This hotel is so beautiful and like a hidden gem. It looks small up front but when you walk inside, there is a big castle like hotel building. The restaurant has a beautiful overview of the backyard flower garden and green mountain. The environment feels very relax and there is also a beautiful golf course inside that you can oversee the mountain.

Great location to the center of town. Near the park and a long walk to the water. The rooms were beautiful and service was excellent.

Hopefully SLH reevaluates and makes them improve or removes them. This is by no means a luxury hotel. Especially the rooms. This is more in line with what you would expect at a cheaper B&B. It's like they spent all their money in the common areas and did a cheap flip in the rooms. NOTHING about the rooms speaks luxury let alone a nice hotel or even above average for that matter. For better or worse I stay at nicer hotels 80-90 nights a year. My review comes from that perspective. Price was close to 260 euros a night at time of booking. I would recommend staying at one of the many rooms above pubs in the area that are both nicer and cheaper. Pros. Great location. Nice seating area in common area. Cons. Rooms. Nothing nice to say except they were clean. Not even a single bad painting on the wall. Bathrooms. Shower was claustrophobic at best. Breakfast. Area was absolute chaos. Could not accommodate number of guests in hotel. Service. No one at front desk for over 10 minutes for checkout at 7:30 am. Had to leave keys and leave.

The highlight of our stay was the Kenmare Bay Luxury Lodges, The lodges are self-catering and are ideal for families and groups, accommodating 4-5 guests. Each lodge has a spacious back garden and a designated parking space. and are fully equipped with all essential amenities. The lodges ensure a pleasant and hassle-free experience throughout your stay. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful and added hugely to our stay. While we didn't stay in the hotel ourselves we caught a glimpse of the rooms which were spacious and tastefully decorated. The hotel itself offered a large amount of modern amenities, with the most impressive being the wellness centre which includes a Spa, Pool, Gym, and Sauna. The dining experience at the hotel was nothing short of amazing, with the dinner menu being a true highlight. The menu offered was a testament to the incredible talent of the chefs. Similarly, the buffet-style breakfast served at the hotel was equally exceptional, providing a satisfying start to each day. The hotel's charming bar, which occasionally hosted live music, created a warm and inviting atmosphere where guests could unwind. Another advantage of staying at Kenmare Bay Hotel is its convenient location, just a short walk from the town of Kenmare. There is a well-lit path with street lamps directly from the hotel to the town center via the Bridge Road where we had the chance to admire Cromwell's Arch during our stroll, one of Kenmares famous landmarks. Kenmare town was super busy, and all the bars and restaurants were lively even during the weekdays. Kenmare is a great base for drives such as the Ring of Kerry, the Beara Peninsula Drive, and the Ballaghbeama Gap. Whether you prefer coastal routes or inland explorations, Kenmare's central location is an ideal starting point. I can't find any fault with Kenmare Bay Hotel and Luxury Lodges. From the attentive staff to the comfortable lodges, excellent amenities, and convenient location, our overall experience was nothing short of exceptional.

Combine this with the atmosphere of the town and area it was a great hotel. If I'm in the area again this would be a stop without a doubt.

The stillness of the lake is only broken by the occasional fish, and stocked birdfeeders are always aflutter with winged activity. Neil welcomed my group of 13 with genuine warmth, & got us checked in to our 7 rooms. Our windows either faced the grazing sheep & lambs, or the lake & mountains. Swallows flew in & out of their mud nests on the eaves all day, and we could hear their tiny twitters. After checking in, we all headed down to the hotel bar where Neil introduced us to local stouts, ciders & vodka. My Stonewell Medium Dry Irish Craft Cider was DELICIOUS. He even showed us a picture of his grandparents in front of the original (much smaller than it is now) hotel, many decades ago. There is rich history proudly commemorated in the framed art lining the hallways - lots of stories in these walls! Dinner was amazing. We had seen Chef Katy's brown bread Youtube video, so it was a treat to meet her in person. She has daily dinner specials that highlight the fresh fish that comes in. We loved all our entrees, but the brown bread & this starter left several of us talking: Irish Cheese Salad, Local Gubbeen, Coolea Cheese, Cashel Blue Cheese, smoked bacon, roast walnuts, caramelized balsamic & orange dressing. Breakfast was a mixture of self service meusli, stewed prunes/apricots/figs, grapefruit supremes, scones & croissants, cold cereals, yogurts, Katy's delish brown bread, brown bread crackers & cheeses, juices & tea or coffee and a menu of hot items to order from. As a guest here, you will feel the deep peacefulness from being surrounded by nature, & from warm personalized service. When hearing that one of my group had become ill, Neil & his team went out of their way to make him as comfortable as possible, offering pitchers of filtered ice water, soup & brown bread, and tea & porridge to bring up to his room. Whether you are looking to plan a lovely dinner, stay a weekend, or plan a romantic wedding, this is your winning spot.

Our servers were very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely superb. The fish tasting starter with 6 different fish to sample was excellent. The black sole on bone was among the best fish dishes I've enjoyed. The other entree-brill and swordfish was very good. The grill was lightly fried and tasty, the swordfish was cooked enough but not dry. The vegetables and potatoes that accompanied the fish were well prepared and tasty. We didn't have room for dessert. I ordered the microbrewery flight and received 4 to try. The lighter beers were better in my opinion, though I usually prefer dark beer or stout. There are other highly rated restaurants in Baltimore, we didn't try any of those. In my opinion, you will likely be very satisfied at Casey's.
