well deserved retirement! I decided to give the new place a try, but was disappointed in the lack of fluffiness that her donuts had. The glaze was a little more as well, so the whole composition was off. My other go to when I grab donuts is the cinnamon sugar cake. Theirs had little seasoning on it and tasted more like straight sugar than cinnamon. The new owner seemed nice and appeared to give great customer service. I rate 3 stars only because of the lack of perfection in their craft. I'm hopeful it will grow and transform into a new donut shop all it's own, and that the donuts might get a little fluffier. read more

I've been coming to DV's for about a year now and their donuts are always fresh. I'll either come here or Shipley's but it depends on what I'm in the mood for. Shipley's has really great donuts but sometimes they're too thick, so I prefer them when they're hot and almost melt in your mouth. DV's has comparably great donuts but I've never had one hot there - and I specifically go to the one where they are made in store (this location). They have two locations, one is down a zig-zag of streets but is within a 5 mile radius. The main item I prefer at DV's over Shipley's is their sausage rolls. Some call them kolaches, I always think of pastries with preserves when I hear them mentioned as that so I just stick with sausage rolls. They have the right size sausage wiener for the bread they're wrapped in. I'll write a separate review for Shipley's when I go back but if you ever try them out, you may be surprised at how much breading they have. It's almost like a hotdog bun wrapped around this little bitty sausage link. Every time I go into DV's the same kind appearing Asian lady is there ready to serve. She's never not smiling. She is super sonic quick with the register, which for some reason leads me to second guess her work but I have never said anything. I just trust she's doing it right and I know if I should ever want a receipt she would provide one. I will keep going back to this place. Friend me if you're friendly! SYOY read more

They don't have a huge doughnut selection, but I tend to prefer just regular yeast-risen glazed doghnuts anyway. And theirs are amazing. I love me some DVs donuts. The location is right next to my house and so I can actually smell the fresh donuts being made in the mornings. Once I get a whiff of that amazing smell I usually can't resist my urge and drive down the street for a quick bite. The interior is just like any other donut store around but the donuts and sausage rolls are so fresh and light. DVs by far has the best donuts in the area. If you order enough and the cost exceeds around $10 (which typically we do) the lady behind the counter will throw in some donut holes (either glazed, chocolate covered, or cinnamon). My go-to order is a chocolate donut with sprinkles, a sausage roll and some chocolate milk. If i was on death row this might be my last meal. read more

They don't have all your fancy donut creations. No maple with bacon but what they do have is very flavorful, light and fresh donuts. We've all had those donuts that live you with a filmy taste in your mouth, yuck. You don't get that from DV's. They also have a good array of kolaches and breakfast croissants. I came here with my son and the lady was so rude. The customer service is just downright horrible. I have tons of patience, and never gave the lady who helped me any reason to treat us the way she did. After each individual thing we were ordering she would reply is "Is that it??" in an impatient tone; I even felt bad ordering. When I asked if she could warm up one of the pigs in the blanket she pointed to the broken down microwave on the other side of the store to basically push me aside. There are two locations for DV's Donuts. This is the primary location and the secondary location is at 1831 Brown Blvd. I will review this location since it is where the donuts are made fresh daily. Once I walked in, I noticed the place is very clean. The cashier is very friendly and upbeat. She is always quick to cater to her customers. This place is my favorite donut shop for various reasons. I will highlights few, such as the donuts have just the right consistency which makes them melt in your mouth. They are not packed with too much flour which you can taste is other poor locations. The glaze has just the right amount of sugar. Unusually order original and chocolate donuts and donut holes and they never disappoint. I also get the sausage,cheese, and egg English muffin which is delicious. The way the make these breakfast sandwiches are very tasty. You can tell they put a lot of TLC into their food. This glacé is very popular, I have been in there many times and have seen the Don Davis employees buying boxes full of donuts for their employees and clients. The customer service is second to none. One afternoon I was craving the breakfast sandwiches however they were closed. The cashier still invited me inside and made them fresh for me. This is a little donut shop with some of the SWEETEST people ever! I come here quite a few times a week for their glazed donuts. Always fresh, light and perfectly glazed. Not too sweet, its the perfect donut. The lady in front is always in a great mood. Never seen her slip up, even a little no matter the rush or indecisive people (like me sometimes). The service itself would keep me back. Tried the sausage croissant once. It was pretty good. My kids enjoy the chocolate sprinkles or strawberry with sprinkles.
