I want to start by saying in the front is wayyyyy to close I seen so many reviews that said the front seats are the best place. I had to move my seats to the right side back the view was still great and the sounds was good. I like that manager of Paris theater comes out before the movie to speak to the crowd and telling us to enjoy our experience. The snacks are so cheap I be like the popcorn is $7 and if you sign up to the newsletter you get a free box of popcorn remember to that. It's only one theater inside I was surprised I thought it was different rooms showing multiple movies. But I would recommend everyone to watch a movie here

The only reason they lost a star was because it was advertised that additional concessions items can be purchased at the concession stand yet there wasn't one and I was STARVING! Otherwise, excellent screening of the short film Anuja! Great work of art and the theatre was great! Comfortable seating, swift entry despite the long line and complimentary snacks as advertised. 2 thumbs up and I'd love to return to watch other things here. Oui Oui Pari(s)!

The chairs have a very reduced space in front of them and do not have the proper slope to allow visibility, I had to lean on my right side for 2 and a half hours to be able to partially watch the screen between the heads of the people seating in front of me. I would not be coming back and would not recommend, it's a shame because their movie selection is very good.

Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock (1960) - played on June 20, 2025

What I got: Adult Ticket (~$17) Fresh Popcorn (~$7) Regular Fountain Drink (~$4) Aya's take: As a New Yorker, I'm ashamed at the amount of times I've walked past this legendary Paris Theater without ever checking it out! It turns out the Paris Theater is the longest running arthouse cinema in NYC and is Manhattan's only single-screen cinema with 535 seats. You may notice an "N" logo and that's because as of Nov 2019, Netflix operates the theater. We had tickets for Psycho (1960) directed by Alfred Hitchcock. This is part of "HITCH! The Original Cinema Influencer" going on May-June 2025. It's the 4k restoration of the movie which was out of circulation in all formats until 2020. We also got a brief introduction of the movie and Hitchcock by Columbia University film professor and writer Annette Insdorf. The concessions are located downstairs and I will say are surprisingly affordable! The Popcorn & Fountain Drink were the perfect snack to accompany this horror/mystery movie. If you're a New Yorker or just visiting, add Paris Theater to your itinerary!

The Miracle of Morgan's Creek (1944)

I visited the Paris Theater for a double feature on Thursday night and had a great time. It claims to be the longest-running arthouse cinema in the City - opened by French distributor Pathé as a showcase for their films and opened on September 13, 1948. The theater is now owned by Netflix, so it hosts some Netflix-specific events and screenings in addition to screenings of classics, foreign films, and more. When I went on Thursday night, it was the night of their "A Century of Romance: Star-Crossed, On the Run, and Happily Ever After" series. I caught two classic romance movies - Design for Living from 1933 and The Miracle of Morgan's Creek from 1944. The theater is nice - very large - with an orchestra floor and a mezzanine. There's a small bar area downstairs where I grabbed a coffee between the screenings. Independent movie theaters aren't having a great time of it right now, and some around the country are closing. So it's great that Netflix has kept the Paris open, not just for screenings of their films and shows but also for cinema series and events! I'd happily return to the Paris for another screening!

I had the pleasure of seeing a special screening here. The staff provided great customer service. The bathrooms are clean and there is a concession stand that is affordable. The only down side is this theater does not accept cash at the concession stand downstairs or at the ticket booth. There is a machine downstairs that converts your cash into a card. You can use the card towards your purchase at the concession stand.

Had a Great time at the movie premiere for fixed ... nice atmosphere old time feel ... staff was friendly

I came here to see the Netflix premiere of the Diplomat. I was told that Netflix purchased this theater and is now showing exclusive premieres. I recall a couple months ago the theater was packed for an Emily in Paris premiere. We were told to arrive early due to overbooking. We had to wait outside for a short time but eventually made it inside. They provided popcorn and water in the front. Afterwards you are escorted to your seat. There is a main row on the first level and additional seating in the balcony. The seats were very tight. You were bunched up next to the people around you. This was not enjoyable. The show was great even though it was only one episode which lasted about 40 minutes or so. I don't know if I would last for an entire movie in these tiny seats. Netflix should definitely spend some money to renovate this theater. Nice spacious seating would help a lot. I would love to come here for the next premiere but probably would not go out of my way.

James Dean would sit at this theater and watch movies as much as possible! 06/04/23

I cannot believe our seats moved during every action scene. Only downside was this couple sitting next to us who wouldn't shut the heck up. Without giving away the movie you do need to see thunderbolts (new avengers) before seeing this Spiderman. I was happy to see one of my favorite strange things characters in the movie. I didn't feel any mist in my seat because the boring couple next to me turned theirs off. I was so happy when the lady went to the bathroom I was able to enjoy the movie more. I recommend going to a higher level to watch the movie I was in D13 & D13. Next time I will sit further in the back because there were some scenes that I saw flashing lights in my side view. Either way it was wonderful for my first time. I don't recommend getting popcorn it will fly everywhere. Haha. While the ticket prices were high its worth it in my book. Your paying for an experience. The loud banging noises were super cool. I did notice the isle seats move a lot more than the inner seats. I think this will be the only way I will watch marvel movies from now on! The seats were clean, the floors were clean. I was pretty surprised at how clean the theather was overall. Don't come tho if you are going to be a chatter box. If you have add you might get distracted by the moving seats pop an Adderall if you need too! I can't wait to go back to experience scents to certain scenes. I'm definitely seeing doomsday at this theather. But I am gonna try to sit in row H or I so I can see more visual effects. Still not bad for my first time.

The theater was clean, well maintained, and the staff we interacted with were friendly and pleasant. Our seats were comfortable, and one feature we especially appreciated was the built-in trays. It's such a simple detail, but it made a big difference for our kids--they didn't have to balance popcorn, snacks, and drinks in their laps for the entire movie. The only downside was that the sound seemed a bit louder than necessary during parts of the movie. It wasn't enough to ruin the experience, but we definitely noticed it. Overall, we had a great visit and would happily return for another family movie night. The comfortable seating, thoughtful tray tables, and convenient Times Square location made it an easy choice for celebrating a special occasion.

I was going to say the seats are in better condition than the AMC 84th but one of our seats didn't recline. They have beer now... so there's that. After the movie we got to talking with one of the security guards and he was telling us stories about the Odyssey 70mm IMAX showings. The demand was so crazy people were standing along the wall, sitting in wheelchair spots, and bringing beach chairs. As soon as the guard mentioned it, some dude was going up the escalator with two big ass beach chairs. Not even the type that fold into a carrying bag. The guard was very enlightening. He talked about the different clientele and culture between theaters. The Bay Plaza AMC will definitely not allow outside food. The Lincoln Square 13 doesn't care. And there's an AMC I think out on the Island that will hold the food for you so you don't have to throw it away. On our way out we mentioned to him that our seat didn't recline and he suggested we tell the person at the box office and that we could get a voucher for another showing. We went over to the box office and told the guy Theater 1 Seat F15 didn't work. He didn't notate it anywhere and went right back to his phone. So no voucher for us! These tickets are not cheap. The least we should expect are working seats.
