My sister passed away late in 2019, just before the COVID outbreak. I placed her at the Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport after checking here and finding they charged significantly more for the same kind of interment. I mean a triple-digit percentage more. Recently I have seen prices on Willowbrook's website very close to what I paid at MGC, indicating that perhaps my inquiry was an indication to them they were being outpriced by other local cemeteries. I don't know if I would have placed my sister here had they cut their prices sooner, but it is possible. Willowbrook isn't as majestic as MGC--that was designed by P.T. Barnum no less--but it's pleasant and serene, and closer to what was home. I continue to find new recognizable names every time I visit.

It wasn't done. 3) We requested to have the hearse ride past two homes that meant a great deal to Mom - and are a stone's throw from the cemetery. That wasn't done, either. There were other examples of half effort and lack of attention to detail. Overall, the level of service and care seems to have fallen far from where it used to be.
