They handled everything, seamlessly. Let me tell you, dealing with the VA and Arlington National Cemetery is no easy matter. Everything we needed during that difficult time. I was also expecting a high pressure sales environment and was on my guard for anything that seemed self serving (I'm suspicious and skeptical by nature). Our experience was the exact opposite of that expectation. From the basic planning to the extra arrangements we were dealt with more than fairly and even talked out of what I thought would have been easy (and not superfluous) upsale. In this age of large companies we all have become accustomed to giving up on customer service and personal attention to detail. Mullis Funeral home is one of those rare places that still prides itself on the customer's happiness and value. Im lucky to have had the experience that allowed me the opportunity to write this review.

My family is still reeling from the insensitive way Mullins handled our mom's burial today…read more The representative from Mullins rushed the entire thing as if he was late for an appointment. First, he asked us to follow the hearse in our car, then halfway through the ride, he blew a yellow light and kept going. At the cemetery it was rush, rush, rush. The final blow was, as I collected the other half of the funeral home's payment from my sister, the Mullins guy took my place as pallbearer and carried my mom to her grave without me. The other pallbearers protested, but he ignored them. We were in and out of the cemetery in about 20 minutes. This was as cold and uncaring an experience as I've ever had. My sister left in tears over it. And I was robbed of the experience of carrying my mom to her final resting place, all because the Mullins guy was late for lunch or something. My family will hurt for a long time because of it.

Upon entering you feel like you are being welcomed by a country park. The entrance is beautiful and decorated with vibrant flowers. My amazing and loving uncle was taken much to early from us two plus years ago. We were visiting our beloved Aunt and all visited Uncle Rino to show our respect, share a few stories and tell him how much we missed him. The Cemetery grounds were immaculate and beautiful. While we were showing our respects staff approached us with water for the flowers and tidied up the resting site. Honestly the site was in perfect condition. Then the most touching experience was when one of the grounds worker said God Bless you and your family. We all were moved beyond words that they took time to come over and greet us. Outstanding. 100% asset to your Cemetery business. Thank you for being thoughtful you!! If I wasn't going to be cremated this is where I'd want to rest. I highly recommend!

Amazing that the company is now posting here, talking about family dynamics to which they have no actual knowledge. Further, leaving my name off of the paperwork, is likely a felony, as the documents are related to probate court. P.S. to Meoba (who posted a five star review even though they work for the company)...the person I spoke with on the phone, told me their name was Abraham. I have it recorded. Thank you for confirming to me that your company did not even have the courtesy of being honest about who I was speaking with on the phone. 2ND EDIT: Since Meoba from Abraham Green & Sons is threatening to shame me by releasing the email that I sent to my cousin in 2010, I'll just post that message here. Shame me? Abraham Green Funeral Home attempts to SHAME customers into taking down negative reviews? MY GOODNESS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Here's the 2010 email they are threatening me with: Cheryl - Yes, I'm aware that Judaism frowns upon cremation. However, there isn't anything in the law that explains what to do if one doesn't have the means, in this modern age, to pony up the absurd $7k price tag. Honestly, if you think a proper Jewish burial is the way to do this, then I suggest you contact whatever synagogue would be proper/open to listening, and explain the situation and see if they have a fund for such a scenario or congregants who are willing to donate the money. Otherwise, I see no happenstance that will allow for that kind of expenditure. Thanks, Marc THIRD EDIT: The company took down their "review" that revealed my personal information. Thankfully, I took a screen capture so I can show just how rude and unprofessional they were. See the image attached...

At the…read moreinitial meeting we had with Neil, he thanked us for entrusting him with this important service. Neil went out of his way to meet with us on a holiday weekend so we could begin to make arrangements for my mother's funeral. He explained all options in detail, including costs, and guided us through every decision we had to make: viewing, funeral service, burial, casket, flowers, pall bearers, obituary, and death certificates. He coordinated very well with the church. What stands out most is how beautiful my mother looked in the casket on the day of her funeral: as we had requested, her hair was colored and styled as she would have liked it, her makeup was flattering, her nails were nicely done, her rosary was well-placed in her hands, and even the guardian angel pin we had left in her nursing home room was pinned to her jacket. Parking and traffic control were handled very well on the day of the funeral. Neil guided us every step of the way so that we could focus on my mother, knowing that he had taken care of every detail. Throughout, Neil was caring and sensitive to making sure our needs were met during this difficult time. Maresca & Sons exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend them.
